  1. Here is another one of my big aircrafts, 65 meters wide and 66 meters long. My idea was to build the perfect heavy bomber for long range bombing missions. The aircraft flyes really well for its size, aka it can do loop de loops and fly upside down without any trouble when its flying without load . It also has a high top speed. NOTE: i highly suggest you fly this with unbreakable joints on (ALT F12) since the wings flex quite a bit. Here are some picks of it Up and down and all around or something like that . Looks a lot like a bird in the shot above. So there you have it, a bomber that performs better than expected. I hope you enjoy it . 2. Here is the largest aircraft ive ever built and also probably one of the biggest ever built in KSP (dont know for sure). Wasnt really sure if i would put this on to the site (built in 1.0) but tought that why not put it here just for fun since its not gonna hurt anydody. There is not really much to say about this aircraft so ill let the picks do the talking for me. And yes, it flyes without the need of cheats but you cant turn with this thing at all since all the force that would go into turning the aircraft goes into flexing the wings. Mods used: MK-4 fuselage system for engines and QuizTech for the RCS system. I hope you enjoyed looking at this humongous aircraft built by me cuz i felt like doing something big, really BIG .
  3. Thanks:). The title says its a stock craft since the versions i put up for download are fully stock (the only thing thats non stock is the lights and the flags and i removed them from the stock version)
  4. So here are my first proper 1.0.5 aircraft builds, The KTP-70 Skylifter and The KTP-80 Stratocarrier cargo planes. First we will be talking about the KPT-80 Stratocarrier, a 4 engined beast that unfortunetly doesnt really work as well as i would have hoped for but it does perform suprisingly well considering that its 65 meters wide and 61 meters long. The original idea behind this craft was to create a long range heavylift aircraft for carrying lots of stuff around kerbin and that it would be able to do so even from short runways. It has a top speed of about 200-230 m/s witch is not too bad and takes off when it reaches a speed of 60-70 m/s. The handling isnt too bad, it seems responsive altough rolling takes a bit of time. Landing with this aircraft can be very tricky since the aircraft doesnt handle too well at low speed and you have to go 80 m/s or below before you can pull your landing gear down. If you pull them out at speeds above that (didnt remember this and pulled out my gears at a speed of about 120 m/s) and everything gets ripped apart. (Fun fact my cockpit survived the splash down even if it hit the water at a speed of 70 m/s). NOTE: remember to never just drive vehicles in to the back of cargo planes without tying them down (docking or decouplers) or they will bounce all around the place and brake into pieces. Done this a couple of times myself . it once made me lose one of my 4 engined Belugaish aircrafts, couple of rovers and 5 kerbals . Here are some picks of it. Ended up spicing it up a little by adding some lighting to it. But dont worry the version i put up for download is fully stock. Here we have its little brother, The KTP-70 Skylifter. Its a lot more capable aircraft due to it size (big aircrafts the size of the A-330 to A-340 to the B-747 are difficult to master) being a about two times smaller than the Stratocarriers allowing for a more rigid and efficient design. The top speed of this one is 300 m/s and lifts off at a speed of 50-60 m/s, its also very manouverable making it the perfect transport aircraft for small to medium distances (just put some external fuel tanks on the wings if you want more range) and for operating from small unpaved runways. So there you have it folks, two transport aircrafts from my colletion. I hope you enjoy them . Mods used: B9 (lights, removed from the downloadable version) and Flag decals. Download links: KTP-70: https://www.dropbox.com/s/fdtxlb8dfh0yqma/KTP-70%20Skylifter.craft?dl=0 KTP-80: https://www.dropbox.com/s/422ssjn2aqjpuyy/KTP-80%20Stratocarrier%20%28Stock%29.craft?dl=0 (this version is fully stock). Seems that i accidentally left a couple of B9 lights in there but its all fixed now.
