[1.1.2][1-1-2] May 13-2016 EnvironmentalVisualEnhancements
deadshot462 replied to rbray89's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Keep up the amazing work, these clouds are awesome! -
Make a list of common misconceptions about space travel that have been perpetrated by movies / shows / media: -Noise in space -Having to constantly fire your engine to keep moving -Inability to perform "star wars" style flights where the ship moves around like a jet in the vicinity of another object -Traveling in a straight line to a target -No gravity in space (free fall is the reason for weightlessness, there is still gravity in space) -Anything else you can think of Make it relate to the game so that they don't think the game follows movie physics.

Live Launch: Soyuz -> ISS
deadshot462 replied to Kerbin Dallas Multipass's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Someone was in a rush to go to the ISS bathroom. -
According to Wikipedia, a TMA soyuz can support 3 people in orbit for 30 days, quite a bit of time so hopefully this mission has enough supplies for that long in the worst case scenario. Hopefully that is the case. Every soyuz supposedly has a gun aboard, bad time to get on someone's bad side up there.

Live Launch: Soyuz -> ISS
deadshot462 replied to Kerbin Dallas Multipass's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Apparently the Soyuz experienced an attitude control problem during the third RV burn attempt. No serious issues yet but right now the RV is delayed to the old 2-day profile. Live updates: http://www.spaceflight101live.com/live-soyuz-tma-12m-launch-to-docking-coverage.html "Looks like we just had our glitch for this mission." -
Thanks for bringing us home.. in the middle of the desert. Any chance you could send us a plane to bring us to KSC? Hello?
-
I hope they go for it, US could use some motivation to stay ahead of the game and visit the Moon again.
-
Considering both US and Russia invested heavily in the ISS and they both have astronauts, I don't see the station being in danger in the near future. Worst case scenario is that Russia refuses to send US astronauts to space through the Soyuz, but that could mean Russia having to take up more cost from the ISS operations so it's also unlikely. It's my hope that these current tensions open the US government's eyes into investing more/faster into the US commercial crew vehicle program.

Official picture of an asteroid and lots of good answers: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/content/265-Kerbal-Space-Program-Asteroid-Redirect-Mission-The-FAQ My guess is once 0.24 is released, someone will post a picture of a big asteroid being intentionally crashed onto KSC.

Say Hello To Team KSP at SXSW Tomorrow at Noon
deadshot462 replied to SQUAD's topic in KSP1 The Daily Kerbal
I would like to see the high def versions of the pictures shown in the panel. -
One way to show someone in a job interview how dedicated you are.

Nice smooth launch!
-
Another important factor is that school and universities are in full blown studies and midterms at this time of the year, I can see how that might cause people to play less temporarily.

This mod is incredibly awesome! I have been waiting a very long time for someone to make a mod just like this. I love the realism behind this where you can only see things in the right time of the night. It's impressive how the size of an object will affect how bright it is. My satellites barely flicker but my ISS-sized station was a very solid bright object, and it matched exactly like a real ISS looks like during a fly-over. Well done.

Coordinates for UFO on mun?
deadshot462 replied to ThePresD's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
There's another one on the Southern pole region of the Mun. I think ScanSat can pick it up. -
I've made a few attempts but I would like a stock cargo bay to make it worth building more shuttles.

For now, you can use KAS to attach new docking ports during an EVA session. Works fairly well.
