  1. I know... I landed there once... I'm more worried about poles than anywhere else. But it's the best way to hit every egg and also circumnavigate.
  2. I changed my mind... Not but entering, just about Eve. I did the math quick to get Eve's circumference.... wow! I honestly don't want to drive that far, or strand anyone on Eve. But after thinking about it, I realized something I haven't done yet in my career game is to find all the Easter Eggs on the Mun. Found most all the rest in the solar system, even the Dead Kraken. But the Mun I've only found the Armstrong memorial. There are 7 more I haven't seen.... yet. So I'm gonna do my version of the Elcano challenge with a slight twist. Start at the Armstrong memorial (since I have a flag there already I can target to land), circumnavigate the Mun, and visit all the other Easter Egg sites along the way. I know more or less where the other ones are, and I think I can plot a route that will also satisify the challenge. I'll keep a log.

Agreed. I have learned so much science and physics from Scott's videos. Knowing his dad is one of the big reasons he got into Science makes me feel I've learned from him as well, if even if it was indirectly. I so very sorry for your loss.
  4. OK, I'm trying kill time until 1.0.5 comes out anyway, and I have a rover on Eve already... one of my best designs. Right now she's exploring remotely, but she has 3 seats. If it needs to be manned, I see no real problem sending a crew out tomorrow. I'm in.
  5. Absolutely!!! Press to button to become any Star Wars character you wish.... but your stuck in Revenge of the Sith... heeehehehe
  6. Yeah, scatter should give you the spiky rocks. I planted a flag where I tool that screenshot, the location is 7-39-55S by 73-41-26W. It seemed an innocent enough valley from orbit... yeah. Upon further exploration it turns out most of Pol looks like this.
  7. Oh, your not the only one. Here is a picture of my flagship, the Annabel Lee docking with the Annabel Lee MkII high over Jool. Why did I need an MkII you ask??? Because I forgot one stupid gasline.... opps.... lol
  8. Ahhh, I grew up in upstate NY.... I remember road salt well. Nasty stuff for cars. Thank you for the flute comment. I have some really pretty ones. If I ever get the software to record KSP vids, I'll make some music videos with flutes and synthesizers.
  9. You just made me realize, mine would have to be salt... if it qualifies as a chemical... I'm a salt-a-holic way more than sugar
  10. Screwing around with new SSTO designs.... but I really wish I had a new Mk3 cargo hatch to play with.... lol...
  11. I don't know if I posted a picture in this thread or not yet... gettin' old... lol... hope I'm not repeating myself... This is my KSC rover, for collecting science around the space center: And this is Kirby, my explorer rover. This little bad-S rover is remarkably fast, yet stable. She's my best rover design by far, and even got some air on the dunes of Laythe, without blowing a tire.
  12. You can move the node itself around the orbit (or sub-orbit in your pic). Left-click and hold the center circle of the node to move it where you want. This should help you get a circlular orbit
  13. Not sure if this one counts, but this is my super-heavy explorer lander. She's built to land, collect all the science available, refuel and take off for another biome.
  14. I redesigned one of mine yesterday to hold 10 passengers. She's designed to just make it into a 100K orbit before the fuel runs out. Then I can use an orbital shuttle to transfer passengers and fuel to get her back home
  15. Definitly the Nerv... they're the backbone of all my interplanetary ships
  16. Wenn Sie Bremsen sind, ist Ihre Navball zum Ziel gesetzt? Meine Vermutung ist, dass es may have been set Umlaufbahn. Hoffe, dass dies korrekt übersetzt
  17. OK, I've seen a few weird things, but the weirdest was this scary black spot on Ike... When I planted a flag there I named it Kraken's Swamp.
  18. Pol??? You are definitely brave! I landed on Pol once, and I still have nightmares! I can't imagine driving a rover thru this!
  19. I'm going to wait and see. Honestly, I didn't think I would like the last Mad Max movie, and the first 15 minutes or o I didn't... but once it got going I was totally sucked in and ended up loving it... We'll see.......
  20. I also totally agree!!! I use both heavy rockets and spaceplanes. Depends on the mission contract.
  21. Only space plane windows light up... why don't capsules and hitchhiker windows light up??? It would look SO COOL on a space station if all the windows were lit....
  22. OK... how did I miss that???? Thank you!