  5. Cause why not. To be perfectly honest i dont know ether .
  6. (I already apologize if this ends up being way too long and if i suck at writing). Now its time to really show my love towards my favourite videogame character of all time and its impact on my career in KSP and my life , cuz i just feel like doing this. I dont know if anyone of you will find this interesting at all, but if you read trough the whole thing, thank you . Currently using this Screenshot collage as a background image in my school computer. We have double screens and one of them is most of the time empty so why not have something other to look at than that damn Windows logo. Its just a quick Microsoft paint thing that i did in about an hour at school, not the best but i like it . So lets get started shall we. My love for tails began actually about 2-3 months ago, suprising isnt it. The only time i had really seen tails before that was when i played Sonic Heroes when i was really young and didnt really care for the characters themselfs. After that i saw him when i played the Sonic Megacollection for the Gamecube, but back then tails for me was just a cute and cool looking character with a dumb AI. So about 3 months ago an idea popped in my head and i found myself searching for pictures of tails from google. At that point i just tought that, hmm, Tails is a Pretty cool character. After a bit of looking around i found a screenshot from one of the episodes of Sonic-X witch showed tails in the cockpit of the X-Tornado, and after that i desided to go and watch some episodes of Sonic-X cause that might be fun. And then i found myself watching all 3 seasons of Sonic-X in 2 days (i guess you can call that addiction ). After that i found out that i had a bit more than just a fandom for tails. He was no longer just a cool and cute character, he was something so much more. Tails has this very special ability to make smile even just by thinking about him . It helps a whole lot in many situations, especially when ive just spent two hours writing something on to The forum but as soon as i try to upload it it just gets stuck forcing me to go back and start over and hope that the auto-save feature has saved more than just 10% of the post . Tails for me is has the best character desing of all time (cute and cool looking at the same time), is relatable in some many ways and who wouldnt like to have two tails that grant you the ability to fly whitout the need for an aircraft and that make you run as fat as most aircrafts plus an IQ of 300. So just how relatable is he, well lets find out. I am also more of a brains beats brawn tupe of person and like to make sure that i know what im doing and try to use logic instead of force. I have always also been a fan of all sorts of techy stuff and also like to do things by myself if i can (i know how annoying it is when people give you help but dont actually know what to do). The both times ive flown in a real aircraft simulator i have left the operators stunned by my ability to fly like i would already have pilots licence so im planning on getting one in the future but the broblem is that like Tails i am a very nervous person and can get stressed out and scared pretty easylly (you cannot even believe that just how much i was shaking behind the wheel in driving school). And oh yea, i am also a certified aircraft technician. I also like to help people out whenever i can, and im also a very calm and cool personality (I dont think anything has ever made me properly mad). So yea, those are some things that came to mind. Here is pick of my Tails related stuff that ive made. Half of the pictures are custom and half are based on picks on the internet. The small cubee took about 2 hours two hours to make, its actually a mix of two different cubees. The tails modified from the official cubeecraft version of tails (the two tails are now seperate instead of being completely flat) and the rest of it is built from the Archie comics version of Tails created by a guy in deviant art. The bigger papermodel took me 2 days to build and later on i spent arond 3-4 hours stuffing it up with cotton wool to make it last longer. I did a custom paintjob to an Airfix Gladiator mk-1 model witch took me about 6-8 hours to build and paint So now lets get to the KSP side of buissness, aka the Tornado/Tornados that i have created. im not really the a fan of the Tornado 1 and 3 but like the Tornado 2 very much and i also like the X-Tornado for its unique look. Creating the tornado was an obvious choise for me to make in KSP. None of the other Tornados exept for the Tornad 2.5 and the Tornado 5 are really that special for me. The Tornado 2.5 i like cause it looks like the tornado 2 (hence the name) and the Tornado 5 is my all time favourite cause its unique looking and it flyes really well. Before i started to create the tornado in the first place i just had to do one thing, and that was to get myself a Tails flag. After some searching around i found the tails_sheet made by nintendrawer and tought that would be a perfect subject. the pictures were really good and they where small enough that i didnt have to do too much resising at all (if you resize anything with Paint it just becomes a pixelated mishmash ), and now its in almost all of my aircrafts excluding the crappy ones. I do love that picture very much . I have made quite a