  1. Thanks . Would have been even more adorable if i made it in it's original scale, witch would have made it about the same size as my fingertip. And good news everyone, i got all of the models, and there variants made into PDF format, so now i can organize them and release them probably tomorrow.
  2. Alright, the first crafts have been added. And they are the two ballistic missile launchers that i have, the good old KBM-300 and the all new Honest jeb. You'll find them under the Tactical ICBM Force.
  3. Sorry for the long silence, but i got some stuff in the way, and i kinda forgot to make one of the updates that i was supposed to do. So, what's the progress then, the progress is this: The main part of the train project is now done (minus the flat cars witch where made as a bonus in a few minutes). Next Monday ill be able to start working on fixing all the mistakes and plotting everything to PDF, so that i can release this model to the public. There are a few bits on the AA gun whose positions could be marked, the roof of the forward artillery car has to be fixed and the bottom plate of it flipped the other way around so that the position markers for the wheels and the plow at the front point in the proper direction. Oh, and remember those 1:72 scale Finnish tank models i was talking about..well, decided that instead of going and buying a bunch of Russian tank models and some hugely expensive decal sets, i did this: It was originally a 1:250 scale Russian T-26 made by R & P Models that i re-scaled and recolored myself. Here's a list of the ones i recolored: T-26 Light tank (single tone and 3 tone camo versions) T-28 Medium tank (single tone camo only) BA-10/BA-6 Armored car (single tone only)(includes turrets for BA-6 and BA-10 versions) FAI-M Armored car (single tone and 3 tone camo versions)
  4. Time for an end of the year update. The new KDI post is up, witch means that i can finally start emptying the majority of my backlog of crafts. First of witch will be the upgraded KBM-300 that i promised a long time ago. It took a little extra work to get it done as one of the newer updates crippled it, causing the launch box to brake apart every-time i tried to lift it up. Luckily, all it needed was a few struts. I also threw in a couple extra upgrades in there aswell. So here's a couple shots from the first successful test launch in a long time. EDIT: Hmm...looks like it's time to upgrade the old trailer hitching system as-well. EDIT: Looks like the new hitching system doesn't work that well either. Other stuff that will be coming this month includes: UCS HE 111 (as promised) Two new Tornado crafts and two new carriers with a new 3 new carrier planes and 3 new replica carrier planes. And of-course some stuff to the KDI post.
  5. Yes, the name maby sightly inspired by my love for the C&C games. Kerbal Defence Initiative Welcome, KDI is our newely formed global security company that is charged with keeping world peace. And to do that, we need the latest and greatest in weapons technology, with some good old reliable stuff in there as-well. Our inventory includes a whole host of different vehicles from fighters to super-heavy-bombers, and from small armed jeeps to heavy-tanks and huge ICBM launchers. If you are wondering about naval combat, that's still handled by the KNS. For a long time i've used a naming system for my aircraft's and ground vehicles, and here is the legend that will allow you to identify them. Aircrafts: KTA=Kerbal Trainer Aircraft KF=Kerbal Fighter KSA=Kerbal Strike Aircraft KLB=Kerbal Light Bomber KMB=Kerbal Medium Bomber KHB=Kerbal Heavy Bomber KSHB=Kerbal Super Heavy Bomber KTP=Kerbal Transport plane KRP=Kerbal Reconnaissance Plane. Ground vehicles: KTT=Kerbal Transport Truck KMCC=Kerbal Mobile Construction Crane KPC=Kerbal Personnel Carrier KLT=Kerbal Light Tank KMBT=Kerbal Main Battle Tank KFV=Kerbal Fighting vehicle KTD=Kerbal Tank Destroyer KML=Kerbal Mobile Launcher AIR-FORCE Fighter Command The spearhead of our flying forces. These are the planes that are tasked with protecting our skies and our lands with the latest and greatest in interceptor and ground attack aircraft technology. Bomber Command The high flying and hard hitting side of the air-force. These are the planes that will send you a big warm welcome from overseas. Support Aircraft The support sector is the backbone of our military operations. These planes are tasked to keep an eye on the enemy and direct our forces to take them out. GROUND FORCES Assault Forces MBT's, APC's, armored cars, these are the first in line in any combat operation. Tactical ICBM Force When bombings and naval bombardments aren't enough, you can always send a warm welcome on the nose of a modified space-rocket to the farthest reaches of Kerbin. Defense Forces These guys will keep watch and shoot anything that comes too close. Support/Engineering Forces Recovering vehicles, building FOB's and defences, these guys will take care of it. Here is the list of mods currently in use with the project (mods used differs between crafts). IMPORTANT:(I wasn't supposed to include SXT in my mod list, but, this mod happens to include MK0 fuel-tanks witch are indistinguishable from the stock ones, so some of the crafts have these in them, and i don't know witch ones. Sorry ). I will be uploading new crafts every now and then, so be sure to follow if you are interested. I have about a couple dozen crafts waiting to be put up, and more will be made. I hope you enjoy this little army
  6. Alright, time for an update again. Im happy to announce that the next two weeks will be pretty much empty for me witch gives me plenty of time to continue this project. My current goal is to get the build done by the end of next week, so that i can get the build testing phase over with and fix all and any errors, so that i can release the model before Christmas. I got another one of the cars done as-well. I've said it once, and ill say it again, i think that the added crew just makes it look way more awesome Next in line will be the captured PL-37 artillery car.
