  1. i like the martian spacesuit or maybe those from interstellar. but not too many differences
  2. love it too! very simple and smooth
  3. cool use of the intake as an engine socket!
  4. wow!! didn't know that feature! Is that with mods?
  5. waaahh!!!!! cant wait to try it out!!!
  6. thanks! I will recover all of it in one time eve will i explore in a lot of tiny ones. the rest with one craft I you see in the episode "vessel introduction" you see the MM Explorer. he's going to do the job on mun and Minmus. because i stated in the topic that i dont want to do repeating experiments, i dont think i would the splashed down expirements. the FRP woule come in handy! i will look into it! thanks
  7. ~Kerbin Explorations - Part 3~ Hello fellow kerbonauts!! In the last episode we covered, kindof, the rest of the exploration. But in this episode we'll doe the rest. We're going to scramble the last science with the Kerbin Biome Scrambler! First fuel tanks away! Yes... that is Duna! Second pair of tanks away! And almost above the badlands! Third pair away! And above the badlands Just cruisin'... with mach 3 Onwards to the south pole! Made a stupid mistake here... later I returned back from the KSC and did the right experiments above the South Pole Last tank away! Back to the KSC Just wow... There it is! Cool descent Touchdown... ...And parked! Grabbed the science from the a.. (it was seriously the only way i could grab it XD) Bam!!! 465 science! And that ends the flying operations above Kerbin! The second part is about the amount of science I archieved I gathered 465 data now and the total amount of data is: Ground : 10 x 42 (-2) = 418 Flying L: 4 x 11 + 3 = 47 Flying H: 11 + 6 = 17 Space L: 2 x 11 + 5 = 27 Space H: 11 + 6 = 17 Total = 526 (Normal Biomes = 11, Microbiomes = 31, you cannot do other than ground expirements on micro biomes) Gathered = 465/526 = 88% I gathered all the ground and low flying data and none of the high flying date. That maybe come in the future, as well the space data. But now my data rate is 88% on Kerbin so I call it a succes! If you want to see a little organization changes that I made to create some more overview, Open the hidden content In the next parts I will cover the first Moon operations and the last craft that are to be launched! Stay tuned! Hakuna Kerbata!! Ferdoni
  8. That is right.. but not what i did. let see it as a car. You can drive at 110 miles an hour. or 60 miles an hour. Within an hour you don't go further at 60 miles than driving at 110 miles. But with a limited amount of fuel you go actually further while driving at 60 miles an hour! how weird is that? It is because, when you go faster, you recieve more resistance. But in KSP lowering the TWR to the lowest point at around 1.01 TWR means that you need to burn faaar to long to get to space than with an TWR of 3, even with the same amount of fuel. starting to get it what I'm testing? I'm basicly testing the fuel economy at certain TWR's (or speeds as you like) Going faster doesn't mean going further nor going slower. But going efficiently does. And what I'm going to do is test different SRB's. The Kickback has an other ideal TWR setting than the Hammer SRB. And don't get me wrong by thinking that I want SRB's to get you to orbit. But the Hammer, Thumper and Kickback represent an certain height to wich you can burn within a stage. That's why
  9. no, that would be inconsistent. I changed te thrust level in de VAB. and its not a few hundred metres, its about 600 kilometres I will give more and better test results soon!
  10. The result column represents the amount of metres vertically archieved. The trajectory is indeed a little bit curved, due to the rotation of kerbin. And yes, the rocket remains longer in the atmosphere but when you go for orbit, you still need a vertical movement. TWR is at launch time, right.
  11. how about a modular probe core? the more features you want, the heavier it is

  13. hello everyone! just a new thread to post all suggestions you have for new parts you want to see in the stock game. a little rule: dont put down a wishlist with 137 new parts, but just one or two(ish) okay, lets kick off: - A rotating part, for example just two dishes, one of them is solid and the other is rotable (with or without an engine in it)(for helicopters and interplanetary thingies) - Small square fuel tank (preferred radial attachable) for space probes Let me know what you guys think! kreetz, Ferdoni
  14. Hmm I can remember this challenge from 2 years ago or something... but interesting! I will give it a try
  15. I've also had some problems with docking in the beginning. It was fairly easily solved by turning of the SAS of the target ship.
  16. you don't need a very precise orbit since the margins are quite large with those contracts
