  1. The main fuselage is in fact a fuel tank, although it is not filled, all the juno sized tanks are filled to increase the longevity of flight, as well as lift the COM to allow the horizontal engines to provide as much horizontal thrust while not applying a counteracting downwards force which negates the lift. There are currently four (2 per side) Juno engines facing vertically to provide lift, and only 2 for horizontal lift (as it is not crucial for flight).
  2. Wasp VTOL This Halo 5 inspired VTOL, comes with two, high-speed projectiles, that cannot do anything else but look cool when they collide into any surface. Top speed is around 115, while using horizontal engines, landing speed is around 3 meters per second (due to the wings as landing gear). At 65 parts, this VTOL is one to store in your Spacecraft hangar when you feel like flying around and shooting things. It's a simple easy to fly VTOL perfect for new flyers. Side note: To whom it may concern, sorry for my recent inactivity for the past month and a half, possibly more. I'll try to release more crafts soon and of course be more active, not to mention, be better at organizing a post like this one.... DOWNLOAD TODAY
  3. Im just going to leave this here: Not U-2! Looks great and to think you kept mostly within the actual dimensions.
  4. If one feels the need to press F3, I'd highly recommend doing that, and probably will update the craft when SQUAD finishes patching MOST bugs, not these micro patches for some major topical bugs. You can easily remove the solar panels or simply remove them, and you'd have more space for a command seat. Be aware that currently, the only way to run inverse drive is by having a non symmetrical side, thus mirroring command seats would not mirror upon the X axis of the vehicle.
  5. UDR Concept Vehicle U: Universally D: Deployable (Yes I know, it's not a word) R: Rover What makes this rover different than others? It's simple really, as far as I can tell, it's probably the first rover to utilize the inverse motor in 1.1 allowing it to turn like a tank, which is both fun and practical (Not so practical with your batteries though). It also is rocket propelled, meaning it can climb steep gradients at the expense of it's relatively large fuel capacity. This vehicle can traverse the land at up to 100 meters per second for safety. It comes with to frontal landing gear in the front, making it able to clear debris that may be blocking the runway or just to capture kerbals and throw them into the pit of --- Anyways... this vehicle's control scheme is quite different from that of a normal car. Tutorial: This vehicle turns by using the W and S key. These two buttons will control where your tank points. For instance, holding your W key will cause the left track to reverse and the right track to spin normally, thus causing a left pivot.... (I made that sound way too confusing). Use the engines to propel your vehicle around since the wheels aren't actually driving but rather being your steering aid. If you need to, use point turn mode via action groups which permanently locks one side's track until released by pressing the action group button again. 6. Well after a long time of just roaming the forums, I've finally made a craft I feel very pleased about. Feels good to be back and posting again! Anyways, with KSP 1.1 (although being buggy as it is) one thing that they've added is motor inversion. Put 2 and 2 together: Motor Inversion + Improved Wheels = Tank Drive?!?!!? Yes, yes it does. I could not help the urge to see if I could do it. The UDR Concept Vehicle showcases the tank drive capabilities. Now unfortunately, there is a bug whereas you can't custom group motor inversion because the bug prevents that from happening. To overcome this challenge, the wheels on the vehicle control it's direction while engines on the back propel it! Not to mention, this vehicle is fairly compact for it's purpose and can be practical. Can't wait until they fix those bugs so I can do other things I have planned! Enough talking, more watching. Edit: I know deployable is not a word.... When do acronyms never invent words