  7. Pretty nice. reminds me that i should showcase the other custom papermodel project that i made, witch is quite huge. And good luck on the build.
  8. Well, i also have big box full of unfinished models (tanks, planes, ships, trucks...etc) that i should one day finish. I kinda just do what i feel like doing instead of building something that i printed months ago as it keeps things more fun.
  9. There are still some models of the Saturn V available, all on the same site as-well. One of them is in 1:96 scale, one is in 1:48 scale, and there is a micro version with the launch-tower as-well. http://jleslie48.com/gallery_models.html Just select Apollo-era.
  10. Glad to see people that actually know of this hobby, as i don't think even one of my friends had ever even heard of this hobby before i came along. i've been building papermodels for over 10 years now, and i can say i still enjoy it, but it has sort of lost it's shine, as these days i kinda have to commit myself to do them instead of just building them all the time like i used to, tough back them my build quality was a lot more rushed and rubbish. Pretty much all off my early work is gone now too. Just the best of the best and the most recent remains. I think i've built something like 200 or so model since the start of this hobby. Man, the amount money on the ink alone .
  11. Censoring is complete and all the original picks are back. And here's a little bonus. Because i wanted to do it, and knew that i could do it quickly, i decided to add variants for 3 of the cars. If you don't want to have a kitchen car, you can opt for the machine gun car. It's basically just a texture switch. If you want to have a little more punch in your train, you can switch out the forward artillery car for the earlier variant witch has a 75mm mountain-gun on the nose turret. And here's an alternative AA gun car. The Bofors gun on the nose has been swapped out for an old 75mm naval-gun that works as an AA gun. The car also has a searchlight as an added bonus. I will test build the AA gun car variant, but probably not the others as they will work as long as the base versions work.
  12. Got a message from @Vanamonde saying that the Finnish swastikas where a little too inappropriate for the forums (should have known), so i'm gonna have to do some censoring. On another note, here's a little update. This weekend was more relaxation, so that's why there hasn't been much progress, but at-least i got this done. I think having the crew really livens it up by quite a bit. Just have to do 2 more of these.
  13. Alright, time for the first update, i got the kitchen car done and also... say hello to the crew of the train It was a pretty tedious task to make all those guys, but this time i was extra motivated since this is a custom project, so i was able to pull trough before i gave up and buried the project for the next 2 weeks. Their all a bit crude and simple, but they work well enough for me. I was also now able to confirm the scale of the figures and the train. It is not in fact close to 1:50 scale, it's actually...well...ill just let the picture tell you. Yep, that is a Revell 1:72 scale model of a Panzer III with Airfix German troops. Either i made a miscalculation, or i made the right calculation without realizing that i was using the wrong scale. But, that just makes me more happy as 1:72 scale i probably the most common scale in modelling, so if i want some proper model troops or some bit of Finnish armor to go with the thing, i can do that. The train itself is tough...that's probably closer to a little over 1:70 scale, as it seemed a little large when i put it in front of my 1:72 scale K5 railway gun Leopold, but not by that much. Also: Fits quite perfectly don't you think (the other is a model of the German Panzerhaubitze 2000).