collection of Tornados and aircrafts that are inspired by the Tornado, so here are some picks of them. Here we have a replika of sorts of the Hyper Tornado seen in season 3 of Sonic-X (above). Here we have the Whirlwind fighter witch is inspired by the transformed version of the Tornado 2 (hence the wing design and the engine placement). Here we have the S-Tornado witch was supposed to be my to go SSTO but since i suck at making them it didnt really work and i ended up converting it to an atmospheric jet. it was inspired by the X-Tornado (wing design and the rearend of the aircraft) and the Tornado 3 (engine pods). Finally below we have the Twin-Tornado, an aircraft that is a mix of the Tornado 5 (engine design), Hyper Tornado (intake design) and a remake of one of my older twin engine aircrafts that unfortunetly broke when the swept wings got a new updated model. Also the wingtips and the elevators got changed toa Tornadoesque style My original idea for this aircraft was to create a heavy fighter of sorts that would be as fast and manouverable as a jet but that never happened. So as you can see ive gotten quite inspired by the Tornados design. After i started flying under the tails flag ive really started to think more carefully that what i design and have really started to sink a lot of time into those designs. for example ive spent about 8 hours in total building, tweaking and polishing the Tornado 5 and about 5-6 hours on the tornado 2.5 (had to fix an issue where the aircraft would go out of control if you more than tapped the S key and me later changing the design and adding the rocket boosters didnt help this problem [COL too close to the COM]). The Tornado 5 was the one thing that inspired me to go and post some of my aircrafts to the KSP forum. plus i think ive become even more of a crazy pilot now. So there you have it folks, my Tails fandom and all the tornados in one big package. I hope you enjoyed reading trough all this nonsense . Links to posts for the Tornado 5 and the X-Tornado Tornado 5:http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/138966-Tornado-5-New-version X-Tornado:http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/136466-The-X-Tornado If you read thru the whole thing, congrats . Well, atleast now i dont have to think that should i or shouldnt i make a post like this on the forums since its done now .
  7. Thanks. And yep, that Is the 747-8 international (I actually have a flight cutaway poster of the thing). But I think my favourite is still the 747-400.
  8. So here is a pick of the new updated version of the 747 (just new engines). As i already mentioned the aircraft flyes really well for its size . I originally didnt try to make an exact replika but more of a 747ish aircraft. Click on the link below to see the aircraft and some others in greater detail. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/136613-Some-noteworthy-passenger-planes-from-my-collection-%28747-707-AWACS-777ish-DC-9-ish-aircraft-etc%29 Download link:https://www.dropbox.com/s/0gglchf53cilmmm/koeing-747%20%28flagless%29.craft?dl=0. (aircraft supplied will be flagless) I hope you enjoy this kspfied version of the jumbojet .
  9. Thanks . mukava nähdä ihmisiä suomesta=nice to see people from finland.
  10. After todays update to 1.0.5 i desided to update the Tornado 5 a little bit since its my all time favourite aircraft (i have been doing aircrafts since 0.18). As you might have quessed the Tornado 5 is supposed to be a followup to the line of Tornado aircrafts designed by tails himself. And what can i say, i still have the most fun ever in KSP when i fly this thing around the KSC since it manouvers around very quickly and responsivly, aka it doesnt feel like it lacks on manouverability nor does it feel like its about to go out of control if i hold S or W down. It unfortunetly is not the fastest thing around but the top speed of around 140-150 m/s is not too bad, plus its a biplane so what can you expect. The desing began when i tought that i should make the new Tornado look more modern and not just like another biplane hence the wing design and the choise of a turboprop engine. This version of the Tornado has a turboprop and jet engines both in use at the same time to increase survivability (even if the turboprop explodes the aircraft can still fly) and speed (no need for a transformed version just to get more speed). The cockpit came together after i tought that if im gonna make a Tornado it needs to be a twin seater aircraft so the Firespitter pack WW1 biplane cocpit was not gonna work so i instead made a custom one. Unfortunetly by doing this i had to sacrifice IVA and be stuck in 3rd person view, but i dont mind. Here are some picks of it in action. In the pick below you can see the cockpit and the technical data of the aircraft. I just love pleasing/annoying the heck out of the KSC staff by doing crazy stunts and crashing half the time due to a small pilot error . (overconfidense FTW ). "Dont worry guys, well be fine" (Miles "Tails" Prower from Sonic-X) "Come one big boy, show me what youve got" (Again Tails from Sonic-X). And here we have a pick of me taking down another enemy aircraft with the special armed version. "AAAA!, NOW THIS IS WHAT I CALL AN EMERGENCY" (again Tails from Sonic-X). Remember when i mentioned the small pilot errors, well this is one of them (tried