  1. Hello, Galileo!

    Firstly, let me thank you for your great work on GPP and other adjacent mods. They are great!

    Secondly, I have a question. In the GEA thread

    you asked the author to remove any of your textures from their pack. Did they? Im asking because we're about to ban this pack in our local KSP community as it violates many of the KSP community rules (as far as I believe).

      I haven’t actually checked in a long time. Someone said he removed everything and that it doesn’t violate licenses anymore. If so, that’s great, but I can’t be bothered to download and install his pack and check. I have heard he just rips a bunch of textures from Space Engine now. But thanks for the kind words! Glad you like the mods!

    Okay, because it's the holiday season, I'll drop another hint: it's a project I've been working on non-stop for several days now. It's already working in-game, but I'll have to fine tune some settings before release. The mod aims to stand alongside TextureReplacer, EnvironmentalVisualEnhancements and Scatterer.

      Ok cool, just wondering because I’m not using TR or TRR ever again after Sigma Replacements came out. Dunno if TR will be a requirement. That’s my only concern.

  9. Hello!

     

    I installed your pack and loved it from map view. Started playing and experienced lag. I'm on a mac. Boooo. Read your disclaimer. I'm wondering why it's slow on macs, this is the first quality planet pack i've experienced this with. I wish I were a programmer so I could assist.

     

    Anyways, just wanted to say excellent work and maybe if I upgrade my computer soon I'll be able to enjoy visiting your worlds and not just admiring them from afar!

      In the next update there will not be a mac and Linux version. I have fixed the issue with OpenGL and DDS textures so GPP will use a significantly lower amount of ram for those systems. I'm not saying the performance will be any better, but if your game is laggy due to your processor being stressed, then it will help tremendously. I hope it will solve your lag. 

  10. Where it's an version for KSP 1.2 of Play you way?

FYI, I recommend you grant Astronomer attribution for the Jool texture if it is his in your pack, and update the OP to document it.  I would also recommend making your own Jool texture as soon as you are able, and then updating your pack with that texture, removing Astronomer's, and then removing the attribution.

  13.       I have already started the process of making my own. And I have some older ones that I made that I could already throw in there. I don't want to have to attribute  anything to him if I don't have to

  14. Let me know if you have any problems with the EVE port - SVE is what I use normally (the EVE city lights are horrid).

    I gather you've taken over the maintenance of StockVisualEnhancements. Congratulations! I would very much like to get SVE listed in CKAN properly. We had a good set of metadata at a couple of points in time, but quite significant structural changes kept breaking our metadata. For now, SVE is completely delisted. 

    Would you be happy for SVE to be back on CKAN? If so, I'd like to discuss what we can do to make CKAN install SVE correctly in the future.

      hmm well I just started the dl for SVE and I'm seeing this?kDtiFF0.png

      I don't know if you are just referencing the low res. version for the sunflare or not but it looks like its downloading 2 different versions of sve at once

      ok so I just tried the medium and low DLs and they don't seem to be DLing like that. so I would have to assume that the High resolution version would be messed up due to this :(

      Strange.  I haven't tried the ckan version but maybe that's causing it?  Typically that happens when a texture or normal map is called on in kopernicus but it's missing in the directory folder.  I'll have to try the ckan version to double check

      Or,  have you downloaded the mod straight from spacedock? 

      OR lol,  what kind of system are you working on?

      Yes it's a replacement for the texture replacement

      I split everything up into 2 mods as I'm sure you know and got rid of some mods that weren't absolutely required.  Hopefully this can make the process for you easier

      if it uses scatterers sunflare plugin then yes its broken :/ black rack should be updating this weekend though
