  1. This is what everyone who is whinging about something they don't like with the game really actually need to take heed of before posting rants on the forums.
  2. Everything you have said actually in turn promotes the requirement to be creative. If you can not come up with working planes/rockets it in fact shows that you are not using creativity to come up with solutions to problems. Now I hate grinding things out and that is why I do not play mmo's but ksp never feels like a grind at all. If you see it as a grind then this game is not for you in the slightest. I am sure there will be a space program game built for the COD generation in the future which will be more to your liking and level of play. I must say that you sir have hit the nail on the head. 1.0.x now gives you the tools and the actual need to be hyper creative and I for one think that it is a move in the right direction.
  3. 1.0.x is what it is. There are solutions like the above or move to Linux and install more ram. The more people whine about what should of been and what should not have been unless you are develop of the game in question.
  4. Whilst yes it can be considered a PSA, it hadn't been reported as a bug for squad to look at. That should be the first port of call not coming on the forums with "Squad, I try not jump on the bandwagon but you make it very hard...." That is where the bashing of squad came in. I also want to be clear that I had no negative connatations towards yourself just people who can not report bugs to the correct place so that they can be looked at.
  5. How dare you ask somebody to report a bug through proper means and not allow them to come on the forums and bash squad......... How dare you! /sarcasm.
  6. If you do not like this version then you have 3 options; 1. Shut up complaining and learn how to deal with it. 2. Stop playing for a while and try again in a few more versions. 3. Shut up and never play again. Basically the best option for by the sounds of things is number 3!
  7. Well said, if you you are frustrated then please pose your frustrations in a constructive manner so that squad can actually work on this issue if in fact is an issue that needs fixing and is not just something that requires a bit of thought on your behalf to solve. I had issues with my rockets flipping to begin with and you know what I decided not to blame squad but look at my designs and see if I can work up a solution. Guess what I found that solutions all by myself and I have now eve moved o to ssto's which is the first time I have ever ventured into the plane variety of ssto's. I have made considerably strides in this field and once I get back from holiday I will go further into these. Please please please do not attack squad for their hard work.
  8. I am not trying to sound harsh with this post (and is purely my own opinion that I am entitled to) but the people who say they write software all day or what ever they use in their arguments need to go and design and build their own space simulator that would obviously be better than what squad have put out by what Has bee said o these forums. Squad has grown and with that come new objectives/priorities/demands. Trust in them to keep developing and pose your frustrations in a more constructive way rather than just coming across as ranting.
  9. Thanks for these, I will find these of much use when I get back off holiday.
  10. My first flight in 1.0.x and the rocket flipped and went crazy spinning but managed to get control back and just get in to orbit but not enough fuel to get back so back to sandbox to do a little testing on a few designs using only the parts I had unlocked and a few changes here and there and I was golden to complete a rescue mission. it made me think outside the norm and I learnt how to adapt. This is what all the people whining about aero and rockets flipping need to understand the game is about challenges and the rise to overcome those challenges. If you don't like it then mod it to your tastes, if there is not a mod that can do that then write one, if you can not write one then learn how to, if you can not be bothered then sorry to say this is not the game for you. If you are offended by what I have said then tough luck.
  11. I will start off as many others will playing stock, then will add mods as and when I decide to. Gameplay-altering: - Infernal Robotics - Remote Tech Stuff to make life easier: - Mechjeb - Kerbal Alarm clock And then more as i find them again as I have just deleted my ksp folder ready to install on linux.
  12. Well I have just upgraded my processor, thrown in an ssd, will 16gb of ram by time ksp comes out and an upgrade to a gtx 760 from a radeon 5770 and i am just putting the finishing touches to my linux install and that is my near release ritual.