  14. Thanks . Hmm, your in luck, as there's a paper-model of the Orion SLS available here http://axmpaperspacescalemodels.com/index.php/miscellaneous/
  15. Just taught you guys might be interested to see some of my handy-work in the real world . Plus, at the end of this, you guys will get a chance to make your own as-well. It'll take some time for me to make that happen, as i need to copy all the parts and lay them on to A4 sized areas and then plot PDF's out of all of them. I'm using AutoCad and a big plotter, so everything is printed on to an 4xA4 sized sheet. But in the mean time, ill be posting pics and info on the project, as-well as constant updates, so you guys will get to see what the thing looks like before and after the build. While i'm still hanging around my old school (technically i've finished everything and i'm just waiting to get my papers), i decided to use take one of my notebook paper-model projects to the next level. In this case, an approximately 1:50 scale paper model of a Finnish armored train. It seems the train is actually closer to 1:70 scale. Or to be specific, a model of the train that is currently held in the Parola armor museum, witch is comprised of what's left over from Panssarijuna 1 (armored train 1), with an unarmored locomotive that never saw any action. Mine one will include the actual locomotive that was used on one of the two Finnish armored trains. Below is a collage of all the stuff that the paper-model train has. (the flatcars on both ends are there to be cheap cannon-fodder, for example if the track is broken or is wired with explosives, they will take the full brunt while the rest of the train will remain mostly unharmed. The front artillery car is from an old captured Russian armored train, that was captured well before WW2 and was modified multiple times during and before winter war and the continuation war, from an artillery car into an AA gun car. the second artillery car is a captured Russian PL-37 artillery car that was captured during WW2, other than a new paint-job, it's remained mostly untouched. The locomotive is a Finnish TK3 locomotive with an armored body-shell. The car behind the tender used to be an artillery car, but was later on modified into a command/kitchen car. The last carriage also started it's life as an artillery car, but was later on modified in to an AA gun car as it seemed like a better idea to use trains for AA support roles rather than front-line artillery support, as parts of the track where often blown to bits, potentially trapping the train, and because there was a general lack of AA protection for the trains from air attacks. The cars that weren't captured, where built/modified in Fredriksberg Works) If you wanna read more in to the history of these trains, go check this site out http://www.jaegerplatoon.net/TRAINS0.htm This was a project that i actually started quite a long ago by drawing 2D pictures of the locomotive/tender and all the other carriages on my school notebook. This is a style i like to use when designing my own paper models, as after i have a good 2D picture of it, i can pretty much then see the entire 3D model in my head. Then i can very quickly draw out the necessary parts to create that model. The main reason why i use school notebooks to do these designs, is because i actually measure a lot of my things by the squares on the pages. Like for example, my first custom tank that i made, had a hull that was 6x4x2 squares in size with a turret that was 2x2x2 sized with a gun-barrel that was 2x1x1 squares in size (i have created a whole series of vehicles based on that tank i did years ago). It wont create the cleanest of designs, but at least it's pretty impossible to get crooked lines and wrong measurements (tough i still do make mistakes every now and then). It may be a little difficult to get it right in the start, but there's nothing more pleasing than to get a model of your favorite thing made in any scale you want with a level of difficulty that suites you , rather than having to find a model on the internet only to find out that you have to pay a fortune and its also way too complicated . I didn't have a real scale in mind when i started to design this thing, i just drew the locomotive/tender so that it fit exactly on an A4 sheet length wise, witch by complete luck made this thing almost exactly 1:50 scaled. Scale wasn't all that important, plus it was would have been pretty impossible to even scale the thing in the first place as there are no real measurements of any parts of this train around, but i still wanted to see in what scale this thing was in for fun, plus, it helped in getting the trains crew to be of the right size. So, i measured it by scaling some 2D Finnish soldiers from Junior General to 1:50 scale (somehow accidentally scaled them to almost exactly 1:72 scale), and then used some pictures of actual people standing next to the train to see if my crew figures where roughly the size they where supposed to be. After i had drawn everything on my notebook, i redrew and enhanced all the picture i had in AutoCad (can only do that in school as an AutoCad license can cost a few grand), and then started making all the parts for the train one by one. It took me about 4-6 hours per train car (minus the super simple flat cars)plus all the previous work that was put into making the original plans. And here are some picks of what's going on with the project so far. And sorry in advanced, i was supposed to take some WIP shots of the locomotive build, but i forgot . Why not start off with the locomotive witch was the first thing i got done. The actual locomotive was a Finnish built TK3 locomotive that was equipped with an armored body shell. It was later on equipped with a very innovative stealth system, the pipe that you see running from the front of the train to the back, its used to transport the smoke from the main smoke stack under the train, making tracking of the trains movement by it's smoke-trail very