to pull up but the wing hit the ground). "Hold on, this might get tricky" (again Tails from Sonic-X). After some very tricky flying i managed to land with only losing the turboprop, witch sometimes brakes durning landings cause the propellor is a bit too big and has an actual hitbox so if the nose points down too much it boom time. Here as a bonus i have for you the transformed version. (its uncontrollable) Here is a drawring of the Tornado 5 in the same colours as the Tornado 2 in Sonic-X and Sonic Adventure 2. Wanted to see what it would look like in those colours, and i have to say i think it looks better that way. I drew this picture by basically taping a piece of A3 paper on the screen and having the original screen shot in the background working as a guide of sorts. And finally we have the Flags used in this and other of my aircrafts that you have seen before. And yes i am a big fan of tails hence the reason you see this flag on pretty much everyone of my crafts. It also works a a sort of seal of quality for me, aka i wont be putting this flag on aircrafts that are bad/crap. All credit for the flag goes to nintendrawer of deviantart who made the tails_sheet from witch the pick originates. i just did a 5minute copy and paste job in Paint. Link tothe original one: http://nintendrawer.deviantart.com/art/tails-sheet-151285410 There are currently 3 flags that i use. The first one is the one i use the most, the second one i use more rarely and the final one is actually my own drawring. So there you have it folks, the Tornado 5 and the flags i use. I hope you enjoy it . Mods used: B9, Firespitter, KAX, Flag Decals. Download links: Tornado 5:https://www.dropbox.com/s/k8x15mhuc11tb74/Tornado%205.craft?dl=0 Flags:https://www.dropbox.com/s/w31a7axqwzejfb5/Tails%20flags.zip?dl=0
  11. Here is an aircraft witch im pretty sure you are all familiar with, The DC-3 or in this case the Dakota MK-III. The DC-3 is ofcourse one of the most famous and well known transport aircrafts from the pages of history proving to be a very reliable and well performing aicraft compared to the DC-2 from witch it was created. Dakota was the designation given by the British to the C-47 Skytrain witch was the USAF version of the DC-3. Still to this day the DC-3 continues to operate and could do so for such a long time that it would become the first airliner to operate for a century . Enough about the history, lets get on with the Build itself. I must say that i was able to make the aircraft look suprisingly accurate given the materials at hand. NOTE: I learned a lesson today about building aircrafts in KSP, and that is that dont use I-beams to build planes . The problem being that i beams are really heavy . In this pick you can see the weight of the I-beams and the technical stats of the aircraft. You can see that the aircraft is really heavy. In comparason the JU-52 replika craft that i made (Length:22 m Width:31.7 m) only weights about 25.5 tons. Because of the I-beams that weigh about 30-50 tons total i was forced to do some unwanted engine solutions . It currently has 6 radial engines (3 engines merged together per nacelle) and 4 underwing engines. Even despite the high amount of engines the aircraft has pretty poor flight capabilitys: 1. It takes a long time to be able to take off. 2. I flew the entire flight with S down. 3. Dont even think about landing this thing. 4. This one eats fuel real quick making the range of this one very low. 5. All of this i caused by its slow speed of about 90-100 m/s (Speed required for takeoff is 80 m/s so yea). (New required takeoff speed is 50 m/s) 6. And yes i spent about an hour trying to fix these issues but was unable. EDIT: After some tinkering around i fixed broblems 1, 2 and 3. It still isnt perfect but it works now. So even if its a very good looking aircraft it doesnt work very well because i concentrated too much on the looks and forgot that just how heavy those damn I-beam were . It is still suprisingly fun to fly around if you ask me (cuz good looks). Here are some picks of it in action. Again im using a cockpit instead of command seats for the sakes of IVA. So i hope you enjoy this little replika craft of mine . As reference i used an Italer 1/72 scale model of the Dakota MK-III. Mods used: KAX, Firespitter, B9 aerospace, Prosedural wings, Flag decals V.2.3 Download link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/48jr4vds9ud190j/Dakota%20MK-III%20%28DC-3%20RAF%29%20%28flagless%29.craft?dl=0 (aircraft supplied will be flagless) Links to my other replika projects: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/136727-Junkers-JU-52-Iron-Annie http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/136521-KR-73-Whitebird http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/137066-Kavro-Lankaster-%28dambuster%29 http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/137504-Handley-Page-0-400-replika-%28done-in-0-25%29 PS. i might try to make this aircraft fly better later by maby putting in more hidden canards or something like that. EDIT: Fixed now (mostly)
  12. Thanks . Yea a ramp would be better (could be able to load the vehicles more tightly together) but since you can just drive on it its not really needed. (wanted to make it all stock)
  13. thanks . And yea ive never been a very good writer, trust me, im a better speaker than what i am a writer .
