  1. Unfortunately it doesn't work like that.. Multi-threading isn't related to 'cores' its related to 'threads', yes they are different. For example the Pentium K (Pentium G3258 Anniversary edition) has 2 cores and 2 threads (so 2 virtual cores) while the i3 4330 has 2 cores and 4 threads (4 virtual cores). Same with the i5 4690k and i7 4970k they have 4 cores, 4 threads and 4 cores 8 threads respectively. Performance wise this won't DOUBLE your output (framerate), it would improve it, yes but by no where near 100%. Im pretty sure KSP does run on multiple cores (which is what you're asking) but if it is single threaded, cores speed is your ally. (the higher your clock the better. Alot of physics based games (like FSX ect) are helped by multiple threads but core speed is still the most important factor.. Hope this helps.
  2. My heart breaks a little everytime Jeb dies, I don't know how i can put myself through it so often.. Just don't want him to go..
  3. I stumbled upon it by accident really. I was on a forum I regularly visit (computers/games, same site as Seanoog..) and accidently clicked on the KSP kick starter thread.. Took a look... Completely uninterested. Sometime later I came across it on a steam sale, watched a few videos... Fell in love with it and bought it..
  4. Thanks for that. I'm not sure that I did fire/kill anyone though, I wasn't actually that far into the career. I'll try that fix and start a new one anyway, Thanks for your help.
  5. Hi there, Im currently a little stuck.. Everytime i go into some of the buildings, i cannot come back out again (of that screen), the close button doesn't work. I also cannot get into the VAB atall.. This is on my career mode save, i have not tried a new career mode as i wish to save my current one.. Any ideas? Anyone else had this issue? I have tried re-started the game/my laptop a few times since.. Anything else i can do? Or is this just time to start the career again? Thanks, EDIT: I tired starting a new career (just to test) and i have none of said issues with that. Another thing on my 'corrupt' save is i can't fast forward time, it just stands still. I think its time to move on..
  6. Two of my test ships are called 'Gary' and 'Graham'... I feel its nice giving them 'human' names (that is, until they burst into flames) ...
  7. Level 2 is EXACTLY where i am at the moment, only reason is i've hardly messed around with the sandbox, just focused my limited free time on career mode... Hoping to rise a few 'levels' soon as though.
  8. Hello there, Just thought i should introduce myself (to some extent) before posting 'stuff' in these Forums. KSP wise i have been playing a little while (had the game since 0.19, i think) but only really started getting into it over the past 2-3 weeks, the release of 0.90 was ideal and spurred my progress. I am not amazingly knowledgeable on the game mechanics (i can land on the Mun/minmus, but interplanetary travels yet to be tried) so my main aim will be lurking and Learning. Location wise, as its nice to know if there are locals, im based in Auckland (New Zealand) though i am a True Brit (from the UK). Im currently in NZ on a Working Holiday since September. Fun times. I look forward to getting to know some of you.. Dan.
