1. This is a known issue with the 64-bit client; the 32-bit version of the game does not have this issue. You can manually edit the save file to have the buildings properly upgraded to match the visuals, but otherwise using the 32-bit version of the game is the only way around it. EDIT: Ninja'd. Claw, get back to your castle on the clouds. This is my job, mmkay?
2. Does KSP work at all? Are you able to run it? It seems like the patcher halted on trying to transfer a file it was currently writing to, which shouldn't be too much of an issue... the only potential issue that might turn up is if there are other files it needs to download after that one. Hmm... Worst comes to worst, you can always download a complete copy from the KSP Store instead of using the patcher, but it might work as-is, so might be worth trying to run it.
3. Mechanical parts are one of the many items on the [thread=36863]What Not to Suggest List[/thread]; as such, I'll have to close this. Also, this is in entirely the wrong section, so {Moved::Suggestions}. However, should you wish to discuss this kind of idea, this thread here may interest you.
4. Not sure if it'll be perfect for your purposes, but Lightworks is a pretty solid video editor, and is free with very few limitations. They do have a paid version, but you really don't get much more for the money.

It reminds me of a pencil. The lead and the eraser wear away, and though the wooden part is also worn away in time and was indeed once grown, it will not regrow.
6. It depends on how badly the save is damaged. If the entire roster is missing, as it seems to be, it's likely there are many other parts of the save file missing as well, which would likely indicate that the save file is significantly damaged. There's a good chance it's beyond repair. However, if you have a recent quicksave file or other backup of the save file, you can simply replace the persistent.sfs file in the save with that quicksave file. If you have no backups, there's not much more you can do than to delete the save and start over. If you want to save the craft files you have in that save, simply backup the Ships folder before deleting the save and then copy it back into another save folder.
7. Looks like you've got a corrupted craft file in your Ships\SPH folder. Also, we can't view that file with your current privacy settings. Anyway, to fix this, just move all your .craft files out of the Ships\SPH folder, then try to create a simple craft and reload it to confirm that the SPH does in fact work again. Then, start putting the craft files you took out back in, one at a time, testing the Load button each time. When it stops working, you've found the broken file. There's not much you'll be able to do other than deleting it, I'm afraid. Broken files that cause this kind of error are typically missing just about everything, so rebuilding from scratch is more or less the only option there is, unfortunately.
8. I believe this is a known bug, though I can't quite remember how to reproduce it myself... there is a definite set of scenarios that will easily trigger it, though.

Gah, I was going to guess clouds, but it seems I am too late...
10. I believe this limitation had something to do with Unity, but judging from the devnotes from a few weeks back, it should be fixed in the next version.
11. There's a Unity bug in the current version that for some reason defines the 'center' of each joystick axis as being wherever the joystick happens to be positioned when the game starts up. There's not a lot that can be done about it at the present time, though.
12. ... every object in the game that has an orbit of any kind has to be kept track of. You could generate random ones in general proximity of craft in a certain region, but it wouldn't be any kind of actual asteroid belt.
13. Moved to Suggestions. There's one major flaw with this idea. Even if they aren't shown in the tracking station, the game still needs to keep track of their orbits... which is going to cause significant lag, no matter what you do.
14. Actually, that's base 60. Base 12 would be a far more useful number system for general purposes, though; 12 has factors of 2, 3, 4, and 6, making it considerably easier to perform common divisions in base-12. Dozenal, as it is sometimes called, is in pretty much every way a superior number system. Base-8 isn't much better than base-10, really. Dozenal is far better. Well, that would be perfectly sensible if relativistic effects and light-speed meant anything in KSP... alas, they do not.
15. There is, of course, the International forum. I believe the general policy for foreign-language forums is that if there is a sufficient amount of activity (I don't really know where the threshold is, if it's indeed been concretely defined) in the International forum in a certain language, a forum for that language will be created to accommodate those users.
16. I moved it out of the archives, so you should be able to see it now.

If it's for propulsion, it's not generally called a fan. We call those propellers. But yeah, I suppose there are more uses for fans than cooling...

*grumbles unintelligibly* All fans are cooling fans, that's literally what they're designed to do; move air around and cool things down...

Until you said 'think machine', I was thinking it sounded a bit like Earth, and how the Earth's core does some weird stuff. Oooh! Is it a gyroscope?
20. The basic idea of this game is that each person presents an ordinary, everyday scenario, and then asks "What's the worst that could happen?" The next person proceeds to extrapolate that scenario and find the worst case scenario they can possibly think of. Do not use cop-out worst-case scenarios (e.g., 'you could be struck with a nuclear missile') Be detailed, keep things as close to realistic (but interesting!) as you can and (preferably) relevant to the given scenario. Try not to repeat ideas too much. Be thoughtful. An example:

Person 1: I'm driving to work this morning. What's the worst that could happen?

Person 2: As you get into your car, you realise it's out of fuel. Annoyed at the prospect of being late, you rush to your neighbour's house to ask if you can borrow enough fuel off them to get to a petrol station. They acquiesce, but as you're siphoning some fuel out of their tank, they carelessly light a cigarette. The petrol fumes in the air ignite, and the fire quickly reaches their car's fuel tank, whereupon it explodes, shooting jets of flame out of the fuel pipe. You, as well as your neighbour, wake up in hospital recovering from second-degree burns.

While you are free to pick out any scenario you wish, I would recommend giving fairly ordinary scenarios -- the point of the game is to get from the ordinary to the extraordinary without using excessively unlikely connections. Well, let's see how we go. I'll offer a scenario to start. I'm carrying my groceries into my house. What's the worst that could happen?
21. Granted. We got you a Tesla Model S. I wish I could play the piano better.

Hmm. So it spins in place, and is either circular or spherical (most likely). Is it a cog (a gear wheel)? As in clockwork?
23. A change always makes a difference; you can't change something without making some kind of difference, even if the difference is very small.
