My problem isn't the skirt sticking. Mine's aerodynamic. I was using a Heinlein phrase to describe the stack swapping ends at max-q. About 2.5g which is a touch before staging. If I stage early I lose control authority and the same thing happens. So in my career, the Atlas failed and the Titan went into service instead. So far I have yet to get a Mercury into orbit. The Titan 1 is just short of making it.

I dont know if you know this, or have the HDD space, but with KSP being DRM-free, you *can* quickly make a fresh, stock KSP install in a seperate folder, install *only* the mod you want to test, *with any required dependency mods*, and give that a go... Genreally means quicker load times, and results in moar reliable verification of issues with said mod, and eliminates *other* mods that might conflict, as issues.

I'm aware of that. I should do that too just for testing as you explain.

Granted there havent been many recent posts discussing usage or issues in 1.6.1 or 1.7.3, but that can also be taken as good news that it just might work in either version.
Most likely, if the mod *didnt* work in 1.6.1/1.7.3, I'm sure someone would have posted something already.

Either of you could have tried it, and decently given it a test run, and posted back, that "Hey, this *does* work in 1.6.1/1.7.3..."
Actually, it would have been nice if *anyone* else attempting it in those versions, before now had posted that they had or had not had any issues in moar current KSP versions than what the mod is officially last listed as supporting.

That's a good point. But the reason I ask is because it takes me 20 mins to load KSP so testing things is tedious. I was merely wondering if someone already had tested it.

I am having a heck of a time with the Mercury/Atlas falling off it's tail. I don't remember having this much trouble in the past. I'm running FAR if that makes a difference.

The realnames patches has a NEEDS[BDB_RealNames] which means either a folder called BDB_RealNames needs to exist in Gamedata or another patch somewhere needs to decalare :FOR[BDB_RealNames]

It needs to be in it's own folder inside gamedata? I've got it in the real names folder inside a patches folder inside BDB. I've also got the saturn resacle the same way and that works.

On a semi-related note, @Sigma88 I have a rather unsatisfying conclusion to the case of the floating KSC. I've been teaching myself a lot of MM syntax the past couple of days and decided it would be best to start over my install from scratch with a few proper patches in one folder instead of trying to sort out the insane house of cards it had become. A couple of hours later, and I installed SD/Rescale to find it working perfectly. Still don't know why it happened, but at least it's fixed. Thanks again for your help with the Vall bug

Score. @Sigma88 Using a clean install of just AKR and the supporting mods, and adding your one line to the Vall.cfg, I successfully got a 2.5x AKR using Rescale! and SD. I do not have a floating KSC like @DeliciousPi had so he must have had another mod or patch conflict.

try removing SD and RESCALE, then go to GameData/AlternisKerbolRekerjiggered/ and delete the folder called "Cache"

let me know if KSP loads fine like that, or if it has issues

I had removed SD and rescale and it loaded fine the other day. I did not delete anything though.

That file is not enough for me to figure out what the issue is about, there's a guide in my signature that will tell you all the files I need to help you.

First of all, please confirm that your install loads fine without SD then you can move on to generate all log files with SD installed and upload them

That should be all the logs and other things you need. The only Sigma mod I have in there is dimensions. This is KSP 1.7.3 and it does load without Dimensions and Rescale! As soon as I add those it fails to finish loading the game. I'll be out of town til Sunday so I won't be able to make any tests.

More likely that one was unrelated but more noticeable. I could see the MM errors on the screen and assumed that was the issue. I thing the other one was always there and was the actual problem.

I just rolled back to 4.0.2 and did not get any MM errors but it still hung on loading after the music started but before the menu loaded. Same as before.

I just looked at the main log file and I'm getting a crap ton of nullrefs from Kopernicus.

I can't guarantee it without giving it a longer look, but it's worth a try

give me ten and I can post an excerpt of my MM log. It looks like most of the errors might be a rescale issue not necessarily an SD issue.

I just did a clean install with the minimum mods to load this planet pack and it worked, then I added SD and rescale. Got a crap ton of MM errors and it failed to load. Looks like an easy rescale ain't gonna happen.

I'm trying to figure out if I can rescale Alternis Kerbol to 2.5x. So far I am not having any luck. I have tried using a Rescale! config on top of Sigma Dimensions but I get a failure to finish loading. What am I doing wrong?
