  1. Ok, will move it to a different place (other than KSP forums).

  2. Any more systems? And you're making a planet pack of your system, awesome! :) Can't wait to explore it. Just wanted to say your exoplanet quest is awesome!

Thanks! I've only found one system where every candidate is a possibility. My second system, IPH-2 (IRVEES Planet Hunters), may have anywhere from 2 to 5 planets. Some of the 5 signals could be false positives or just the same planet. Take IPH-3.03 and IPH-3.04 as an example. It's system already has 2 gas dwarf candidates discovered a few months ago, but I decided to see if there were more. I found 6 other candidates, 3 that were false positives. Two of the 3 remainders were actually the same planet, with transit depths varying because of stellar noise. IPH-4 is even more confusing, with a possibility of two co-orbital planets like the Kepler-271 system.

  3. The horror known as "real life issues" is over, so I'll be back to normal activity. You know, less posting for the last couple months was not normal.

  4. I'll be less active than usual for a couple of months, probably until August-ish? IRL stuff.

  5. Darnok, you said in the How Many People Can The Earth Support thread that clean energy is bad. I have three questions.

    A: WTF?!?!

B: How did you come to this conclusion?

C: No offense, but can you improve your grammar a little bit (if English isn't your first language I apologize)?

Can't we do both? No disaster in life's history has been similar to this, in that this is an attack on ALL FRONTS. So no species is even remotely equipped to deal with this. Oh, yeah, have you seen the pictures of modern Beijing on a good day? In fact, this is the worst mass extinction since the asteroid that hit Earth 65 million years ago. And we all know how that turned out for the dominant lifeform...

We can't do both since we have limited resources, limited money, limited work force and limited time... and population demanding more and more resources and energy is growing.

I would say we are trying to put down the fire by throwing more wood into fire... it is working for very short time, since fire will get lower, but over time it will consume all our resources and it will burn even higher.
Instead we should use remaining wood to invent or buy fire extinguisher

Ok, let's call a truce, shall we?

      P.S. #BreakBreak4MakeMake

P.P.S. A moon was just announced for the dwarf planet Makemake a few minutes ago. I propose Breakbreak as the name of that moon, because Break is the opposite of Make.

  6. .craft file is up!

  7. Ok, thanks for letting me know :).

  8. Um... Darnok? You seriously think we don't know that the speed of light is constant? Ever heard of relativity?

You have two variables: time and distance.

If you have three spacecraft which are all measuring the distance and relay time of each other, then you can check their internal timekeeping against each other to determine whether there is variance in electromagnetic behavior.

"You have two variables: time and distance. " - on paper yes, but in reality no. Time is human construct and you are measuring it using imaginary intervals.

"If you have three spacecraft which are all measuring the distance and relay time of each other..." - ok, show me example with some data, maybe then I will be able to explain you what you are doing wrong.

  9. It's OK if you closed that thread of mine, Frybert. I didn't mean any harm, but I completely understand :).