  14. Thanks:). the vehicles themselfs can take quite a beating (probe core, ammo, rtg:s and batterys are all inside the body) but the guns and turrets themselfs are very fragile aka one good hit and the main turret of the tank and the goalkeeper and they are down and out .
  15. So here is the third and final part of my big post, the support vehicles. In the first part i did the KTT-723 Mammut tank transporter and in the second part i did the combat vehicles. So now its time to show off the guys who will always be there to give a little helping hand even when things get a little rough. These units are mostly seen in the rear lines tough since they cant protect themselfs from enemys. Here are the three support vehicles. K114-B Radstat. our mobile radar station for detectin enemys and using that information to help our AA-tanks and artillery units to work with better efficiency. Its just an APC with a radar on the roof and a mast at the back. https://www.dropbox.com/s/gkp9t5eiittyf9q/K114-B%20Radstat.craft?dl=0 KS116 Hauler. you general purpouse supply truck for giving out fuel, ammo and spareparts to troops and vehicles on the front. https://www.dropbox.com/s/0y83w1lq9699h2z/KS-116%20Hauler.craft?dl=0 KS117 Skycrasher. A mobile missile launch platform for taking out anything they can throw at us from a very long range. https://www.dropbox.com/s/iqdqujpvdiytr3r/KS-117%20skycrasher.craft?dl=0 Here are some picks of them in action. "Tune in to the enemy" (Chinas radar truck from C&C Generals Zero hour). "Fuel, ammo, spare parts, anything you want" (British and US supply vehicles from Wargame airland battle). "Look at my beautiful weapon" (Scud launcher from C&C Generals). "Ready for launch" (V-3 laucher from Red alert 2). There you have it folks, a bunch of support vehicles from my collection . Mods used: BD-armoury I hope you enjoy these little creations of mine . Part 1:http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/137915-KTT-723-Mammut-tank-transporter Part 2:http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/137946-A-bunch-of-combat-vehicles
  16. So here is the second part of my big post, the combat vehicles. In the first part i did the KTT-723 Mammut tank transporter and in the third part i will do the support vehicles. In this part i will be going thru four combat vehicles: K1K1 Fabrams. Just your avarage everyday MBT (main battle tank) for taking out your enemys ground vehicles. https://www.dropbox.com/s/qtfhv72rqgib912/K1K1%20Fabrams.craft?dl=0 K1K2 Skycleaner. A very mobile AA-tank with a goalkeeper and a tracking radar for spraying the airspace with iron. https://www.dropbox.com/s/9vxarccao2s3ka4/K1K2%20Sky%20Cleaner.craft?dl=0 K114 Carryall. An APC armed with a Minigun for transporting troops in to the field safely. https://www.dropbox.com/s/ztpgwgi2upsjm8c/K114%20Carryall.craft?dl=0 KH-811 Groundpounder. An SPG for all your indirect combat needs. https://www.dropbox.com/s/8ywkxx774odg5we/KH-811%20Ground%20pounder.craft?dl=0 Here are some picks of them in action. "Attacking" (Soviet Rhino tank from Red Alert 2) After a couple of good hits the Skycleaner is down and out . Tought id take the Skycleaner for a little test and shoot down a real aircraft (seen in the background). Here is a closer shot of the L-808 witch is my unmanned trnsport aircraft witch i use for target practice. Now its time to take it out of the sky . "Thats a hit" (X-Wing fighters from Empire at war). "Scratched one bogey" (Falco Lombardi from starfox 64) "And that i how thats done" (Sniper from Team Fortress 2). "Hold on, this might get tricky" (Miles "Tails" Prower From Sonic-X). And another one bites the dust. So there you have it, four combat vehicles from my collection that do different tasks that have on thing in common and that is that they all like to spend time in the front lines forming an unstoppable force of chaos and destruction. Disclaimer: no kerbals where harmed in the making and testing of these vehicles . Mods used: BD-armoury So i hope you enjoyed these little combat vehicles of mine . And go check out the other parts of this post for more military goodness. Part 1: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/137915-KTT-723-Mammut-tank-transporter Part 3: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/137950-A-bunch-of-support-vehicles-%28all-stock-except-for-BD-armoury%29
