  1. the sounding rocket contracts should say that they work on all unmanned.
  2. Science on the pad has Nan and the dialogue box is messed up. you could just disable science before launch. edit- i tested it when I landed in the water and it did the same, works fine in the air though.
  3. on the first page there is a shortcut starting parameter that makes the game fullscreen without it being "fullscreen". You can alt tab during startup aswell.
  4. it seems that procedural parts are sometimes randomly stopping being able to be tweaked.

To add to the conversation on DRE and ascent profiles I have found that I have to slowly gravity turn so that i hit 30 or so kms in altitude right at 45 degrees or I burn up.I am still not 100% sure on what to do next. Do I work my way towards 0 degrees as fast as I can yet stay within 5 degrees of prograde? I'm not sure as when I do that my apo seems to be really high and I do not have enough fuel to raise the periapsis above 0 yet alone circularize.
  6. Trying my hand at rebiulding fasa .crafts and suddenly the game stops responding to camera controls. Both in the editor and in the space center. It hapened once when I was trying career too. any ideas?

  8. I personally tested a career where I utilized the mercury capsule exclusively and I probably performed dozens of re-entries and it worked everytime. I did not get farther though because I was really trying to stick to the fast parts as much as I could and the performance didn't match up/ I didn't have all the needed parts for the specific rockets. Speaking of Fasa, I am willing to remake every .craft file for RO but i would like someone to check for errors.
  9. I think ou should not mark fasa as compatibe because I have tried using it a dozen or so times and it still has big issuess. Most of the fasa .crafts lload with onl their capsules and the ones that actually load the full rocket are clipped and varius parts are larger/smaller diameter.

  12. Im not a grammer-.... I just quickly glanced at it today because I was not sure of the correct syntax and I saw that. I remember you Talking about it so I personally knew but someone that did not know and was just quickly glancing or copy/pasting like I waswould grab the old one. Wow, I am a moron, I didn't even fully read it. I just assumed it was like the old one and when I saw "replace" I just copied it without even reading it. To top it off I came here and said it had a typo still not having read it.

  15. I have played through about 5 nodes a few times and ultimately what I have taken from it besides there not being quite enough contracts is that there is not a big incentive to use probes over manned missions. Im not sure how to do this or even if the tech tree is even the way to do it.
  16. I was aso having trouble with ckan and RO. Felger reminded me that when ckan installs FAR it also installs the ih the included ships and tends to not delete the new foder when it is removed ("oldsph")Since it cannot overwrite anything when it goes to reinstall far it just stops. I have found that ckan expects a fresh install and its is absolutely crucial that you have a 100% fresh install (you cant get lazy and just manually replace gamedata and ships/saves folder ) One thing that fixed alot of ckan problems for me was to actually delete the registry entry with the default ksp directory (search for "ckan"" in regedit) and look for something with a path to ksp) and then retry with a fresh install too. After doing all of that It has worked perfectly every time.
  17. The only way to control the sounding rocket with remote tech is with the reflector antenna. It has to be inside a fairing because it will burn off otherwise. If there was a round or dome shape that might work better. I had to rig up the entire upper stage inside a fairing to get enough room to stick it on the side.
  18. What you could do is go manualy delete that specific part and try again but I'll stop you there. It is explicity written here and on several of the dependent mods that it does not work in x64.
  19. I see were you added te remote tech config file for rss to ckan. Shouldn't that be a dependancy?
  20. Probably been asked before but how can you see if an engine is pressure fed or not? I do not have the text on mouseover.

I Use Fasa_Sandbox save because I think that is what its for but when I go to load any of the pre-made craft in the vab they are invisible. a few training/scenarios that functioned correctly would be nice. Id make some my self but I don't know how and If I did, it would take forever for me to feel like it was refined enough to release them. On the same subject, I was thinking that a training scenario would be a much better introductory guide then a written one because you could assure the exact craft for each person. The only non-stock training scenarios I have seen rare the ones made by blizzy for stock ksp.
  22. Oh, I had this issue in testing. FAR installs some example planes to the 'ships' folder, and CKAN refuses to overwrite pre-existing files no matter how nicely you ask, or how much you threaten to beat it with a stick. Try deleting the ships in /KSP/ships/SPH and see if that fixes it. You can check against the FAR download zipped folders (They'll be in the KSP/CKAN directory).
  23. When i try to use ckan to install half of the time it stops responding at "installing Ferram Aerospace Research" and does not isnstall any mods.Although sometimes it has worked and I dont know why.
  24. I just tried again today and it worked fine. I dont know what happened. one thing Ive noticed is that when I launch the game from the button within ckan it stalls at the "moho" part of RSS startup.
  25. I tried again today and now with the latest lorenz attractor release it crashes with ckan.Not.ksp.dir.kraken or something I'm not sure on the exact syntax because it was on a different computer. I then try several earlier releases and it just flashes a terminal screen and then does nothing. What did I do?
