  1. Had the same issue. I have a triple monitor setup with one main full-hd as the primary display connected via hdmi and two side monitors running 1280x1024 connected via DVI. My primary monitor only has HDMI so I'm not able to try using a DVI cable.

I went to the nvidia control panel and just changed my primary display to be one of the smaller ones instead of the one connected via HDMI. This instantly fixed the problem and I can run any resolution in KSP. Hope this helps

You can still use your main screen with the HDMI cable, just don't run it on higher than 1680x1050.

Another solution is changing the 1080p to 1080i. That worked for me, but my screen isn't built for that I think so it strained my eyes because it was fluttering too much.

  2. I've noticed that the stock sas appears to be much more aggressive in 1.0.x. My lighter ships tend to wobble(some even go to the point of basically a vibration) a lot when I'm maneuvering. Try disabling the gimble on the the engine and see if that helps. This is one of the reason's I have mechjeb installed right now as well, its sas control is pretty solid.

Engines arn't even being used. Only Stability Assist is active. Activating the RCS system aswell makes it even worse. There's no problem when I remove the RemoteTech folder.

Having it point towards a marker though (Prograde, Retrograde, Radial, etc ...) makes everything stable. It's just when I select the Stability Assist that it goes haywire.

It's like a joker down at the spacecenter is sending it commands. :sticktongue:

  3. This mod rocks. I am a "Steam" user. "They" auto updated my game and now this mod is outdated. I don't like to grovel. But, PPPPLLLLLEEEEEEAAAAAASSSSSSSEEEEEE!!!!!!!! get this up to speed. Thank You!:)

[MOD - Removed overly long quote - sumghai]

Copy your Kerbal Space Program into another folder on the same (or different) drive and mod that one instead. That's what I do.

I already have modded versions of KSP 0.24.2 , KSP 0.25 , KSP 0.90 , and now KSP 1.0.2 in different folders.

Aswell as an unmoded version of all as backup.

Another option is to rightclick the game launcher in the Steam program -> Properties ->Updates tab, and choose not to auto-update it.

  4. I have a question.

I'm noticing some difficulties with the stock SAS in conjunction with RT. My satellites and probe controlled spacecrafts have become more unstable the further they are away from Kerbin, wobbling around it's own axis. It completely spins out of control when far far away from Kerbin, like Eve for instance.

I haven't really been outside Minmus before, but I very much noticed it has become increasingly harder to dock ships to eachother around Minmus where one of them is probecontrolled, largely due to the probecontrolled ship simply won't stay stable.

After alot of testing I did discover one thing:

I've never used the Flightcontrol feature that comes with RT, but using it I was able to stabilize any craft that was connected to KSC.

    Did something change in RT?

Or did KSP change which is why I notice this alot easier than in .90? :)

  5. Time to stop posting silhouette pictures and unveil the super duper secret squirrel SSTO that barely makes it into orbit with enough fuel to de-orbit (1.0 Aero). The best part is, it's balanced in such a way that you can change it by putting something between the cockpit and docking port depending on the mission. Crew cabin, another small cargo bay. There's space underneath for a decoupler + Droptank for more fuel for long atmospheric only flights

72 Parts, The Advanced Canard has had Tweak Scale applied to make it larger (But doesn't use Yaw/Roll/Pitch) and 2 Infernal Robotics hinges so that the wings sweep, other than that it's all stock

    Looks awesome, man! :)

Sure you can't cram a few more experiments in there? :sticktongue:

  6. That sucks because my monitor only has HDMI.

Alright, so I mucked around abit with the different cables again and looked in the Nvidia Controlpanel, and it seems that OpenGL does not like the 1080p setting. Switching it to 1080i did make the game fire up with OpenGL, but I could only get a max refreshfrequency of 30Hz when going interlaced, so it strained my eyes alittle. Particularly looking at the desktop it was very noticable.

