  1. I seem to have an issue after updating to 1.2.11. The parts all appear in the selector, however, they do not function at all, as no OSE - specific buttons show up in the right click menus for the workshop parts. Looking in KSP.log shows the following lines: Which seems to show that the PartModules arent loading, for some reason. Mods Used: ClickThroughBlocker 0.1.7.2 ToolbarControl 0.1.8.2 B9PartSwitch 2.10.0 CommunityResourcePack 1.2.0.0 Firespitter 7.13.0 KIS 1.22 Workshop 1.2.11.0 I think these are the bare minimum for OSE workshop to work. Am i missing any? Downgrading to 1.2.10.0 does not have this issue and works ok. EDIT: log file is here: https://gofile.io/?c=2D7sHt
  2. I am having an issue when docking a rover in a cargo bay. There is a docking port on the base of the rover and on the floor of the bay. When the docking ports connect, all 4 tracks on the rover break and report that they are 'overstressed'. The docking force is set to the minimum level on both ports. I am using the KF Medium Tracks.
  3. Sounds great! When LMP is availiable, will i have to install it on the server again from scratch or will the DMP - updater work?
  4. Sorry to necro this thread, but does anyone know what type of plastic is used in estes rocket nose cones? I can't seem to find any information on the material used.
  5. Sqrt(-1) m/s
  6. I have a fair few hobbies. Mine are: programming, archery, model rocketry, model trains, lego, RC aircraft/boats, airfix, 3D design/modelling, electronics, sleeping, eating, gaming, scouting, ham radio. To name just a few
  7. Pretty cool I wonder if he can play minecraft inside of minecraft
  8. Does this mean that existing posts that violate this rule will be removed/edited/moderated?
  9. IIRC, everything apart from the camera in the Asteroid Day mod will be stock in 1.1.
  10. Thanks everyone for the suggestions, I will definitely take a look at them.
  11. Sorry if I was not clear enough. I have used OpenRocket for simple designs in the past. I do not actually have rocksim or SpaceCAD, but am considering purchasing one if they provide significant advantages over OpenRocket, such as accuracy and simulation of multiple stage rockets. I was asking what people recommended out of the 3 and whether there is any good design/simulation software that I do not know about.
  12. Thanks, I already use Creo 3.0 for CAD work, so i will see about using it for model rocket design.
  13. Hello, as a project, I am designing a model rocket. Can anyone recommend a good piece of software (can be paid), for me to use to design it? I have already tried OpenRocket and have looked at rocksim and SpaceCAD. I would put this in the model rocket thread, but the search feature isn't working for me. EDIT: more info I have used OpenRocket for simple designs in the past. 14. For this, i recommend this video by the great Scott Manley.
  15. Your calculation for TWR (Thrust to Weight Ratio) looks alright to me. Not sure about the mass discrepancy, but your problem isn't TWR, as it is greater than 1, which means that your craft is capable of taking off. Your problem is Delta V and your launch profile. Delta V is the total velocity change that your craft is capable of. You can use the Rocket Equation to determine this. Alternatively, a mod such as Kerbal Engineer Redux (KER) will calculate this for you. This should be at least 3500 to 4000 m/s to get into Low Kerbin Orbit, depending on the launch profile. As for your launch profile, see here for a proper launch profile. Also, i would advise using liquid fuel engines, as these have throttling capability and the ability to be shut off, unlike Solid Fuel Boosters. They are also much more efficient. Also, use decouplers to stage the craft, to discard empty stages. More design tips can be found here. Hope this helps.
  16. Just a note, if anyone has issues attaching missiles to the Jernas turret, then enable 'non strict part attachment' in the Alt-F12 menu, this worked for me.
  17. Not sure if it has been asked before, but what do the dots mean that are above a user's avatar?
  18. Not to forget the mass of the rest of the tower on the weakened beams...
  19. started laughing maniacally
