  1. I havent played for quite a while, basicly cause I gave up when Kraken would shake my ship to shreads after tons of work and preperations. I come back now and find out that "RCS Build Aid" isnt supported any longer. In my opinion this should definately be in the stock game. I shouldn't have to eyeball RCS for my space hubs, try them out only to go back to the drawing table, adjust and then repeat.. There are just certain types of mods that this game requires in order to work properly and there are some like mechjeb that definately shouldnt be.
  2. Having this issue in 1.2.2.1622 Using Kerbal Planetary Base system mod
  3. Tex, I followed your instructions and you are very much correct about the struts. They are there. What are these 'autostruts'? Are they on all landing legs?
  4. I tried moving my other lander to a different port along the long fuel line and then docked, that seemed to do the trick. I'm still curious to what is going on though!
  5. Here's a video of what happens: http://sendvid.com/lwddl3xu I'm not using any struts. I'm wondering if it's something to do with my construction regarding the hub with the docking ports that's its unstable. I believe I used the smallest metal-frame in the middle of it. I tried this time without SAS but it doesn't seem to be affecting at all.
  6. Hi After returning from the Mun's surface to dock at my Munar space station the whole station starts swinging back and forth. It gets so bad that it started to break up and cause explosions. What I find odd is that it was fine when I left. The first time it happened I noticed I had all my 'lights on' and on the dark side I lost battery power and thus couldn't power my SAS. However the second time this wasnt an issue and I have no idea what is causing it. The station is built with a module in the middle with 6 docking ports facing all different directions. I've then docked from all sides with fuel tanks and science labs etc. I tried turning my RCS on to counter it but it doesn't seem to be helping at all. Anyone have any ideas on what could be the issue?
  7. Ok. I haven't been doing any correction burns. I figured it was all the same once I make Duna's SOI and the insertion burn would be dependant on my timing. If it's possible to hit Duna with 600dV I've been doing it all wrong. I'll try to do some correction burns to fine-tune my approach. Thanks for the help everyone
  8. I think I spent around 2200 including leaving Kerbin orbit which would be 950 so that would put me pretty close to 1100. But for me to put my PE inside Duna's atmosphere wouldnt that require me to first make the insertion burn?
  9. I used kerbal alarm clock to tell me when to leave for Duna so I had a pretty efficient burn to get there. But I wasnt expecting such a costly insertion burn. If I want to aerobreak I need to add another 100 dV which isnt bad but by that time I've used up too much already. Does my insertion burn depend on where I hit Duna's influence?
  10. Is there a way to achieve orbit around Duna without spending 2400 dV? I'm launching from Kerbin and hit Duna with an escape trajectory and to achieve orbit it takes 2400 to get a stable orbit. Is there anyway I can aim to reduce this cost?
