  1. No, they are actually Indian missions Mangalyaan 1 and Chandrayaan 1.

Ah. I thought of MRO and LRO because they looked similar and were orbiting the correct planets to be those spacecraft.

Bristol Boxkite shenanigans continue, this time with a pair of tweakscaled basic jet engines.

    Work, dammit!!!!

  2. Nice! For a faster car, use the black wheels and make it as light as possible.
Another option is to add Jet-Power to the car. Personally, I'd use Tweakscale to place a tiny fuel tank and thurster somewhere on it.

I'll try these. I may make a bigger biplane that can tow the Boxkite into the air, and release that as a craft, but I really want to construct a fully functional yet stock Bristol Boxkite. I've tried ion engines, and the amount of ASL thrust they produce is laughable. I'll try out monoprop engines or possibly ant engines, but then the maximum flight time is only about 1 minute.

  3. Since KSP doesn't seem to have a suitable engine for my Bristol Boxkite, I decided to do flight tests with a tow glider variant.

This didn't work. I need a car or truck that can reach high enough speeds to pull this thing off the ground. Right now, I'm using AMRSD's Willys jeep, but it can only manage 18 m/s with the Boxkite attached. I need some help here. :P

  4. But since when do propeller engines have anything to do with spaceflight?

Well, I would sooner see a smaller jet engine in the game than propellers. With a choice of two engines (three if you count the rapier, but that's irrelevant in my case) for aircraft as opposed to a choice of at least a dozen different engines of all forms and fashions for rockets, it makes it really hard to build small planes.

  5. I want a download....I have no life either

Hmm, later than I thought. I expected the first person to comment to ask for it. Okay, I'll post one as soon as I can tear myself away from Empire: Total War.

EDIT: Sorry, man, I can't upload a DL, KerbalX isn't playing nice right now. I'll try again tomorrow, but it won't be until at least 6:30pm, (US Central Time Zone) because I have lots of irl stuff to do. (The gods of marching band demand a sacrifice)

  6. Someone told me to make cookies. I made them.

What am I doing with my life...

Anyway, I made a mixer and bowl too. The mixer doesn't spin or anything, it just looks good.

I ran out of chocolate chips, so seismometers had to be used as a substitue. Don't worry, all the big fast food chains already use worse stuff than scientific instruments! For baking, I added an aerospace grade "Fast Cook Turbo Oven" mounted above the pan. No, it's not a rocket engine, it's only derived from one! There's also a spatula next to the pan, and some hand grips so you don't burn yourself when you decide to be an idiot and move the pan.

I should probably be doing something more productive with my Sunday afternoon, but instead I'm here, building freakin' cookies in KSP.:P Someone help me, I'm a danger to myself...

I'm not going to post a DL unless someone asks for it, because I can find no reason for anyone to want to download this other than to spite me for not thinking anyone would download this.

EDIT: Someone asked for a download: http://kerbalx.com/pTrevTrevs/Kerbal-Cookie-Program

Watch this thread get like a hundred pages worth of replies.

  7. How have I not heard of this place before now?!?

Can you fix up these pictures of my Typhoon class submarine? If possible, I'd like the pictures to look like they were taken during a snowstorm, with overcast/foggy skies, and maybe add a thick smoke trail and some engine light on the one with the missile launch.

I can't wait to see these when they're done... :D

  8. Looking nice! Delta II is one of my favorite modern rockets, in part due to the fact that it launched the Mars Exploration Rovers, which are single-handedly responsible for making me the space nerd I am today.:D Kepler itself is pretty good too, interesting use of the Round-8 tanks.

Did this craft's creation have anything to do with the fact that Kepler just discovered one of the most earth-like exoplanets a few days ago?

  9. if you're not opposed to using action groups, you can mimic airbrakes with control surfaces (be sure to invert the deploy on one of the pair). Setting up pairs of them in place of airbrakes can work but will only trigger via AG and not via normal yaw actuation.

It seems like you would have to attach the control surfaces for each wing independently, so the action group only chooses them one at a time instead of both. Is this correct?
