  1. I know it's been a long time since I've updated this thing, but I made some updates to the tool and regenerated the tags to accommodate the most recent changes.
  2. Updated to 1.2.2 There were many new categories added in this update, some were removed, and most were altered quite heavily.
  3. @Ruedii let me know if you find anything about the parts not attaching correctly. Thanks for taking time to look into the exploding issue as well.
  4. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. The base station won't attach to the ground, again, with any of the available tools. Not with the wrench, screw driver, or the electric screwdriver.
  5. Just commenting to say I experience the wheel issues as well. I'm following on GitHub, but wanted to check here to see if there had been any update I hadn't seen.
  6. Does this integrate with Community Tech Tree or does it use the Stock Tech nodes?
  7. The 1.0.5 Version is available in a lot of places. I know I made a backup of 1.0.5 prior to the 1.1 release as did many others.
  8. I agree and disagree with you @Talavar. I think the engine update was a requirement regardless of the bugs in Unity 5 and that upgrading to Unity 5 has been one of the more positive changes in the history of KSP. It makes a huge difference for me and makes the game much more enjoyable now that it's actually using the resources available to it. Sticking with Unity 4 would've been a mistake, as the performance and other internal issues are not conducive to games that benefit from taking advantage of a larger resource pool. That said, I think the 1.1 release should have been pushed back another month or so after pre-release instead of trying to stick with a 2-3 week release schedule after pre-release. Especially after the myriad of bugs that were reported.
  9. So, I'm moving this here from the 1.1 pre-release thread. Sorry if this isn't allowed, but the old thread was locked. I've run through and grabbed all of the searchable tags found in the stock files located in GameData/Squad/Parts folder. If you'd like to include searchable tags to your parts in the future, simply add the line "tags = [tag1] [tag2] ..." in the main section of the part.cfg file. I found that most were located below the Bulkhead Properties or the Description line in the .cfg folder when first looking at these. There is a download link that will be updated as new releases come out. There were quite a lot of tags changed between 1.1 pre-release and the official release and I imagine that this will change. FAQ: Q: What do the ( and ) and ? mean? A: Check out this post : The text contained: Q: What is/was the "Missing?" category? A: In the most recent updates, there is no longer an empty/missing category as all parts are now under some form of category or another. Older versions of KSP will still have parts without a category, but current versions have added a new 'none' category for these to sit in. I don't know. I can't seem to find what it is and there is probably something wrong with the scraping tool I wrote to pull the tags. That category had no name, it was blank, but still had tags tied to the blank category. That said, no one seems to have provided an answer for what the category should be, so it's labelled as "Missing?" until there's an answer. Q: Can I run this tool myself? A: Sure, it's on GitHub under KSP-Tag-Scraper. It's nothing fancy, just remember to set the kerbalDirectory variable to a the Parts folder(it's a recursive function by default, but I wouldn't trust it to run from "C:\") and the outputDirectory variable to the directory you want to write "KSPTags.txt" to. 10. I'm curious about this as well. Sometimes it seems like CKAN isn't pushing updates properly, but sometimes it looks like mod authors aren't updating their CKAN configs to show compatibility for the new patch. I wish there was an easy tool to automate that if that's all there is to it.
  11. Oh no, now I'm worried I both made too many changes and not enough. Excuse me, while I go run through the tags again.
  12. Just a heads up, the tags will be finished before the weekend is up.
  13. @Flashblade if you'd like to take over I'd still be glad to help. I extracted all of the existing stock tags broken up by category and got started last night. i think it's gonna be a bit easier to finish than I initially thought, so it's something that I could complete in a few days during my free time.
  14. Nah, don't worry about I. I'll whip something up for it. Just wanted to double check.
  15. Is there a list of stock tags available? if not I can pull them from the existing similar parts.
  16. I might be able to help you out with that. I'm assuming you just need someone to go through the parts folder in the git-hub repo and add the searchable tags to them? Is there a format that you'd like to use or things that you want standardized? I don't know how much time I'll have but I could use the distraction.
  17. @DMagic Let me know if you need any help designing some new tests or if there's anything i can do to help facilitate the testing. It's something I'm pretty interested in, and would be willing to help get things rolling once the official release happens.
  18. Yeah, at .03 I was in the green more often than not. Even when it was in the yellow. I saw about1.5 seconds per in game second. I've never seen such a stark difference in performance before. Thanks for your effort in updating this @DMagic
  19. So it's probably a little early, but I went ahead and re-ran this test on my 5960x, 64gb setup. Was the first thing I did with access to the pre-release. Average was almost triple from the pre 1.1 update. https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/folders/0Bwz6qwYkoVltflFCOXhzeGhtODBJbzBraE85TTBtV3ZJbXMtckxjZFNfWTc4eTY5NzNCNkE
  20. Yeah, it's where I expected it to be. I'm glad it's up there and that I could contribute. I think I might re-run the test with an OC of around 4.5GHz when I get back to my house, just to see if that improves anything. I think most people think that price = speed for games and that higher is better, and that's just not always the case. To be honest I don't play games much, my computer is mostly used as a workstation/sever, and the 5960 isn't necessarily designed to be as fast as the other i7s, it's designed to be more powerful. That power does translate into speed for a lot of the applications I use, but it makes sense for games that it's on par with an i5 or lower i7. One thing it does offer though is consistency, and the ability to chew through things without any stuttering or slow down, and that took me a while to find in a processor/ram setup. Anyways, again, glad I can contribute, and thank you for your contributions to the community. I thoroughly enjoy your mods and what they have added to the game.
  21. Sure thing, totally used the wrong installation when I ran the benchmark. I also ran into some other weird issues with my frame rate dropping on all launches from the launchpad, while launches from the runway and all vehicle assembly was fine. I think I've smoothed out the issues though. I'll re-run the test tomorrow, and re-upload them to the same link.
