  1. Yes you are on the right track !!! Iirc, i think i tried to do the direct cheating from kerbin to eve and back and that didn't ended the misson.... But to be tested, maybe that could work for you Really annoying bug...
  2. Yes sometimes ALT+F12 is used by another program on the computer (Nvidia for example)... In this case you have to change the binding key in the Settings-Inputs menu of KSP2 (section GLOBAL, ToggleCheat Menu). Hope this help
  3. I made @ralanboyle Challenge... That was fun to play without reaction wheels xD
  4. Hi @ralanboyle and All Here is my entry for this challenge... 2.44 Tons with Jebediah onboard. I already played 858 hours on KSP2.... and a lot more on KSP xD (ok ok i'm a big fan of this game..... lol) That was fun to play without reaction wheels xD
  5. I had the same problem, and for me, warping in the early mornig was the solution, but on another mission, the morning was not ok... so i think warping for beeing on the other side of the planet should be good Something seems to be interacting on the ground, maybe Jool Gravity ?
  6. If you have a saved game while back in Eve Orbit, you can use the cheat menu (alt F12) to teleport your ship with the ten Kerbals on the rover chairs on the surface of Kerbin just to see if the mission is 'complete'
  7. Thank You That was a long time ago lol, I made some tries on KSP2 for a SSTO from Olympus Mons on Eve, but from 3000m, that's really hard... not found a solution for now... but i will try with darts on first part ascent xD Your challenge is excellent !!! I only play KSP2 now, but maybe i will try
  8. Not only cargo bays don't help, but actually they induce a lot of drag !!! I wanted to do science on Eve, i ended with all science parts on a decoupler to let them on Eve after doing the science and getting the datas in the command pod Tried also fairings, but no help for me too... Using just good aerodynamic parts are enough, and lighter is better For landing legs if the lander tends to tip over , i have "home made" landing legs with xs truss and small heatshields at the bottom, really strong and no problems
  9. Thankyou @steveman0 This is only the version to test to go orbit, i use only Parachutes, you must keep all the fuel for the ascent I use landing legs that can be decoupled yes, same for the heatshields, they are decoupled before landing to save weight for the parachutes ! I also use heatshieds at the top of the lander to be autostable on reentry, and i have also twisted a little the upper shields to do an autorotation to keep parts not too much hot ^^
  10. Awesome Design !!! Good idea to use exactly 10 seats with 4 parts, lighter than my 11 seats two parts Really optimized Lander.... Congrats
  11. Hmmmm... yes, Tourist Class for Kerbals is better !!! I just tried a new 151.58 t version, with Hydrogen tank Full, 30 degrees prograde at 20km and... 400m/s left with this big boy full of Kebals, SWERV is awesome and Vectors boosters definately good in aerodynamics
  12. You mean you have a 154t Eve 10k launcher without grumble seats ? WOW i hope you will post a picture of your lander Here is another tip i use for my eve Launchers: I use two small fins with some angle to separate last boosters without colliding the core stage... lighter and more efficient on Eve than sepratrons
  13. Excellent thread Here is the last version of my Eve 10K Lander: 144.85 Tons with 8 Vectors aspargus and a SWERV, Ok From Eve Sea Level with about 300m/s left in 100x100km Orbit Ascent is vertical until SWERV stage at about 20km, then aim 40 degrees inclination, and prograde until AP 100km. (Edit: Hydrogen tank set to 5.6 t of fuel)
  14. I think the ground is muddy, so when it is not frozen, we are stuck and the landing gears explode when landing or taking off !!!
  15. @Goddchen, I found after a lot of tries that this is not the Kraken... To be safe on Laythe, do everything in the Laythe Morning when the temperature is cold !!!
  16. Thank you @herbal space program As you can see later in this topic, I made a new version of this Lander, with... Vectors lol ! And yes, this is a better choice
  17. Hi @Destinesta, yes there is a bug in this mission, sometimes you do not get the credits, happened to me too If you saved your game while back in orbit around Eve, you can try to reload from that file and go back to Kerbin, or you can use the cheat menu to teleport your ship from Eve Orbit to Kerbin surface to end the mission with rewards
  18. Hi @ralanboyle, I found that if you land, drive or EVA at the end of the night or early in the morning, the ground is safe, like if the temperature is taken in account on Laythe... Hope this help
  19. I made a new version of my "Tourist Class" Rocket for 10 Kerbals to Eve and Back... Lighter, Less Parts, and more easy to Handle Tested and aproved by Valentina ! Here is the link to the new craft file: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1pAcMkbdGsFbrbVMikT9RM8rRADO6xutk/view?usp=sharing
  20. Today (and some days ago.....) I made a Rocket to send 10 Kerbals to Eve and Back in Tourist Class ! There is a link to download the ship in the Mission Report if you want the file Fly Safe with Valentina !
  21. After my first Mission Report of "Under Pressure", @magnemoe wrote: "Impressive, but was they in tourist class the entire trip? " Hmmmm... Ok... So i made a new rocket, with Tiers 3 parts, more Science, a lot more snacks, and NO External Command Seats !!! Here is a link to the craft: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1uIycnV0rOxp-QVzxG6QfsLnFKqy50ful/view?usp=sharing And the MK2 Version, Lighter, Less Parts and more easy to handle: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1pAcMkbdGsFbrbVMikT9RM8rRADO6xutk/view?usp=sharing And Some Pictures of The Mission Fly Safe with Valentina !!!
  22. Hi @CFTeague2 and Thank you The Upper heat shields can be attached to Radials Decouplers (TT-38K) using xs long struss (ST-XS-4) or Tubes (TOOB-000) for better temperature resist but harder to use in VAB. In the first version of my ship i used small panels (SP-S06), but that was not as good as the other ones (too much parts, weight and can overheat) Hope this help
