  1. Some of these celebrity quotes I came across the other day. I won't mention who said what though. Each of the following statements was said by different people, namely celebrities. "I've got taste. It's inbred in me." (Inbred? I mean, don't all of us apart from you also have 'taste'?!) "And now the sequence of events, in no particular order." (Excuse me please, but 'sequence' means what exactly?) And the one that literally takes the cake: "Whenever I watch TV and see those poor starving kids all over the world, I can't help but cry. I mean, I'd love to be skinny like that, but not with all those flies and death and stuff." FACEPALMS galore!
  2. Are we actually talking about dragons being able to fly here? I mean, do dragons even exist, for them being able to fly? Let's get our facts straight: DreamWorks' How to Train Your Dragon is purely an action-fantasy film. Point hence proved. Leave alone the movie for a minute; you should actually try playing these dragon games based on the movie. Read about it and you'll find out that even though it's meant to be a fantasy world of sorts, it actually talks about dragon flying, to give a more realistic feel to the entire game: "Similar to other winged creatures, dragons are unable to fly in the early stages after they first hatch. They must develop the strength to lift off, which can be achieved through regular training and the lessons learned on quests. " And so on...
  3. Latest news: Head of Russia's space agency said that lunar flight program for 2028-2029 will be unmanned, but putting a man on the moon is scheduled for 2029-2030. The lunar flight program for 2028-2029 will be unmanned, but putting a man on the moon is scheduled for 2029-2030, the head of Russia's space agency said this Tuesday. "We need to begin working now to do this," Roscosmos head Igor Komarov said. Komarov added that Roscosmos is already developing all of the preliminary stages for the lunar flight program. The agency aims to become a world leader in space exploration in 2015, specifically with regard to Mars and Moon missions, Komarov said as cited by press service for the United Rocket and Space Corporation, a state-run joint stock company under Roscosmos. It quoted other objectives that the Russian space industry has decided to pursue this year, including involvement in international space projects to send missions to planets in the solar system. The Russian space program has an ambitious agenda. In September 2014, Roscosmos said it was planning to launch a full-scale moon exploration program in 2016-2025 and gave the green light to a project to build a super heavy rocket that is needed to send spacecraft beyond Earth's orbit. 4. A big YAY for Ubuntu. It is not at all Windows-y and does need some getting used to if you haven't used it before (took me a week to find my way around), but now I swear by it and refuse to work on anything else.
  5. Here's what my techie husband suggested: - It's perfectly okay to recharge your laptop battery whether it is fully drained or not. - Leave your laptop plugged into the wall socket whenever possible (like when you are at home). - It doesn't take longer to recharge the battery if you use the laptop while recharging.
  6. Latest news: ISRO's Mars Orbiter successfully completes the fourth trajectory correction manoeuvre and test fire of the main liquid engine of the spacecraft.