  17. I was supposed to include all my military vehicles in one post, all 8 of them but after two tries and 3 hours wasted later , i tought that the post was probably too much for the forum to handle so i will devide these in to two or three posts, first my tank transporter and then the rest in the other posts. Here we have our main prize that inspired me to continue this project, the Mammut tank transporter that i designed for carrying around all sorts of vehicles from rovers to trucks to tanks. It actually doesnt do too bad of a job at it, hitching of the trailer is easy and no complicated cranes or ramp systems are needed to load the vehicles on the flatbed, just drive on it and put the parking brake on and your ready to go . Im genuenly suprised that i was able to make the whole thing work in my first try so no tweaking or redesigning was required . NOTE: there is one major broblem with the truck that i cant fix but you can avoid it really easylly, aka when ever you park the truck and leave your trailer hitched you will find that the trailer of the truck would have merged/clipped in to the back of the truck when you leave to space center so make sure that you do everything in one flight and always remember to detatch the trailer before returning to the space center . Here are some picks of it in action. And this is what happend when some of my tyres from the other side popped and i found my self driving with 4 wheels for bout a minute (right side wheels on ground and left side wheels in the air). Wanted to be a little different and use cockpits instead of command seats (IVA and all that) and turns out it worked real nicely. Gives a lovely view of the surroundings . Here is the Magic hitch of the trailer witch makes this all work. Now its time to put the vehicle in to a real test and see if it can carry an armoured vehicle. All loaded up and ready to go. (can be seen carrying the Groundpounder self propelled gun). The trailer in this one works like a charm, it follows the truck very neatly making this whole thing very manouverable for it size . This is your stop so better bail out. After those tests i tought it might not be a bad idea to also use it as a civilian truck, and from that idea came the box trailer. The one on the picture is sporting custom colours but the one i provided for download will be blank and mod free. Dont really know what the TAT means yet. I even went the extra mile and put some spare tyres and the brake system (brake fluid bottles and fluid lines). Warning: the contents inside are fragile and the box of the trailer is even more fragile aka even the slightest nudge can brake it so be careful when you reverse . So there you have it folks a truck for hauling all kinds of stuff around kerbin . Download links: Mammut:https://www.dropbox.com/s/6oegb32702bibf5/KTT-723%20Mammut%20%28flagless%29.craft?dl=0 (the truck supplied will be flagless) Flatbed trailer:https://www.dropbox.com/s/31j86nmu1ytq7de/Flatbed%20trailer%20%28mammut%29.craft?dl=0 Box trailer:https://www.dropbox.com/s/orfjftiot4r3phm/Box%20trailer.craft?dl=0 (the trailer provided will be blank and mod free) So i hope you enjoy this little creation of mine even if it might be useless in the end . Part 2:http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/137946-A-bunch-of-combat-vehicles Part 3:http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/137950-A-bunch-of-support-vehicles-%28all-stock-except-for-BD-armoury%29
  18. Thanks . yea that is a pretty good way of making big wings but i doesnt really work with the style of wings in the stratolifter, and as i said i do have prosedural wings that i could have used but i wanted to use as few mods as i could (tought it might be nice for shearability), and thats where i fu**d up .
