1. It's a bit out of date since 1.0.5 came out but, this is a tutorial I created on career mode. http://imgur.com/a/85cpa#0
2. This rocket below might work for you if you exchange the LV-909 with another LV-T45, or just leave the LV-909 out, but use the rest.
3. Have the Manoeuvre Planner open. Once you are in Mun's SOI, click on the "manoeuvre node to" button and change it to "change inclination", if you need to (IE if you need to change the inclination) Leave "New inclination" set to 0 degrees, but change it to "after a fixed time" which you also set to 0. Execute that node Select "change periapsis" and enter a new periapsis height, say 30km, then select "after a fixed time" and make that 0 seconds. Execute that node Select "circularize" and "at the next periapsis" Execute that node and you're finished.
4. Version 1.0.4 changed the way heating works. Radiators weren't so necessary as a result. 1.0.5 might change that again. Standby. You might need them again.
5. It wasn't written for this purpose, but my tutorial called "KSP Career Mode for Absolute Beginners - Part 3" starting at this slide http://imgur.com/a/LHoNm#81 shows how to get into a polar orbit of Mun and do EVA reports for loads of science.
6. In the Tutorials sub-folder underneath this one you'll find this tutorial.
7. If you are looking for direction, and you aren't doing it already, I would recommend you start a career mode game. Career mode leads you through with missions coming up as your experience increases.
8. They are the runways magnetic direction. 09 means 090 degrees from north. 18 means 180 degrees from north. 27 means 270 degrees from north.
9. If the mod you want says it's current for version 1.0 or 1.0.2, then it will more than likely run in 1.0.4. I have three that complain that they aren't compatible every time I start up. They work perfectly well. The changes from 1.0 to 1.0.4 aren't huge.
10. I don't know what the cause of your problem is, but the TAC Fuel Balancer mod might be an answer. It will automatically balance fuel in all tanks, if you ask it to.
11. Oh, I understood you. I'm just not that interested. Thanks for taking the time to answer though. I might give it another go when there is a 64 bit version of the game available. See if the power of my PC can be utilised.
12. Yeah, I had this problem a few pages ago. :-) I removed the Raster Prop Monitor mod and I was back to normal. Nils277 did give me other options, but I wasn't using RPM anyway, so... [Edit] - I just saw that the latest version says: Updated support for RPM to be compatible with switchable window transparency So if you still have the old version an update might fix it. I might try putting RPM back myself, and see if it is better now.
13. Hmm... I think I read somewhere that they were making the atmospheres more linear as far as density changes go. I can't remember where I read that, and I could have dreamed it, but I'm reasonably sure that's the case.
14. I did a similar thing when arriving in the Jool system, with a base to land on Pol. I set the Pe to the same distance from Jool as Pol is and circularised there. It seemed to work very well. I didn't do a comparison with the other option though.
15. In the Tutorial thread you will find this explanation.
16. I added some more craft. Moon/Duna Lander Moon Lander Launch System Ike/Duna Launch System Nuclear Tugs As before, these are not meant to be ideal craft. These are suggestions for people who are new and having trouble.
17. In real life, astronauts used a computerised autopilot. http://history.nasa.gov/computers/Ch2-1.html
18. Yes, I do have RPM. Thanks for the info. I'll try removing RPM for now, I don't use it anyway. Thanks! Edit: Yeah, that fixed it. I did lose the transparent windows, but I'll live with that. Thanks.
19. Hey! Love the mod. Love the latest update. But since that came out I'm getting some serious lag whenever I'm near a ship or base with the mod parts. Anyone know why that might be?
20. Increase your orbit to, say, 150 km. You can then timewarp faster, and the other ship will catch up with you quicker to, because of the orbit difference.
21. Here's a picture of my Minmus mining base. I lift the fuel to an orbital station 200 km above Minmus. It uses KAS/KIS and yes, you run pipes between the various craft to link them and transfer fuel etc.