difficult. I made some mistakes when designing it, that i didn't notice until i started building it, those won't be on the release version. The next part i wanna do is the Kitchen car. The Kitchen car is done now. WIP/instructional shots are inside the spoiler. While i do that and all the other cars, i'll have to do the crew of the train as-well. Say hello to the crew. I made the bases by just cutting the left over paper into little white rectangles. WIP/instructional shots are inside the spoiler. Those little guys are just copied and re-scaled stuff found on this site Junior General. It's more of a collection of random Finnish troops with some gun crews meant for 76 mm AA guns. If i wanted gun crews for the 3 40mm Bofors guns, i would have had to make my own or use US or British gun crews instead. The AA gun car is propably the most time consuming of all the armored cars, but also my favorite. WIP/instructional shots are inside the spoiler. The PL-37 artillery car went together no problem at all with no errors to report WIP/instructional shots are inside the spoiler. The forward artillery car needs a roof job, as there are big holes on it, but other than that, it went together just fine. Tough the gun commander now has to use the observation cupola as there's no room for him on the turret. WIP/instructional shots are inside the spoiler. There will most likely still be stuff that needs to be redesigned/fixed, but that's just part of the process, test builds have to be done to make sure everything works. It's done now, and here is the download link (does not include the crew nor the recolored tanks as im not sure about the rights in stuff like that). Oh, and btw, even tough they don't show up on any of the picks, the model still has the Finnish swastikas) https://www.dropbox.com/s/o4uoluos4d16a39/Finnish armored train paper model.zip?dl=0 As is said at the start of the post, ill be constantly updating this, so be sure to follow if your interested. And i hope you enjoy watching this little project take shape .
  16. This is the first aircraft that came to my mind when seeing that approximation. Tough i wonder if any Cougars fly anymore as it's very old and i think one of the earliest US jets. The other one that came to mind is the Grumman Panther witch is an upgrade of the Cougar, nut it has straight wins so it doesn't really fit the bill. Another one that just came to mind witch might be a longshot as i think it too is a museum plane nowadays It's the F-101 Voodoo. I feel like the green color is a sign that the plane may be a museum aircraft, as green camo isn't really used by any country these days, there all just plain gray.
  17. Kerb NG.Drive It's the result of one days fun of driving around in a very fast car with no crash damage and unbreakable joints on on. Also, this happened a couple times And here's a...well, i don't know what to say. I put the destroyer on the runway, started to search youtube for some nice sailing music, came back, and this happened.... I just don't know how it's even possible for a ship of this size to just fall over like that, it's not like it's unstable either. I really hope no one was on the loo while this happened.
  18. Personally, i don't think that there's really anything to complain about, and if there is, it can usually be fixed with a mod, like hangar size limitations and offset limitations. But, there is one thing. The lack of an auto-save feature. I've lost many great projects to the game crashing while i'm saving a craft, witch will result in a corrupted craft. So, having the game save for me at set intervals would help in eliminating this problem. I do also forget to save crafts every now and then. Having a "just a few parts more and its don....game crashed..." is a great demoralizer. Sure, there are work arounds (making multiple saves of a single craft), but it all feels like another version of loading Kerbals into command seats, it takes time and it's a bit annoying. Thankfully it's only a small annoyance.
  19. decided to continue work on the small howitzer, and here it is. I will try to work on the shell a little bit more as a range of just 2.4km isn't much to talk about, it's also very slow for an artillery shell. One fun little feature of the gun is, that everytime i switch back to the gun, the empty shell automatically pops out of the barrel on its own, as you can see on the second firing where i was actually able to switch back to the gun.
  20. Currently working on something a little different. It's a custom railway gun that i call "Goliath". I wanted to test that the thing can actually stay together, and that the gun can elevate before i start working on the firing mechanism, or the reload mechanism. There is a chance that this may not work at all, but in case it does, it should be pretty powerful, as it will fire 1000mm rocket propelled HE-shells. Currently there are quite a lot of issues on the carriage that need fixing, it wants to sag from the middle to the point it touches the ground, the suspension in the wheels is so loose that the thing falls over without support legs and i can't really make the suspension any tighter because it will start to spazz around and 70% of the wheels will pop. But, at-least the barrel is fine and doesn't turn into a banana like i originally feared. This idea is also inspired by a little experiment i did a while ago. I wanted to experiment with the idea of creating a super realistic AT-gun/Howitzer that fires custom built shells. It includes semi realistic gun recoil, gun elevation, and a working breech block type breech mechanism that are all IR operated. It also includes a custom HE-grenade that leaves an empty shell behind. Unfortunetly it's a bit unreliable, and needs some fixing. Also, it's a bit impossible to reload this thing without using some rediculous looking magazine on 4 legs that has a piston that hopefully pushes the shell all the way inside the barrel. I will probably go back at some point and try to fix these problems.
