1. Ah, the kind of transciever I want has to be able to be mounted on a pcb, so that unfortunatetly won't cut it
2. Hello guys, I am currently doing a project for resistant materials GCSE, and one of the things I want my product to do is to be able to play music via Bluetooth, I have a speaker, and I bought the HC-05 RS232 TTL 30ft Wireless bluetooth RF Transceiver. However, all the documentation I have found to get it running says that it needs to be hooked up to a separate microcontroller, and I don't really want to go through the hassle of buying and using an arduino. So: Is it possible to make this particular Bluetooth transciever run on its own? If not, can anyone point me to a transciever that can run on its own?
3. Nintendo and companies that make games for them usually have some fantastic music with their games. Such as this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qfp9DvU5-Hs (How do I embed videos?) Also a very good game, as it happens!
4. You could always get the software they use in schools, like Cubase or Sequel (IMO, Cubase is easier to use, since the way it shows you the track is more linear, and just easier to comprehend)
5. Hello, I am having a small problem with a plane I have built. For some reason, when the plane is trying to take off and pulling up, the plane begins to bounce on it's front wheels (the back wheel kicks up), which hinders the plane taking off. Is there a way to rectify this problem. EDIT: So, I set the front landing gear spring and damper to 0.5, and also set the tail gear spring and damper to 2, and the problem was fixed! Thanks for the help guys.
6. Tsiolkovsky Alpha? Konstantin Base One? Y'know, to pay homage to the guy that pioneered a key part of rocketry and essentially made an extraplanetary base possible.
7. I do have some screenshots that bring a smile to my face...
8. Just a small request, but could the link for the config file be changed to a different site, because my antivirus complains that the site is unsafe, and I would rather not take my chances with malware.
9. Hello, I am trying to build a relatively small seaplane (Mk2), but for some reason the aerodynamics of the entire thing is somehow borked. Whenever I load in the craft, and make a takeoff run, as soon as I pull up, the plane immediately flips up so it is backwards, and then promptly belly-flops on the runway. I have tried tweaking the COM and COL to get them closer together (just for clarification, the COL is a little behind the COM, as it should be), but the plane refuses to cooperate. Can any of the more adept plane-builders take a look and see what is wrong. Thanks in advance. 10. I remember the first time I attempted to dock something - I had a small station core and was trying to dock a really big fuel depot to it (the station core was made of 1.25m parts, the fuel depot Mk3!). I had time warped for ages to get a good intercept, and when I got close enough to the thing to begin final docking procedure, my really rubbish RCS pot placement became prevalent. Whenever I tried to align the docking port on the depot with the other one on the core, it had orbited around by 90 degrees, and when I realigned the docking ports, it had gone around again! This went on for another 5 minutes before the fuel depot finally spiraled in and had a rather bumpy docking thanks to those docking magnets. It was quite a hair raising experience - I don't dock too often, but now it's much less scary/terrifying.
11. I remember one time a while back, where I had drained half the fuel in my main orbiters tanks to line up RCS ports...and forgot to fill them back up again. I went on to go in orbit of the Mun and get a survey - but I had like 2 m/s of Dv in the tanks once I had made a trajectory home!
12. Hello, so I have recently made a A10-Thunderbolt based aircraft, and it does its job pretty well. However, it is a little on the twitchy side when it comes to steering (it's actually more maneuverable than any of the jet fighters I've made!), so much so that pressing hard down on the W key causes it to flip out. Is there any way I can make it more stable and less chaotic when it comes to steering? Thanks in advance. PS: I don't have some pictures of it right now, but I can get some if you wish.
13. The game From The Depths, while it is an amazing sandbox game, has a somewhat...clunky and unintuitive UI. The keyboard based building system also is a little hard to get your head around, but you can change to mouse-based if you want.
14. By the looks of it, KerbalStuff is being shut down. I think it's quite important that he uploads it to another place
15. Okay, I'm having a small issue, in that whenever I download the mod, the Goalkeeper CIWS is the old design, without the radar - none of the other new features have been cut, only this one. I've tried re-downloading the mod multiple times, but to no avail. Any help?