Unfortunately, my knowledge about these things stops right around here I'm afraid. If anyone else has any suggestions for this, fire away. :)

  7. New Update:

    http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/103129-Couldn-t-switch-to-requested-monitor-resolution/page3

Alright, so I tried the suggested solution in the link above here, and for me this finally fixed my problem launching the game on a higher resolution than 1680x1050 (running at 1920x1080 normally).

OpenGL is definately running, KSP with alot of mods installed runs at an initial load of 1.5Gb.

Point to note: You have to use a DVI/DVI cable. Plugging a DVI end into the GPU and the HDMI end of the DVI/HDMI cable into the monitor does not work (atleast it didn't for me).

And the other way around didn't register the monitor at all. :sticktongue:

So for me, this has solved the problem .... for now.

Hope this works for eveyone else aswell.

  9. While Laythe-return SSTO flights appears to be out of range in 1.0.2 (except perhaps for ion or ISRU based SSTOs), getting an SSTO to Duna and back is possible with good margins.

This craft has about 5.3 km/s delta V available from LKO, carrying a fair bit of unnecessary oxidizer.

    http://imgur.com/a/ql1aG

I wasted large amounts of fuel during the trip, and still had 1.5k delta V to brake with when returning to Kerbin.

Unfortunately, the plane turned out to be completely unmanageable on empty tanks, which resulted in a very Kerbal landing back at Kerbin. Back to the drawing board, I guess..

Alternately, you could download TAC Fuel Balancer, which will automatically balance your fueltanks for you.

    Just a suggestion.

Like your design by the way. :)

  10. Uhm, which antenna are you referring to?

The big parabolic one in the back there or?

If so, then I don't think so. Not with the wrench. You need a drill for that I think ..... or maybe you can. It's not really a large componment once it's retracted.

If you are to try, make sure you have a drill available, just in case.

  11. My latest attempt to see when this happens has revealed the game won't start up if the graphics are set to 1768x992 or higher.

    Atleast for me.

Max resolution seems to be 1680x1050.

I also have v350.12 installed, Castun.

I did get the game to fire up in 1920x1080 w/Opengl after a clean install thru Steam, but now it's back to the same again. Not even able to get it to work with a new clean install.

  12. Hahaha brilliant mod! :D

Just finished the first upgrade of one of three satellites that needed extra juice to operate on the dark side.

I changed my mind and wanted to put them in a higher orbit, but forgot to calculate the extra dark time that would result from such an orbit.

I didn't want to just scrap the satellites, so, KIS to the rescue!!!

Put together a maintanance vessel and attached a few containers to the side, launched it and got it out to the first of 3 ... and after abit of fiddling around with how KIS works, I finally upgraded it with 4 extra battery packs and 4 extra solarpanels (just in case).

Works beautifully, but I did learn that having some railings to hold on to would help. So next time I go up to either repair or build something in space, then some handles or ladders are gonna be brought along aswell.

  13. went into what "settings" are you referring to? I can't get it to start with OpenGL at all, same issue - I'm using -force-opengl -popupwindow (as I have since 0.90).

I believe he's referring to the "Settings.cfg" file in your KSP folder.

    Tried this,did not work.

I've also tried checking the registry, someone else noticed the screen resolution was zero for some reason there. Mine was fine.

Also tried restarting computer, no luck.

    Adding -popupwindow doesn't help.

Tried different KSP 1.0.2 installs, 1 is with mods, 1 is without mods (both are copies from the Steam folder in seperate folders).

Even tried adding the -force-opengl command in the Steam preference settings, but still no go.

Have not tried re-installing KSP yet, will do that next. Nor have I changed any grafics drivers (Nvidia).

  14. I can't get the texture to load. The spherical command pod is just a blue hue, and the Sr. docking port consist of just 4 RCS thrusters ...... that constantly is expelling monopropellant, even in the VAB and SPH. :P

Any suggestions what I could be doing wrong?

All I did was move the Goodspeed folder from my 0.24.2 game over to my 0.90 game. I also downloaded and applied Kolago's recompile file.
