Anybody else having a Cooked Control problem wrt engine gimbals ? (RSS/Realism Overhaul mods) On KSP v105 the engine gimbals work OK. With KSP113, with the 'same' KOS program.. the gimbals don't work with any Locked steering..etc Edt: Adding to this.. how many straight assignment locks could one execute per physics tic. It's subjective due to PC speeds, but I'm trying to find min/max figures before my locks overrun the tic time - making sure I don't have too many. For example, say in the top of the file... Lock steering to heading(myCourse, myPitch). ..where myCourse, myPitch are calculated in a function similar to ... .. a TmpVar is .. assigned result of a few .. calculations Set myCourse to TmpVar. So AFAIK, in this case, there is no Lock interrupt routine code, except to assign myCourse to the KSP control system Would this be a correct assumption ?

This week end, after a few hours in a 'US bomb threat zone' from the embassy (god they like rummaging up 'we're doing this for you thingy') the wife had a packet of clothing, and I had probably the best book on Quantum Physics I've come across (in a bookstore). She's was happy.. so was I.

The Flat Earth Society was a student exercise in humor, and most likely still is. An exercise to be different, not believe and to challenge everything that you are fed via the media, and or propaganda. This is what it's all about and nothing more... if you cannot see this and get upset by these things, they've exposed you as a sheep of the world. Would it be possible sometime, in future versions, to make the terminal background transparent, or give the ability to switch the terminal graphics off completely, but leave the text. Here I'm fiddling with the terminal textures, but cannot seem to get the alpha channel nailed

Most likely the case. I read a KOS vector/variable to my own variables, then use these across time ticks as these don't change.

All sorted... I thought it couldn't be that hard. I cleaned up the texts, and made some minor changes and we're in orbit again :-) It's probably one of two things or both :- I had 2 blank functions, which I intend to fill in later, and these were included in the main routine loop. Function functionName { } I just added a local variable that does nothing Function functionName { Local i_Tmp is 0. } .. and I had a function with only an Unlock all statement which i removed, and added the local statement as above. Function functionName { Unlock all. } These two things are the 'major' changes that I've done.. and all is fine now Oh yes.. Sorry.. KOS version is v0.19.3 and KSP version is v1.05. Would KOS v0.20.x work on KSP v1.05 - as I'm not moving until at least 3-6 months of KSP v1.1 patching is done.

This is during compilation phase.. before the program runs. Everything worked fine before the current changes, and usually debugging is no problem Where would you find the KOS error message log file ?? OK.. before I post the code, and waste your time.. let me go through it once more - thanks anyway.

This is a new one for me... My code is sitting at 2300 lines at the moment - could this be too long? Or maybe I need more KOS disk space? I haven't changed my rocket in any way from a previous working version. Meticulously re-organised the code (block copies) etc... - I'll check again though. KSP1.05, RSS/RealismOverhaul, KOS19.3

Or any armed forces, as the story remains the same (I just gave my example). There would be a gov contract for the Tuition fees (we don't get things for free), which will most likely limit his choices. If he can do it independently (or a bank loan), he will still have many more choices and routes to choose from, maximising his career path, and this is what it's all about. Some people enjoy the military... but it's subject to the whims of polititians and their policies - not a very good long term choice in my eyes.

I'd only advise this if you're in an economic fiddle, if you can afford it, rather go the independent route - your choices will be more suitable. Why do I say this... been there done that. Leaving school I (family) had no $$$ joined the Air Force (ZA). They do get your blood, and you have little choice once you've signed on the dotted line. Luckily, I realised this after a few years, saw a gap = resigned, but had to re-study for 10 years to catch up. My eldest wanted to be pilot, and the family were saying AIR FORCE.. I laid down the law and said NO!... We do it privately. They were visibly and vocal about my 'short sightedness'..... 4 years later my son is on the verge on obtaining his ATPL license (22 years old), has done more that 4x hours than the military. 8+ aircraft ratings (multi-engine+) and many other ratings under his belt... You'd be lucky to see 1/4 of this with 4 years of military training. Sure we've paid 0.5 mil for the whole route, but those who joined the military are locked in for 10/15 years with millions on exit payments - go figure My advice.. although the military might look glamorous... don't get excited about it - it's a business like any company, but they screw you over 10x for your patriotism... LOL Exercise your options, and do a lot of 'research' - there is something out there for you, take your time and just keep on looking. It's your choice....

Grissom was never happy about the apollo capsules, so i think they portrayed him badly here as he was a 'whistleblower'. Grissom was the most popular/best of all the astronauts/pilots, and first choice, before Armstrong.. but he was too vocal (the Lemon) for Nasa's likings. These guys were professional military pilots... only the bravest stand up to their allies!!

Texas Instruments have a few DLP chips.. if the price can come down a bit.. it'll make the other VR sets look silly. Price is the barrier at the moment... all the cheap 3/6/9 DOF sensors are available.
