  1. Is it possible for this version of Procedural Wings to be able to offset one side of a wing? Kinda like this:
  2. So for automatically-disabling mods like FAR and KJR, is there any way to override this and allow them to run? - - - Updated - - - Since John FX, you just mentioned that FAR and Realchutes failed to run even with the mod-compatibility unfixer utility?
  3. So I'm not sure if this issue has been fixed yet, but I noticed I don't have any IVA pictures of my Kerbals when they are inside of a capsule from this pack, like the Heart capsule. And plus, is this mod compatible with CLS and Ship Manifest? Because even if I connect the Heart capsule to, for example, an OKS module, it doesn't let me transfer the Kerbal through.
  4. Turns out there was something borked in my IR install since I was missing parts. Reinstalled and I got the gantry.
  5. So in the OP, I saw that there was mention of gantry rails. I can't find anything like that in the current IR pack including the expansion packs. Were they deprecated?
  6. Sorry I should clarify. I guess I'm looking for a mod that can give the player some level of temperature regulation for vessels, not only when using Nuclear engines or during atmospheric heating. Since electronic/ship components and Kerbals themselves should have temperature limits before they go kaput, the role of radiators can be expanded upon from just merely cooling off a nuclear reactor/engine. And if I'm not mistaken, the temperatures in space can vary wildly due to being in direct contact to the sun's radiation and then being behind a planet blocking the sun. - - - Updated - - - I have used the Interstellar mod, but if I recall, the only things producing waste heat is the reactors and solar panels but nothing else to present the player with the necessity for radiators to maintain a operable environment within the spacecraft.
  7. Quick question. What are all the sources of waste heat that this mod implements? Solar panels, reactors, is that it? Are there any other sources?
  8. Is there a way to disable the decoupling feature on the mounts? Would I have to modify the cfg?
  9. That's music to my ears Nathan! 1.0.3 will be amazing! So now a life support mod just has to take advantage of that system right? Because right now, the internal heat in Deadly Reentry, if I'm not mistaken, is being used for in atmospheric entry heating from some heat being transferred from the heat shield to the ship?
  10. D'oh of course, I forgot about the Kerbal's well being! That makes sense though. Remembering the thermodynamics unit in my university physics course, I don't doubt that the mod would be complex. The reason why I asked is because I was inspired by a video by Bob Fitch in his Project Odyssey series: He somehow implemented Interstellar Waste heat system to simulate vessel temperature regulation. So I'm wondering if it is still possible.
  11. First of all just to clarify, why does the ISS have heat radiators? I've been wondering if it is possible to make a mod that simulates the waste heat that the ISS dissipates with its radiators. I don't mean from nuclear reactors like in the Near Future Electrical Mod or from only the Nuclear engines, but universal waste heat generated from electrical components, machinery, and being in direct contact to the sun in space. I'm aware that if you are orbiting close to Kerbol or orbit/land on Moho heat becomes a problem, but I want a heating factor (internal heating due to electrical components?) that's present in all vessels, therefore presenting a need for managing heat using radiators like on most space vessels in reality. I'm aware that this idea probably doesn't appeal to a lot of players, but for people who want extra realism, I think it increases immersion (at least for me).
  12. Is there a part mod that contains docking adaptors that are still crew transferrable? As in a part that can convert a Clamp-o -tron senior to a normal clamp-o-tron but still allow kerbals to pass through.
  13. Are you playing on 0.90? I had this exact undocking bug when I was in 0.90 and I solved it by updating Kerbal joint Reinforcement to the latest version.
  14. Understood. Well, you can have my thanks for your efforts then. Maybe I'll take some time to understand the configs then. I have taken high school/1st year university python and java courses but am not sure how that's gonna be a help in developing mods in KSP.
  15. I want to help in the development of ISRU for RO and RSS, since I really want something like Karbonite except per reality. I don't have knowledge of programming, so can I donate if you need it regex? I want to help in SOME way since this mod would make RO so much more interesting to play in.
  16. I'm sorry if this is a trivial problem, but for some reason, even in sandbox mode, my Kerbinside ground stations don't have red dots to show that Remote tech is working. I only see a red dot in the default KSC location. How do I enable remote tech on ground stations with Kerbinside? EDIT: Nevermind, found it in the OP. But where do I put the code for the RT2 config?
  17. PIN, STICKY, WORSHIP, PRAISE, ADORE THIS POST PLEASE WHATEVER NECESSARY. This post saved me from giving up playing KSP with all my mods in Linux because of the awful stutter. Performance could still be better on linux, but it's perfectly playable now. A thousand thanks to you D_U.
  18. I have already learned and gotten used to the fact that the RCS wheels on RO are nerfed like IRL. That's why I'm looking for more powerful RCS thrusters to move my heavy refueling station module around in orbit. The RCS thrusters in RO are nothing as powerful as the thrusters found in the Shuttle.
  19. I know they do. That's why I mentioned in my last post that I tried fuels like Aerozine + N2O4 on the most powerful RCS thruster and the thrust is still around 0.46. Can it get any larger than that? Are there different RCS thrusters can can give a thrust greater than 0.46? - - - Updated - - - I see. So does RO include RCS that are in the 3kN range? Because I can't seem to find any (or maybe I'm mixing up Kerbal speak with units in kN)
  20. Is it just me, or do all the RCS thrusters (no matter what type) seem really weak? The max thrust for all of them is like 0.46 (by checking the show engine gui menu) even at the highest tech level and most powerful fuel. Are there any more powerful RCS Thrusters that works with RO?
  21. Now do you feel the pain of us amd folks who just want to mod?
  22. With unpolished GPU drivers, the GPU DOES matter. I have a 3770k i7 OC'd to 4.5 Ghz desktop CPU with a 7970 Radeon card, and in Windows Opengl, it runs decent. But in Linux, it's unbearable. Moving the camera drops the framerate drastically, instability issues everywhere and overall average framerates are lower than I see on Windows despite the powerful CPU. I suspect it also has something to do with the Unity Engine in Linux, but judging by how I see Nvidia users not noticing FPS problems in Linux and so many unhappy AMD GPU users you can't say that the GPU doesn't matter. I personally tried KSP on Ubuntu 14 with my Radeon rig and it was painful, despite the uncapped memory potential. Here's a reddit thread about the current state of using AMD gpu's for KSP in linux: https://www.reddit.com/r/KerbalSpaceProgram/comments/2uzj9h/psa_users_of_linux_version_of_ksp_with_amd/ But you are right in that the physics engine also needs a total revamp. On opengl, I noticed that even with a ship that only has around 150 parts the timer starts blinking yellow with the physics timers set at 0.04. Anyway, rant over. Enjoy the lappy.
  23. You still won't get the performance as if you're playing on Windows but you'll be fine. Have fun with KSP on linux! That feeling you have when you know you can install all the mods you want is indescribable
  24. If that new laptop has an AMD GPU in it, you're not gonna be so happy as you are now. AMD's driver performance in linux is still god awful with OpenGl.
  25. Thanks for your efforts Nathan. I've been holding back on even running 1.0 just because I can't live without RO, Real Fuels and RSS. I've grown to love reality too much!