  21. Yea, i haven't seen any airship replicas either, tough i'm pretty sure some have been done before, whether they have been showcased or not. Thanks . Thanks .
  22. And here comes the very special post just a day after a very special day (22.10. my b-day). As the title suggests, you will get to see a super detailed replica of a German WW1 airship, aswell as a 1.6m long 3D papermodel of the same exact ship. HISTORY AND TECHNICAL DATA OF LZ 45 L 13 The LZ 45 (as it was known by it army register) L13 (as know by its navy register) is one of a series of 22 P Class Zeppelins built for the german army to serve as navy patrol ships and bombers. Technical data LZ 45: Length:163.5 m Height:21.962 m Width:25.789 m Diameter: 18.69 m Volume:32000m³ Engines:4 x Maybach C.X, 210hp, 1200 rpm Mass:21470kg Crew:18 to 20: (Executive Officer, Commander, Navigator, Sailmaker (responsible for gasbags), Chief Engineer, 2 altitude coxswains, 2 steering coxswains, 8 engineers) Armaments: 7 or 8 machine guns: water-cooled MG-08 (navy version), air-cooled Parabellum MG 14 (army version). 2,000 kg bombs (a greater load could be carried with reduced fuel load). The design of P-Class ships varied between the years. For example, LZ 72 and LZ 38 had earlier gondola designs and LZ 60 had experimental ones. There where also some differences in rudder design. The LZ 45 portrays the most common design configuration. LZ 45 was built by the Luftchiffbau Zeppelin in hall 1 at Friedrichshafen and entered service in July.24.1915. It survived thru the war and and served as a training ship for a while (a white stripe was painted on the nose), and was also the first of the airships to bomb London, dropping a total of 20,667 kg of bombs during its career. The ship and its commander Käpitanleutnant Heinrich Mathy logged a total of 159 flights, 17 of witch where bombing raids and 45 of witch where reconnaissance flights. Lz 45 was decomissioned in late April 1917 and was scrapped in the December of that year. GENERAL INFO ABOUT THE P CLASS The P class was a new design that was larger than preceding designs and introduced enclosed crew accommodation (open on preceding ships). It also introduced a new more aerodynamic design. These included a front command car with a glass house like command room, a radio room and a captains rest area with two large openings with MG-mounts on either side. Connected to that is the front engine car, with a single engine that drove a propeller trough a reduction gear. These two cars where connected with a strip of fabric, this was done keep the vibrations of the engine out of the command car. The rear gondola had three engines mounted in line. One drove a propeller at the rear similar to the front engine car, while the two others drove propellers mounted on the side of airships body trough a reduction gear. The propellers on the side where slightly offset to one another due to the position of the reduction gears into witch the propeller axles had to connect. Large openings for MG's can also be found on the rear engine car. 3 defensive MG's where on a platform located on top of the bow of the airships body, this could be accessed by a long ladder that went from the top of the ship to the corridor at the bottom of the airships body. This corridor also connects the two gondolas and has the bomb-bays in it as-well. Amount of bomb-bays varied between army and navy versions. It is believed that army version witch needed a greater range to reach places like London had fewer bomb-bays, while the navy versions had more as they where mostly used in patrol missions. You can read the Wikipedia article about the P Class if you want info on the structural design of the hull and history of other P Class vessels. Some of the P Class vessels where converted to the Q Class witch was nearly identical, minus an extra 15 meters of length to allow the airship to have a larger volume witch allows it to fly higher making it harder to shoot down. CAMO PATTERNS As,with anything military related, P Class airships sported a variety of different camo patterns. INCASE YOU WHERE WONDERING Some of you might be wondering that "hey, i think ive seen this in Battlefield 1", Altough it may look very similar, the behemoth in Battlefield 1 is an R class "super zeppelin", the L30. THE PAPER MODEL Time to go to the actual project. The Model that i built was designed by Thorsten Brand and can be found here http://www.landships.info/landships/models.html# if you want to make you own. But, i warn you, it one of the most difficult models ive ever seen, and also one of the most well researched and detailed. It would have been almost impossible for me to do properly in it's original scale witch is 1:144, that's why i printed it in A3 at school, it made the model 40% bigger, thus making everything a bit easier since the parts aren't so tiny anymore, and you-know, bigger is better right . Well, making the body of the airship would have become easier since it's not so huge, but the gondolas would have been tiny. I didn't realize that just how big it would be until about a month ago when i got re-motivated and started to build the body of the airship. I originally started by