And you can wait. Wait. Most mods that have wheels or plugins that interact with the GUI need to be updated for 1.1 because of the switch to Unity 5. Part mods will likely work, but not always. Also, some plugin authors bought KSP through the KSP store, and thus can't update their plugins until 1.1 is released

Nope. That's only for people who bought it on the KSP store before it was released on Steam. You COULD rebuy KSP on Steam, but that would be a waste of money JUST to update a mod. Thank you for telling us though. You should probably post that on the main thread as well.

@ferram4 Correct me if I'm wrong, but the latest DLL in the Git repo (not the release) is a dev version for the 1.1 prerelease? If so, is the 64-bit disabler still in place?

Sounds good to me. A panel of judges would have to be gathered, though.
