  1. The problem with that is that I don't think it was ever proposed. The S-IVb had the whole, make it a habitat thing, but I don't think S-IV ever had something planned for habitat space. Even for proposed S-IV based space station, the stage wasn't used as hab space. However, if you can find anything like that from real life, I'm sure it could be made.
  2. It takes a lot of practice. Be prepared to have to retry multiple times to get a feel for trajectories for re-entry, attitudes for re entry and movement, and altitudes for doing certain maneuvers. Your mission at first isn't to land at the KSC, it is to land with as much of the shuttle intact.
  3. Are you using the built in antenna or a starting antenna? While it isnt a sounding rocket, you should launch it on a rocket like Etoh or Viklun. The built in antenna shouldn't eat up the battery, but I can see a stock or other BDB antenna being more than willing to chew through it like a flip flop in a lawn mower.
  4. Go to the first page of the topic > Link buttons> Under Roadmap on the right. Note, that is the development link, so things have changed that can and will break crafts.
  5. Just the top hatch, however there will be a crew cabin for 1 Or 2 kerbals. As well as an Airlock that could go into the cargo bay for doing some satellite repair. I haven't sorted out all of the different expansions, but they will come after the first release of x-20. I will be doing a B-52 before I revisit X-20, that way I'm already prepared to make x-15.
  6. Ok, reason to actually use the gif. Redid the textures on the cockpit, much better in my opinion. I need some thoughts for the hatch, any ideas?

  8. You go to the seams for the islands you want, mark them, and then when you mark the whole object, hit U and then select unwrap. Made that model as an example. Only 1,670 faces, which I'm sure could have been reduced if the tubes I made didn't have so many faces.   9. Looks great! I might recommend reducing the polygon count on your engine bell, it doesn't need that many sides. 24 sides is a great start for more prominent things and can be decreased as you get into more detail. For example the sphere that some pipes lead into. When you smooth the object, the faces wont appear much if at all. You should also separate things into different objects. The engine bell should be a different part from the top of the engine. The spheres should be two different parts. The different pipes would be different objects. I'm sure there is more to say, but I can't think of anything right now. Great first model! If you want, I could make an engine similar to this with the improvements as an example and send it to you.

  11. To the extent of my knowledge, Vinci capsule is getting an IVA, but Beale isn't done with it yet. I hear fasa gemini IVA works well as a place holder. Hermes may or may not remain just the stock mk1 IVA. This is based on if cobalt ever feels like making one, and he probably won't make one. I don't know about Apollo, so just stay tuned.
  12. Some basic progress on X-20 textures. The cockpit is the only thing unwrapped at this point, but its looking pretty good.
  13. Hey look dyna soar! I'm going to attempt to make and finish the landing gear today, as well as fixing the rcs ports that I improperly made.
  14. I don't have a thread, everything is based in the BDB thread atm. I will get a thread when I put something in game, whether it's a rcs thruster or a cockpit. Say, if you are looking for medium shuttles, look here. Look on different pages, there are tons of designs that come from every crazy mind at the aerospace companies.