building the Gondolas first as i wanted to see if i could do those without them looking like garbage. They turned out quite well. The only thing i was kinda dissapointed with was the fact that i couldn't cut the windows open on the windscreen without ruining the window frames completely, i instead applied a bit of gray color to make them at-least a bit more realistic. I also decided to leave the interior mostly empty as it would have probably looked messy and wouldn't even be seen that well at the end. The MG platform took almost an entire day to cut and assemble as there was a lot of tiiny tiny pieces that had to be put together, but in the end it turned out pretty good aswell. The external props and their support struts/frames was a new thing to me. The instruction advised to use plastic sticks to make them, while i only had iron wire and cocktail sticks. I also only had two choises for putting the thing together, either i put them together using tape, or hot glue. I deside to go for the hot glue option as it produced a cleaner result, tough it did leave some pretty nasty blobs of glue that can be seen a little too well. Once i started making the Skeleton of the ship and the skin surrounding it, i didn't realize that just how much my lazyness was gonna bite me in the ankle. I was pretty confident that i didn't need all the provided supports to keep it together as there where a ton of supports that where supposed to be built. The skeleton should have had 19 longtitudal spars and nearly three times the amount of bulkheads. I did notice once i had hot-glued all the bulkheads onto the core that, if picked up from the middle, it would bend and buckle. I was figured that applying the skin would help keep it together. It did stop the body from turning in to a banana, but turns out that the body would get crushed under it's own weight causing a very flattened look. Because of this, i had only one choise, i had to install some ropes and hang it from somewhere. I didn't want the MG-platform to be unseen at all times, so i couldn't hang it from my ceiling lamp like the way i did with the Fiddlers Green B-36 Piecemaker, instead, i wanted to build a custom "display stand" so i could have it hanging over my computer screen. So, with help from my dad, we built a custom display stand for it using couple upside down table legs and a couple garage tire mounts (or whatever those things where supposed to be). This project really shines, not only because of the fact that it's now the biggest model ive ever built, but also because of the fact that it's by far the longest project i've ever done. While some of the bigger project like the Tamiya 1:350 USS Missouri model took me about 4 day to complete, this project took me about a weeks worth of work or maby even more to get it cut and assembled. Even tough the end result is a bit messy and how you doing in some places, im still quite proud of the end result . KSP VERSION And now for the KSP part of the project. I wanted to make a KSP replica of the LZ 45 ever since i started making the paper version. But, didn't get around to it as the airship parts that i had were a bit too small, so i had to search down the comments and found a set of custom Tweakscale configs. After i go those installed i could start making the thing. But before i could even use those, 1.3.1 came and i had to wait for a little while as the mods i needed where getting updated. Luckily it didn't take more than a few days. I also wanted to complete the paper model first. Because the custom tweakscale configs for the airship parts that only allowed me to scale the thing to 10, 20, 30 and 40m sizes, the KSP version is actually bigger than the real one. I desided to go for a full interior on the gondolas, and as an extra made the two steering wheels work, and also added a captains view (a Kerbpro camera on a docking washer). Yes, it has two steering wheels, one is for the rudders, while the other one is for the elevators. The front gondolas alone ate 500 parts, so that's why the rear engine gondola is missing some details on the inside, it all in an effort to save parts. I also ignored the offset on the outer props and made them mirrored instead. I feared that if they where offset, it could cause some control issues. To eliminate the risk of constant crashing, i built the bow and stern of the ship separately and brought them together at the end and added the bomb-bay doors, the MG platform and the logos onto the ship. I turned basically the entire front engine gondola into a sub-assembly and then built the rear engine car around that. Here's a little flying demonstration video. I put some vernor-thrusters into the nose to aid in turning cause as you can see on the video, with the rudders alone, the ship turns very slowly. https://imgur.com/a/L6qIm The album didn't appear correctly so i put a link to it instead. Technical data LZ 45 (KSP): Length:206 m Height:37.7 m Width:28.3 m Diameter:20.0 m Engines:4 x BA-4U Cyclone piston engine Mass:287.102 tons Crew: Unmanned Armaments: Unarmed Parts: 1140 Mods used: Heisenberg Airships pack, Infernal Robotics, Tweackscale, custom tweakscale configs for airship parts, Hullcam VDS.
