  1. Basically this. If you can't fly it, it shouldn't be built. I find this also aids in your design as you want to design something you can easily control and maneuver. I'm also trying to keep things as minimalistic and realistic as possible. I've also been playing in the new Career mode, and it presents a very fun and immersive level of challenge you don't get in the sandbox or science mode. The only mod I use is flight engineer, as it is really a feature the vanilla game should have had. I also try not to cancel any contracts in career mode.
  2. I'll do one launch, but with multiple satellites on a single launch.
  3. No major issues as of 0.90, very occasional CTD problems when transferring from the space complex to a ship in orbit and vice versa.
  4. SSTO, and to the Mun. Didn't get back because I crashed it... Refining design and will try again. Fairly minimalistic and looks really cool IMO. Edit: Ok, getting frustrated now... How do you embed an imgur gallery?
  5. Well, might as well enter in the 0,90 manned category, although I guess it technically wouldn't qualify as the craft takes off vertically (unassisted single stage mind you). Made it to the Mach 6 club but couldn't quite make it to 2300m/s. Picture of the craft is from a slightly earlier attempt. I added a few more air scoops but it's otherwise identical.
  6. Started up the new Career mode a few days ago. Today I almost bankrupted the organization, but then saved it with a daring rescue of a stranded Kerbonaut (while testing the latest in atmospheric landing gear, in space!).
  7. Thanks, worked fine. Can't believe I forgot about that. Haven't played in about 6 months so I'm kind of rusty, lol.
  8. Ok, so getting up there and to the Kerbal is no problem. The issue is activating the stranded Kerbal to board your ship (yes, I have an available capsule). This is a mission in the career mode, so I don't have control of the Kerbal, and I can't figure out how to get it to board the ship or gain manual control of the Kerbal.
