  1. I don't believe a thread like this already exists, sorry if it does. What's your favorite Space related song(s). It doesn't have to be a song purely about space, just a few lines with space related terms is enough, as long as you can give some reason. See the examples below. I'm not sure how popular this will become, but I'll try to manage a collective list of the songs everyone submits in the post just below this one. Example of a song about space: Title: Space Oddity Artist: David Bowie Genre: Soft Rock Reason: It's a song about space... Example of a song with space related Lyrics: Title: Second Chance Artist: Shinedown Genre: Soft Rock/Acoustic Reason Lyrics: "I Just saw Halley's Comet...Even the man in the moon disappeared, Somewhere in the stratosphere" Example of a song not about space but is still related somehow: Title: I don't wanna miss a thing Artist: Aerosmith Genre: Rock Reason: Popular song from the Armageddon Soundtrack Example of a bad submission: Title: Sandstorm Artist: Darude Genre: Techno/Trance Reason: Because I love this song. - - - Updated - - - Rock Soft Rock/Acoustic Rap/Hip Hop Comedy/Other [Explicit lyrics]
  2. Here you go. And good call testing it with landed craft. It looks like it affects them as well. That save has both orbiting and landed craft, with physicsless parts as root, ready to dock. I also found that this bug doesn't only affect the AGU, but it can be recreated when undocking with normal docking ports as well. Here's a save with 2 craft with the Clamp-O-Tron Docking Port Jr. ready for docking to show that the bug affects more than just the AGU. Steps to recreate: From the tracking station select a craft that can dock (For PreDock save: "Test AGU" or "Test Rover" | For PreDock2 save: "Test Dock Jr Orbiter" has RCS, but both craft have docking ports.) Dock the craft to the other nearby craft. Go to Space Station Re-select the same craft you just docked Release/Undock the AGU/Docking Port
  3. You guys are probably tired of hearing from me about this at this point, but I think I've got it. There is a property for parts called "PhysicsSignificance" that can be found in the .cfg file for some parts. If it's set to 1 the part is considered Physicsless - described here. The wiki page actually states that "When constructing a craft, the root part can't be such a part." However the game still allows for some of these parts to be the root. FL-A5 Adapter being one of them. BZ-52 Radial Attachment Point is another Physicsless part that can be set to the root, and I recreated my steps using that part as root and the issue occurred again. What actually happens is the root part detaches from the rest of the craft, and the rest of the craft accelerates away. I'm confident that the issue will occur when any part with PhysicsSignificance = 1 is root, and you follow the steps I provided. Now I can stop obsessing about this and get back to playing the game I hope this was helpful.
  4. Swapped out the "FL-A5 adapter" for the "Rockomax Brand Adapter 02" and set it to root, no issue.
  5. On my new craft I made during testing before I changed the root to the FL-A5 adapter, root happened to be the FL-T800 Fuel Tank, which had no issue. What do you consider a non-controllable part? Anything that doesn't have a right-click menu? If so, I don't believe I've tried anything else but the FL-A5 adapter. I'll see if I can test a few at some point tonight. Were you guys able to recreate the issue with the saves I've provided, or by following the steps I gave? I'm just wondering if this is a universal bug, or if it's just me.
  6. I did a bit more testing, trying to recreate the issue with a brand new craft of similar design. It appears that the issue occurs on unmanned craft that have a AGU and an FL-A5 Adapter. Also the FL-A5 adapter must be set as the root. As I was attempting to recreate the issue making my new craft more and more like the old craft with the issue, it was only after I made the FL-A5 adapter the root (from the VAB), that the issue began to occur. I also tried swapping some of the parts around (including the adapter) on the same craft, but leaving FL-A5 adapter as root, and the issue still occurred. In both cases I was docked to the final stage of a fairly simple manned craft. It's important that the craft that doesn't have the AGU, has focus after the release. I don't understand how that logic works exactly, but it seems like it gives manned craft precedence. So docking to a manned craft will do the trick. Also, here's a much smaller save file than what I provided in the previous post. The issue can be recreated by selecting the only craft in the tracking station, selecting fly, and then releasing the AGU. Steps to recreate the issue from scratch: Launch any manned craft and get it into orbit. I used this, trying to keep it as simple as possible: Test Orbiter Launch a craft that meets the criteria described in the first paragraph of this post. Here are the 2 I used: Test AGU Orbiter and Test AGU Orbiter 2 Dock the craft from step 2 to the craft from step 1 using the AGU Go to the space center (this is required) Click tracking station Select the craft you just docked Release the AGU
  7. Here's the save file and the log file after recreating the issue. Steps to recreate after loading the save file: From the tracking station select "Mun Lander Alpha" and then click "Fly". Right click on the AGU (only one on the craft) and select "Release". In terms of recreating the issue from scratch, I'll have to work on that and get back to you. Prior to installing the ModuleManager and StockBugFixModules, I was not using, and never have used, any mods for KSP. Thanks! I'm looking forward to being a member of this great community!
  8. Thank you for your response. Unfortunately after installing this mod, the issue still exists. Will this mod only affect newly created craft?
  9. I'm running version: v1.0.4.861 on Windows 7 64bit, using Steam I had a lander that was stranded in orbit around Mun, another craft with an AGU docked with it, to bring it back to my Orbital Station. Upon arrival at the station, when I attempt to release the AGU so the lander can dock at the station, the craft with the AGU releases from the craft, and the lander has focus. However the AGU snaps off the other craft and starts floating away at a faster than normal rate. The AGU also still responds to controls even though it is not in focus. Other issues follow, which can be better explained by watching the below video. This is a screenshot of the 2 docked craft. I have the out_put.log, the original craft files (pre-launch), and the affected save file, but since they're fairly large I didn't paste them here.
