Starhawk replied to Andrew Jolly's topic in Welcome Aboard
Hello and welcome to the KSP Forum! Finding the mods you want will probably take a bit of exploration. There are any number of mods that alter science and economics in the game. It may take a bit of reading various threads to find the mods that will give you the play experience you want. Glad to have you aboard! Happy landings! -

Interesting! I haven't tried a MJ docking in years. I always found MJ hugely wasteful of monoprop. Perhaps that's changed in newer versions. Happy landings!

The moderation team has seen countless well-meaning forum threads devolve into complete disaster when the subject of using an autopilot becomes the focus. Please do not allow your devotion to your opinion to affect the civility and respectful discourse which are the hallmarks of this forum. Thank you for your understanding, Forum Moderation Team

Some content has been removed from this thread. Political discussion on the forum almost always leads to unpleasantness. Not to mention anger, flamewars, and thread locks. That is why we don't allow political content on the forum. Thank you for your understanding, Forum moderation team -
Yes there are restrictions imposed until a new user has five approved posts. Once you have had five posts approved you will have access to customization options for your profile. This is an anti-spam measure which is necessary to protect the forum. Happy landings!

New job posting: Senior Mission Designer
Starhawk replied to TLTay's topic in Prelaunch KSP2 Discussion
Since the thrust produced by a rocket depends on moving material away from the rocket engine the thrust will decrease when there is atmospheric pressure around the engine which resists the material moving freely from the engine bell. Atmospheric rated engines have very different bell geometry than vacuum engines for this reason. And that is why some engines have a higher ISP in atmosphere than other engines. At the surface of Eve the atmospheric pressure is high enough that only a few engines can produce sufficient thrust to lift off. Happy landings! We now return to the topic at hand, already in progress. -

Feel free to discuss your ideas and suggestions. Do not feel that any comment is justification for personal attacks of any kind. Discussing the merits of an idea is great, and is the exact purpose of the forum. Discussing another user's motives, behaviour or personality are never called for. If you feel that you can't make a post without resorting to attacking the person who posted in some way, then refrain from posting. Thank you for your understanding, KSP Moderation Team -
