  1. Found the South Pole and a funny glitch...
  2. Inspired by the X-31, the Vector is here Features Highly controllable supermaneuverability combined with thrust vectoring. Seriously. It is crazy. Supercruise Optional stock weapons: Accurate and compact rockets, simple cluster bombs Action groups: 1 - Afterburner 2 - Airbrake (make sure that the inner flaps deploy downwars and the outer ones upwards before flying) DOWNLOAD
  3. Based on the Saab AJS-37 Viggen with some freedom, here is the Vigger Main features: Afterburning turbojet with thurst reverser Supercruise (Needs afterburner to get past 400m/s, but after that you can fly dry and still gain speed in a level flight around 6000m) Canard delta configuration with flaps Tandem main wheels for strength and authenticity Good maneuverability Action groups: 1 - Afterburner 2 - Turst reverser 3 - Flaps (Make sure they are deploying downwards before flying as seen on the screenshot. They also act as airbrakes.) DOWNLOAD
  4. This image explains everything: I noticed this months ago, that every build I made looks just weid because I have to place the wings too much in the front to make it flyable and after some investigation, it turned out that I was right... The centre of mass is not calculated correctly. It should be somewhere around where I marked it. I use only stock parts and clearly the back should be heavier. Parts: Turbojet, precooler /w 40 fuel, structural fuselage, mk1 inline cockpit
  5. At least the medium landing gear should be steerable, since it looks like the front wheel of a passanger jet and I usually use it as so.
  6. Hello! Sorry if some or all of these are already reported. Here I go: When building in SPH sometimes parts automatically start using radial symmetry instead of mirroring. Even pressing after pressing R and changing to mirroring it returns to radial symmetry as soon as i touch the part that started acting weirdo. Increasing physics time acceleration causes extra stress on crafts. Using level 4 acceleration causes crafts to disintegrate almost every time. When flying in atmosphere there is a recurring glitching in a certain interval (something between 10 sec and 1 min). During this you can see a smoke trail flying away from your plane froward, and if you were using SAS the aircraft shakes once and changes course a bit. SAS overreacts. With large crafts this results in self induced oscillation. When using the advanced SAS option like point to retrograde and the others the SAS uses way too much force to point into the right direction, so it always overshoots. It can't even hold vectors cause it starts to oscillate around them. Additionally, when the desired vector is "far" on the nav ball, the SAS doesn't turn directly to the vector, but first in some weird direction, then starts to move to the vector like it didn't know where to turn at the beginning. When a craft has a center of lift very close to the center of mass, it can make almost instant 180 degree turns even above 400m/s without stalling or damaging itself. Medium and Large landing gears are not steerable (ok, this is not a real bug, but c'mon....) The BIG-S wing strake explodes from even small reentry heat. Actually all the new space shuttle parts are more vulnerable to heat than the older wing parts. The small solar panels (1x6, 2x3)can't be retracted. This was working before 1.0. If this was intentional, then sorry.
  7. Try the following: 1 shock cone on the nose 1 cockpit 1 lf tank behind cockpit 1 turbofan behind lf tank Add type D wings as tail and wings an the Little square steering surface Add gears, and take off. The thing just burns up itself.. From start till the end of runway, I usually reach 400-500 sometimes even 800 m/s. If I go straight up in a 90 degree climb, I can reach a 160km peak altitude in the zoom.
  8. Although I am happy about the improvements in aerodynamics, I think there is much to be done... (obviously this shouldn't be flying) : The positive side is that this wasn't possible with using wings only for the "box"
  9. Here is almost the simpliest SSTO you can have: 1Cockpit, 1 air intake in front, 2 LFO, 1 precooler (just for fun, can drop), 1 RAPIER. Add some small wings and gears and that's all. Pretty stupid how easily this gets to orbit... Oh yes, and how I got there: Take off, ~45 degree climb till the rapier switches mode, 0degree horizontal acceleration till orbit is high enough. Circularize and fin. On this picture I have 160k-180k orbit.
  10. Also, there is no option for "unlock steering", so for nose gear only the small one is suitable if you want to turn
  11. I have a few problems with the new aerodynamics. Sorry if I post in the wrong thread, but they are pretty big issues: -Small aircrafts are waay too maneuverable when CoM and CoL is close. I can pull 15+Gs at 300+m/s. And I can do 180turn in a 50 meters radius.. -Both jet engines are ridiculously powerful. With a small simple aircraft I could reach 800+ m/s before the end of the runway... -Time warp in atmosphere disintegrates many aircrafts. As I already mentioned a few months ago, time warping actually makes everything go faster, instead of the time itself accelerating, so aerodynamic stress is greatly increased when warping... So is it possible that these will be fixed or are these working as intended?
  12. Hi! Sorry if I repost something, but here are some issues I observed: -Small aircrafts are waay too maneuverable when CoM and CoL is close. I can pull 15+Gs at 300+m/s. 13. Hi there! I can't get my game to update itself I just start it as usually but it just says "Checking for Updates" and nothing happens. There wasn't any issues before. Is there anything particular in this version I should be aware of (regarding the update procedure)?
