  1. Try attach the wheels to the fuselage. Is known to me the Mk3 cockpit doesn't have a solid flat surface to place wheels on especially when is not 100% midpoint. I suggest place the front wheels like on the rear fuselage.
  2. The game is originally meant for education purpose i think, from that i understand why parts can be overpower and Kerbal world is smaller etc. Alternatively there are balancing mods to make things little more realistic interesting.
  3. Haven't played KSP for a while, last worked on was KSC destroyers. I needed a vehicle that can deploys multiple heavy class missiles. Sadly no animation for the deployment arms it would've looked awesome. Destroyer and the missiles are fully functional but the legs wobbles, either drive it slow or struts alot... i haven't make up my mind
  4. Courtesy of yesterday's research got myself a mobile kerbal launcher, official addition to my KSC ground unit. Exploit with the Unity physic it does 2 modes, horizontal and vertical launch depend where the kerbal stand. But amazing performance able to shoot a kerbal to the ocean from runway spawn made me giggle alot. I want to make a video of it, it is hilarious but don't exactly have an editing program and time to do it. Siege mode deployed
  5. Seriously? You jetpack kerbal with 'main sails'? lol Anyway, . Sorry flooded this thread abit. In the end of day looks like i created a catapult then a true working hover station.
  6. Hover Station need an overhaul, new and precision aim design since not all kerbals want to float. They only do when stand exact point on the thruster.
  7. It is inevitable Jeb will always be the next test subject of anything.. EDIT: Okay that is just awe, catapulted Jeb with max thrust threw him to 340-ish altitude and drop landed. Didn't think he would survive that height.
  8. I think what you need a mini monoprop VTOL craft for distant travel, if by driving on wheels that 10kM will still take you forever to get to.
  9. Finalized couple spaceplanes and went to VAB for some fun, discovered rocket engines do have the thrust to push object in this game, and went for hover experiment.
  10. Depend if i'm full of ideas or have a craft require extensive testing and fixing, i would go for 6 hrs a day. Usual play time around 1 to 2 hours per day.
  11. Tried to design a semi-modular space station today. Working on the main core but didn't came out any design i like. Spent some time in VAB and got depress, went to sacrifice a kerbal for Idea God.
  12. I focus on one low gravity moon and a slight more gravity planet in sandbox for rover design and test drive, Mun and Duna.
  13. Alright tried that parameter, normal memory usage 2.2GB at KSC menu got down to just 1.2GB. But generates alot black clipping textures causing framerate drop.
  14. Combine with -forcedx11 didn't seem to reduce memory usage for me. Game boot time feel to be slight faster but doesn't seem to help much framerate flying plane with alot parts burning through atmosphere.
  15. I just tried -no-singlethreaded with new sandbox save, orbited a plane quicksaved and F9 loaded just fine.
  16. Week ago in sandbox, VAB launchpad blew up while i was testing rocket engines low to med thrusts. Launch Stability arms and the ship were still there but launchpad became rubble. I then confirm it was a glitch because i couldn't recreate the event after a game restart.
  17. Hmm.. Let's just say i'm bad at wheel balancing.. Payload delivery was.. sort of a success..
  18. That space music is usually my orbital notification if i was looking else where. I actually like it as it feels like 'space' genre, but recently has muted music because i play my own track or stream stuffs while in SPH/VAB. But if i were to say emotion, then i maybe feel non.
  19. Made a fourth addition to my SSTDuna spaceplane collection and flew there while it's incomplete lol. Didn't expect to land fine without parachutes and with limited electric charges (alternator charge only) but surprisingly landed, it was.. bumpy. Sadly wasted some fuel to fly to that lower atmos zone and plane still filled with nasty symmetrical bugs to diagnose with but i'm lazy for the rest of the day.
  20. Didn't do much this couple days but to migrate a few my legacy crafts to 0.90. Newer addition, SSTO'd a basebody for fun that suppose to be the largest scale of X-49 NightRaven i'm working on.
  21. I used 3 parachutes for a near vertical landing for my MK2. Touch down speed around 23m/s enough for structure to sustain impact, but i added more wheels to balance and incase. Always transfer the remaining fuel to tanks that has wheels on it.
  22. Sent a rover to LKO for fun! .. actual intention was SSTDuna with 'jetpack' style, but that's not happening. :/
  23. On the boot screen KSP seem to have dozen of small file pieces, is your antivirus scanning the files one by one?
  24. Went to retry what i had failed last time.
  25. For preference i prefer 2 Turbojets per 10t for a decent ascend TWR. 16 Turbojets for 126t, i could feel the heaviness..