16. Hello folks, recently I bought myself a new laptop (Alienware 15, SO much better than my old Acer...), and it came preinstalled with Steam, all nice and dandy. But I've noticed recently that whenever I try to open Steam, the computer mulls the command for a while, and promptly forgets about opening Steam. So one evening, I had some time on my hands and decided to try and troubleshoot this odd issue - and it has me downright stumped. I first monitored Steam through the task manager, which confirmed my previous assumptions - the Steam.exe application gets running, idles for around 10-20 seconds, and vanishes from the processes tab. I try to open it as an administrator, no luck. I check on Avast t o see if it is blocking it in some way, set up some exclusions, and nothing. Try to restart the computer to see if that helps - nope. So at this point, I decide to reinstall it, which is where my journey goes very sour. I uninstall it - even though half of the files are still there, including the Steam.exe! - and try to reinstall. The installation wizard thinks for a second and says 'Close Steam to continue installation'. Weird . so I look in the task manager, processes tab says nothing, but in the details tab a little ways over, lo and behold, there is the Steam.exe and some SteamWebHelper program happily chugging along. So I try to end the process - "Access is denied" - WHAT! . Now I am truly confused because there is no discernible way to shut down Steam, because it isn't open at a glance, but it is ticking over under the hood. So I'm left with a half cobbled Steam, with no way to shut it down or repair it, and I can't use it or any games on it at all (Thank GOD I don't use KSP on Steam, could you imagine!) Having scratched my head for a little while, I decided to call for help from some of the smartest people I know - you guys. Any thoughts?] P.S. Sorry for the wall of text, I wanted to explain my situation though thoroughly in case it helped in any way
17. I also love the idea of having biomes within space, rather than just on planets. On the subject of it's feasibility, it should be able to be done. In the Kerbal galaxy mod, there is a defined area somewhere around Jool that will act as a portal to one of the other solar systems - this probably could be adapted in some way to manifest biomes in deep space somehow
18. I just want to ask - when you say the 'Dawn' jet engine, don't you mean the 'Juno'? The Dawn is the ion engine.
19. Hello, I'm trying to find a mod that was in a Modding Monday posted by Squad, but I can't find it for the life of me. I remember that it allowed engines to burn during time warp, allowing Ion engine burns to be much shorter. Can anyone remember what and where this mod is? Thanks in advance.
20. The TWR of the ion stage is, by my calculations, approximately 0.13.
21. Hello, so recently with 1.0.5 released, I've tried to make an Eve lander that can return to Kerbin - quite an undertaking!. So far I've managed to rustle up this: http://imgur.com/HJ7mmia (Imgur embedding hates me:() The bottom two stages with the 3 Vectors and Aerospike fetch 6.25km/s of Dv, which I know is not enough to get an orbit, but my third ion stage gets over 9km/s - would it be feasible to boost my Ap up using the first two stages, and then circularise with the ions? And if not, how could I tweak my design to squeeze more Dv out? Thanks in advance.
22. Hello, I am currently doing an astronomy course - for our coursework, we need to perform an aided and unaided observation. For the aided observation, I plan to get photos of the ISS passing over the surface of the Moon, to be able to calculate orbital speed, altitude and the like. Does anyone have a good source that tells you when the ISS and Moon intercept? Thanks in advance
23. So, I was creating a battle between two fighters, and when I brought the winner in for a landing, it blew up in a huge fireball, killing the pilot (The plane was a little damaged, but really? ). However, when I went back to the capsule of the other fighter - it had survived, how ironic - this is what I saw: http://imgur.com/a/nVM0o I can see this is a bug, but why does this happen?
24. Hello, I have recently been trying to create a Mk3 Bomber, but it just does not want to fly. The CoM and CoL are in the right places, there should be enough lift (1 lift rating per 10 tons?) and 4 whiplashes should proved plenty of thrust. But it doesn't want to pull up until the end of the runway, and when it does it immediately spins out and promptly rips itself apart. Here are some pictures: http://imgur.com/a/VrMDi Any help? Thanks in advance.