  19. So here we have a couple of really big and over complicated aircrafts that just dont work but wanted to show them off anyway cuz why not . both of these crafts are bigger than the AN-225 Mriya witch should already say a lot of things about them, or not. The other one (Fantonov) was my attempt at creating a big, i mean a stupidly big cargo plane out of wings alone (fuselage and wings), it doesnt look too bad but it just doesnt want to stay together as it behaves like a snake after takeoff . The fantonov was created quite a long time ago in like 0.90 or 0.25 not sure when and its fully stock. The other aircraft on the other hand was built about 30 minutes ago and also suffers from structural issues aka the wings get torn and most of them fall off durning takeoff making flying it impossible . This time i just wanted to recreate one of my favourite desings from the old days but i went too far and made it way more bigger than the original. And yes both of them make my computer cry for mercy. Here are some picks of the aircrafts in the hangar. So first up we have the Fantonov. in the pick below you can see the technical data of the aircraft. Brobably the reason that why the Fantonov ended up being so huge is because i built everything around the cockpit witch was the first part of the plane, so obviously i didnt quite understand that how big the rest of the aircraft needed to be in order for the cockpit to fit/be in scale . But well you cant always win . Next up we have the mighty (grounded) KML Stratolifter, a failed attemt at making a bigger version of one of my favourite aircraft desings. probably could have made it fly really well if i would have used prosedural wings instead of making the wings out of dozens of stock wings and a boatload of struts (would have only needed 3 parts per wing by using prosedural wings instead). I just ended up adding more, more, more and more of struts till i gave up. Again in the pick below you can see the aircrafts technical data. Welcome to the mushroom field of struts also known as the wings . And here is a pick of the original one (i originally took it by accident but its a good thing that i took it) . The original desing (Stratos-5) actually was really good, it flew really well, it was fast and responsive, it had a lot of space and it had a utility bay filled with all kinds of gizmos in between the crewtanks . The only broblem was that i only got to use it for a couple of weeks till 1.0 came along and the completely hidden canards trick didnt work anymore (they need to be exposed to open air these days), aka my canards where most of the time inside cargobays like in this one. also i had to update my mods and the cockpit, cargo-tail and the crewtank models had been changed to a new version . Here is a pick of the utility bay (taken from my steam account) http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=432566649 So there you have it folks, a couple of aircrafts that are too big and ambitious even for me to save/make flyable/make them stay together in general. I hope you enjoyed looking at these aircrafts and i hope this give you some ideas of what not to do in KSP .
  20. Here we have the third and final of my early access survivor aircrafts, the Vulture. This aircraft keeps amazing me still to this day with its amazing lift capacity (capable of lifting 80 tons with a breeze but 100 tons was a bit too much ), it also flyes really smooth and nice and aint too bad in terms of speed after having to go trough engine nerfs and aerodynamical changes (altough i did have to change the under wing engines from the TFE731 turbo fans to the D-30F7 turbojets). I just love the way this aircraft looks, i was inspired by some of the Russian cold-war bomber designs like the M-4 Bison and the TU-104. The flat top of the aircraft ensures maximum mountability for items such as the Buran shuttle or a huge cargo capsule or whatever you wanna use it for. Here are some picks of the aircraft in action. So i hope you enjoyed this beast of an aircraft that i made about 2-3 years ago . Mods used: B9 Aerospace. 21. Thanks . Procedual wings mod was used for making the rounded wingtips.
  22. Thanks:). And yea you cant go too wrong with aircrafts that have boxy fuselages and square shaped wings .
  23. Here is for you a true survivor, one of my only aircrafts that has survived from early access to beta to full release (only 3 remain from the early access days ). Anyway moving on, the aircraft is still one of my best flyers even despite the aerodynamic changes and the engine nerfs and still looks the same as it did back then even if some of the stock and modded parts have changed shape and colour. So here are some picks of the aircraft. So i hope you enjoy this little WW1 veteran in ksp form .
