  1. There was a one second scene in the trailer suggesting this but if you ever played the real game you'd know that this isn't really what this game is about.
  2. That would render the whole colony aspect irrelevant. If colonizing would only mean to plop down some stuctures then there's no advantage to KSP 1.
  3. Fallout 76 still has old bugs from Fallout 3 and reuses assets from Skyrim and other old Bethesda games. And that's a AAA title.
  4. The first step is to identify what components you actually have. There have been nine generations of i7 CPUs and every generation had multiple different versions in it. Same goes for the GPU. If you have the actual names of your components, you can compare them to newer ones or to the ones recommended for the games you're looking at. Then you should wait with the upgrade until you actually need the performance. There's absolutely no point in upgrading in advance. Well no, you moved the thread to the question.
  5. Are you doing a gravity turn at all? Because all you said sounds like you're trying to just launch straight up with your first stage.
  6. Is it in KerbalSpaceProgram/GameData/JSI/RasterPropMonitor/Plugins or in KerbalSpaceProgram/GameData/GameData/JSI/RasterPropMonitor/Plugins In the latter case it should be pretty obvious what went wrong. Never blindly extract mods. Always check the contained folder structure first.
  7. It is faster than the integrated Vega 8. But two things you might want to consider: 1) KSP ist not very graphics heavy. So unless you intend to use some graphics heavy mods the Vega 8 will probably suffice. 2) The GT 1030 might be stronger than the Vega 8, but it is still an extremely slow entry level GPU with only 2GB of RAM. For other games and graphics intensive mods I would at least recommend an AMD RX 570. So it might be a good idea to stick to the Vega 8 and some fast RAM and then upgrade your system with a new and better GPU in the future when you saved enough money for one.
  8. AMD integrated graphics solution need every bit of memory bandwith they can get. I would get at least a 3000MHz RAM kit.
  9. For some reason there's not much information about this on the net but this slightly frustrating to watch video explains what I was talking about: He's basically pulling the numbers from his behind but from the values he's using the most likely reason why noone cares about this is that it'll only concerns really highly OCed RAM. If you're running your stuff at 3200 then anything will go. What I really don't get is why the RAM slots that are farther away seem to be the more potent in the daisy chain setup. But I looked at my mainboard manual and it is recommending that you should fill the slots that are farther away first (the lighter colored slots in the video).
  10. Yes. That doesn't imply in any way that you should fill all of them. It's just there so you can add more RAM later or try to fill it up with as much as possible. If you're just going for a normal amount of RAM you can achieve with only two sticks then you should use only two sticks.
  11. Most boards have a memory layout that works better with only two sticks and might not achieve the same speed with four.
  12. The launcher has been abandoned since version 1.0. You need to download the most recent version from the store you bought it from.
  13. The next generation of consoles will have eight core CPUs with 16 threads so that will most likely become the next yardstick for AAA gaming. With older games more cores don't scale well or can even be slightly detrimental like with Cities: Skylines. AMD said they're supporting AM4 until 2020, so we will likely see another generation. If that'll already be Zen 3 or just a rehash of Zen 2 remains to be seen. On the other hand DDR5 RAM seems to come out in 2020 as well. I would assume that they would launch a new socket for the new RAM. In the worst case they'll just release a few Zen 2 APUs for AM4 while launching Zen 3 on the successor of AM4.
  14. Yes. AMD currently has two sockets: for consumers you have the Ryzen CPUs on the AM4 socket and for semi-professionals you have the Ryzen Threadripper CPUs on the TR4 socket. And that board is for the latter. For KSP I would get the 3600 or instead of the 2700x because it has more single core power.
  15. Depends on how much you're willing to pay. I filtered the list for X470 and X570 boards with a decent VRM setup: https://skinflint.co.uk/?cat=mbam4&sort=p&xf=16586_8~317_X470~317_X570~3784_SLI There are two comparatively cheap X470s from Asus, but both don't have WiFi.
  16. Sorry but it is completely insane to plan this stuff three years in advance. Until then there will have been at least another two generations of GPUs and CPUs and your second list is already composed of outdated parts from the last generation. Not to mention that you don't know what you'll actually need this machine for. You can only use one CPU cooler at a time. Two is a completely useless waste of money. You have two completely different sticks of RAM in both of your lists. You need a kit of two of the same kind. And preferebly fast ones and not just the cheapest you can find. You also most likely won't ever need a sound card for 229$ because there's a perfectly fine sound chip on every mainboard. Like most mainboards the one you chose already has a LAN connector, so there's no use in buying a dedicated adapter. Why is there an incredibly old 4:3 monitor without LED backlighting in you list? And why two sets of speakers? You also don't have SLI with only one video card. But as xXKSP_playerXx already mentioned: SLI and Crossfire are dead. If you're on a budget then you'd need to look for an AMD GPU. A handy chart to pick somewhat balanced parts from can be found here: https://www.logicalincrements.com/
  17. Are you using an older version of the game or launch the game through the launcher? Because that engine version is pretty old. The 3GB limit seems to be either a driver issue or you're actually running a 32bit version of the game. If you're using the launcher the log is not from the game but from the launcher itself, which is still 32bit because it has been abandoned since 2015 and should be avoided at all costs. For game versions of 1.4 or higher you can find the real output log in "%USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Squad\Kerbal Space Program\output_log.txt".
  18. That's for versions before 1.4. Check %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Squad\Kerbal Space Program\output_log.txt
  19. People will still need to see the logs to actually get any idea what is happening.
  20. You could just upload them to imgur.com and then either link the pictures individually or the whole album. If they're on Google drive you need to set them to public and then post a link to them. And be careful with that "fresh install" stuff. Steam won't remove the mod files you yourself put into the game. If you just uninstall and reinstall the game, all your old mishaps will still be there.
  21. You'll always get logs. The pinned thread is telling you where to find them:
  22. By ignoring that field and just clicking on the drop down menu above it.
