  1. That was one of the main reasons I bought the game from the KSP store after initially getting it on Steam. One thing I prefer about the Steam version, though, is that with the correct knowledge and tools, any version from 0.19 onwards can be downloaded from the Steam servers.
  2. I just received a reply to my support e-mail saying "The maintenance has concluded and the KSP Store is back online". Although it seems to still be down, this might mean it's coming back today (The e-mail was sent about 15 minutes ago)
  3. Can you access either the store or your account? For me, all the other parts of the site have been up this whole time. However, if I click either "store" or "account", I get redirected to the maintenance page.
  4. I didn't mean "quick n dirty". Maybe trivial wasn't the best word to use, but things can be done bare-bones and still be done properly. Some companies even have things like that ready to deploy in case of emergencies. (which is more what I meant, not throwing something together last minute) Otherwise I agree with everything you said. Especially the part about us not being there, so we can't really comment on what they should or shouldn't be doing. I guess I'm just thinking about this in a "it would have been nice" kind of way. They'll get it back up eventually
  5. That's a fair point. Still, it would have been trivial to put up a bare-bones login area to enable people to still download the game while they work on the site. While for me, personally, it's not a huge deal since I also have the game on Steam, I still kind of agree with dlrk. What if their computer died and they lost all their backups?
  6. It seems that it has been down at least since Friday. I sent an e-mail to support yesterday and I'm hoping they'll have time to answer soon. (or preferably, finish their maintenance)
