  1. Well ............................. hmm .............................. This is a problem.

Working on the X-33 as you know ... but running into the same problem every time for every redesign. THIS is my third redesign of the craft and I still can't get it to NOT flip out of control during reentry.

Remember, I am trying hard to make it not only look very much like the X-33, but also be usable and functional. I'm not going for super max uberduper efficient for KSP. I am making the X-33 Venture Star who's payload was small, but it would have been the first SSTO of Mankind had Lockheed not cancelled it due to funding.

Now, if I can just crack the reentry problem ...................... hmmmmm wait is ........... it's secret ............ More Pics and info here > https://www.facebook.com/Vaos-Human-1419211151684294/timeline/

Wow! looks cool!, I am no expert (really dont do SSTOs that much) But I would have to say the main problem is how your wings are on the bottom of your craft. It puts the CoL below the CoM, which can be really unstable. I am not sure how you would overcome that, but another (and less graceful) solution is just to add TONS of reaction wheels. That is usually what I do

Have you checked the COL/COM when empty in the SPH/VAB? Also try grabbing the craft and moving it in the editor to see what the lift does. It is probably due to an imbalance of lift between the front and rear. Looks like there are more wings in the rear. try clipping a wing surface in the front and play around see if it helps. Also there are a few very knowledgeable SSTO doods on here, maybe post the issue for other to see. Most people will not see it if you just post it to your feed.

      Cheers Vaos.