  7. Pitch forks risen! I predicted it was going to be a spacecraft Sunday. It's ok. We all are late sometimes.
  8. Interception. The chances of this one happening is so slim considering some things but, @Starwhip
  9. Stated that in the description: Although this vehicle already exists, I decided to name one exactly to it, but make it classed as a light tank I think I was better off naming it something else But thank you all for commenting
  10. Fixed it. For some reason, the first thing that came was to say European, but I tried going more absolute with the location and didn't feel like searching it
  11. The OF-40 Light Tank As some of you may have noticed, I've been quite inactive in regards to releasing new content out. Countless crafts have been made but I have yet to release them. So, if anyone still recalls my old tank thread (probably 50 pages back ), you'll know I had (and still have) a passion for tanks. So today, I present to you a custom made tank (Never existed, my design), renamed after the Italian MBT OF-40, this tank combines speed and turret armor but sacrifices hull armor. The newest update of 1.0.5 made it impossible to make accurate I-beam missiles because they fixed the overheating problems, which is perfectly understandable. Enough rambling, this tank comes with 194 parts, 3 command seats (I would highly recommend the Take Command mod..) the tank does have cube sats on the turret and hull, so it does not require crew to operate the vehicle. The hull also has panels too look like composite reactive armor Here's the photo album! DOWNLOAD IT HERE
  12. After being inspired by @selfish_meme, I too have made a rover myself with a bit more durable suspension I just thought It'd be fun to make one of my own. His being called Duna Buggy (Dune Buggy), Mine is called Buggy Muggy. Though to the eye, it looks like I took the craft and just renamed it, I did indeed build it from scratch and with different modifications. Enjoy
  13. Considered on adding suspension to it? I can test that myself and see if it comes out better or not (that's in regards to the jumping over building stunts ) So you don't break wheels... Edit---- Upon further inspection, you do have the radial engine suspension but I think it's just a tad too stiff to absorb impacts like that probably adding one more to the front as well as rear should give you that spring feeling when hitting big bumps
  14. Should get around to posting this eventually.... but nevertheless, I present to you, to whom it may interest of course, the StarJumper Mk I SSTO
  15. Very nice fine print their. Must have taken you a long to write up that "story" :). I have yet to make an SSTO reliable to make 300,000 meters without running out of fuel around 80,000 meters. Potential restoration of the starstreaker series.
  16. Spider engine suspension has taken my attention for around a week. I've made two vehicles with this suspension, one being this simple car weighing in at 3.4 tons. There's only one thing to test and that's how well it absorbs impact... well lets just say in the testing, we fell 27 meters before hitting the ground at a speed of 21 meters per second, enduring over 2g's of near instantaneous deceleration.... Surprisingly, the wheels survived therefore exemplifying the rover wheel's durability drastically increased by simply attaching it to two radial spider engines.
  17. I got a question: Why do you always put the COL in the middle of the COM making the aircraft technically unstable, that's why your getting those "air drifting". Is that intended for fun?
  18. Just made an M1128 Light Mobile Gun Recon Car/Truck both with standard variant and the urban SOS Kit. It features, independent suspension per wheel, (2 spider engines to be exact per wheel), it can survive a drop from around 5 to 7 meters. Top speed is 19 meters per second, and it does not flip when turning at full speed on a flat surface. -----Edit------ Gif of suspension How to post GIF files? http://imgur.com/i8ai6IB
  19. From what I've learned, all you need to do to fix those video issues is post the link say.... youtube.com and then hit space right after you type it in. It should automatically format it and such. In regards to individual images, the insert other media button >>Insert Image from URL >> The direct link in imgur. Not the html link, the direct image link. Hope it clears up the issues I should know, I wen't through a lot of them
  20. I don't really have a name for this vehicle... open for suggestions. Its an asymmetrical plane with the cockpit seated at the left side of the main wing. Flies well, center of mass is in the dead center, fuel drains correctly to keep COM in the middle. Lots of fuel, top speed around 160 meters per second, Landing gear positions look weird but It works and it just adds more to the craft.
  21. Banned for not fulfilling Jebediah's role as BadS status
  22. Oh man, I presume I've been gone for too long. To answer the question, 1 battery per side, total 400 battery life, 3 Reaction wheels per side, because it requires a lot of control to get it spinning. Not to mention that, the previous design only have 1 Reaction wheel per side, it would take around 2 minutes to get it halfway to do a loop. The hinge is relatively the same, though as seen in the video, I added two thermometers in the middle (probably those aren't placed correctly) in which is to mostly blame for the issue, that and the 7 G's of force as it comes down The swing was heavily inspired on the discovery of micro hinges and by this video. Hopefully this will clear everything up. I'd be happy to answer any more questions about the swing. (Oh and the difference between Majorjim's swing and mine is I used RC and he used liquid oxygen. Same concept different fuel )
