  1. Has anyone made a RSS/RO config for this gem yet? If not and if help is wanted I would be happy to.
  2. I remember back when the KSP homepage had this quote right up on top. "Kerbal is awesome!" - Elon Musk I think the only real question here is WHY GOD WHY WAS IT REMOVED? Dunno seems like endorsement and praise from one of the most relevant living people in the field should be framed and hung on the wall for...forever. ヽ(/͠°ᴥ┐͡ ͠°)ノ
  3. also check out the RSS/RO IRC chat (connection info found on the main post of the RSS/RO thread) 24/7 there are a good number of armchair rocket scientists, RSS/RO enthusiasts, and mod devs chilling in there, many of whom are happy to answer questions or point you to the proper reading material.
  4. was my first thought too, that or a joystick mod since the problem must obviously be something that has the ability for control input after about 15 hours of headache i have confirmed in multiple installs that it is indeed the FAR stability assists still being active once you are in space. Turn them off and GGWP. Can i have the last two days i spent after work raging at the problem back please?
  5. Amazing mods man! The this and the ALCOR/ERS have been my favorite mods by far, I design every mission I do to be completely IVA and these are the first fully functional IVA's I have seen for KSP. I have a few questions/ideas if you don't mind though. 1. Is there anyway to turn off the master alarm? I get it going off at really dumb times sometimes while i'm still in a stable orbit and i have to turn game sound off cause it is so loud (idea) maybe there could be a switch IVA to turn the sound off and just have the light flash? 2. I always play with RSS/RO. Is it possible to edit the config files so that the fuel displays work with whatever fuel you are using with RealFuels? If so which config file so I can try that out. (idea: when selecting the type of fuel for the craft's RCS to use in VAB that could switch the fuel monitors to that fuel) 3. What program did you make these with? I really want to get into modding now after seeing this work and design IVA's of my own. I doubt I would still play KSP if it were not for your advanced IVA remakes I think it makes it such a cooler game! I would love to be able to make IVA's for a lot of the other parts that don't have detailed ones yet. 4. One of the things I would love to do once i learn how to mod IVA's for example be able to add a monitor that showed engine status with RSS/RO RealFuels (used to be engine igniter and there was a Raster's screen for it) but now it is part of RealFuels and there's no longer any way to monitor if your engines are unstable, stable ect, or how many ignitions you have left from IVA. 5. With RealFuels you can change the fuel type of the RCS on the ALCOR pod, to match the fuel of your craft. But on your Mk1-2 Redesign you have to use MMH/NTO which can be a pain if your craft uses a different fuel. I assume this is because you designed the ALCOR from the ground up, as opposed to just redesigning the interior of the default pod. Not sure how hard it would be to add that feature to the pod, but it would definitely be really helpful! Anyway thanks for the awesome mods man! Top quality work.
  6. does anyone know how to get this to work on Ubuntu? the above does not do anything. I know that you have to use Right shift instead of alt but I have tried every combination, and even tried editing the key binding in the settings file in the mod folder. This is an essential mod, without it my design work flow is extremely gimped! :s any help much appreciated. (EDIT) I see now that even when I changed the config file to change the key binding to Left Control and Left Shift, it changes back when the game starts and if i re open the config file my saved changes are no longer there. One of my all-time favorite building mods I really hope I can figure this out. Does anyone know if there is some feature on ubuntu that is like "run as admin" on windows that could be interfering? Innitially my edit is saved though it only changes back upon game launch so I have a feeling the mod is resetting it's config each launch for some reason.
  7. My game crashes every time i try to revert to VAB or return to space center. Error logs say it's running out of memory but i am running on a fast gaming computer with aggressive active texture management and open GL. Never did this in .90 any ideas?
  8. Greetings! This is still an early WIP but many updates are sure to come! Have been working on this for several months now. Specifically I am going to re launch everything and film it for a video inspired by the artistic works of Chris P Bacon and Von Ziegendorf. Currently every time i try to land on the moon the infamous kracken gobbles my ship up as it falls through the surface and explodes. Still trying to figure that out but the station core, super heavy lift vehicle, crew transfer/module transfer vehicle, and lander are functioning. Hundreds of test flights and many incarnations of this project have flown, and I'm sure there will be plenty more! Everything is designed to be 100% flyable using ALCOR/RasterPropMonitor. I really want the IVA capsule form near future spacecraft but their release page only has it for .25 and 1.0. Will probably try to get that working anyway. RSS/RO for .90 and all it's pre-req mods, remote tech, IVA with RasterPropMonitor, Hullcam VDS, ALCOR, Scan Stat, Vessel View, Karbonite AthenaSLHV (SuperHeavyLaunchVehicle) An RP-1 fueled saturn 5 main stage with 8 five segment SRB's. (I know asparagus liquid fueled boosters would be much more efficient I have done that in the past. I really wanted this rocket to have a full ring of SRB's inspired by the 5 booster variant Atlas V. Stage 1 sep happens with 50 seconds left on the F-1 engine stage. 3rd stage is a massive hydrogen/lox cryo tank with 9 RD-0120 Energia/Buran engines. 4th stage used for last bit of orbit burn and trans lunar injection has 3 RD-0120's. Both the 3rd and 4th stages starting TWR is around .88 depending on payload and each has 4.5kishDV with heavy payloads. The station core consists of an Alcor command module, NTO/MMH tank, Aerozine50/MMH tank, Life Support tank/systems, Observation module, solar/battery/probecore/antennas, 2 centrifuges spinning in opposite directions to cancel each other, and a docking hub with 4 ports as well as one of each end of the station. It is launched into a 200kmish LEO with just under half fuel in it's 4th stage. It is then met by a Apollo+Centrifuge1 which because the lighter payload has more fuel in it's 4th stage, and is refueled. From there the 4th stage does the trans-lunar injection burn and most of the capture/orbital positioning, saving the apollo for final burns and station OMS. Further additions to the station are launched directly to the moon and rendezvous in lunar orbit. The crew transfer vehicle Apollo also serves as a tug for payloads headed to the moon. By it self it has over 5kdv and the service module is remote controllable and capable of undocking/redocking with the bottom of the command module so it may be interchanged or left in orbit after capsule de orbit. Currently has 8 external tanks that are planned to be asparagus drop tanks. The lander is the AlcorSoyuz. Holds 5 designed to be crewed by 2-3. Long term life support systems, RTG's and solar panels, 16 karbonite drills to refuel the 5kdv lower stage with an optional MMH/NTO upper stage with 2.5kdv.
