  1. Same problem here...I can't do "Crew Report" from capsules anymore. I thought it might be the DMagic plugin but the problem is still there when I uninstalled it...seems to be linked to the BD Mod.
  2. Hey, maybe you could add that colour scheme to all your parts. A tank with blue redstone stripes might look nice.
  3. Another interesting bug...when I install your mod, all my available contracts disappear??? Spent the past few hours doing a fresh install and replicated the bug as soon as I installed the BD folder - uninstall and they start working again. I'm confused???
  4. Looking good Hey, is tweakscale a dependency...I get three errors for your mod as mod manager loads something about tweakscale confg???
  5. Sorry USP is short for "Unique Selling Point" - what sets your mod apart from others. Good news about the fuel tank...interestingly with your PGM engine and two FLT-800's I can make an Ap of about 186km...just shy of Alan Shepard's real altitude of 189 aboard Freedom-7. Hmm probes... Vanguard and Pioneer both looked quite interesting (very Sputnik like)
  6. Love the work so far. My only gripe i have is the FL-800 fuel tanks to build a redstone require a bit of a grind to unlock...and that isnt your fault. Maybe later down the line you might consider making a scaled fuel tank? Hey, maybe your mods USP is making low tech solutions for the early nodes in the tech tree. If you ever need a beta tester for the Mercury stuff...ME ME ME!!
  7. Gee, i thought i was the only one to give my Kerbals backstorys... In my mind Jeb and Val are veteran pilots who flew in Gene's squadron during the great war - flying black ops missions to secure Werner and his research at the conflicts end. After the war jeb became a Richard Branson / Steve Fossett type figure who flies experimental planes to break records and promote Jebs Junkyard. Bill/Bob are his long suffering chief engineer and lead scientist. Gene and Val are contractors working for Rockomax and are recruited by the early KSP to develop rockets with Werner. To boost support for the project they bring Jeb and Co on board. I actually thought about doing a fanfic of this, but i spend too much time on KSP to write it...plus im my own worst critic. I do have three books in print though
  8. I stand corrected, the engines are the same size but seem to be different models.   9. It looks pretty good to me, definately needs a bigger engine. On my stock build I use a Skipper and two LV-30's for the boosters...that sort of scale. Looking forward to this
  10. Cool, im using a stock built atlas and the 2.5 rockomax jumbo makes it look like it binged at an all-you-can-eat :-s
  11. How about a stockalike Mercury-Atlas, seeing as you already have the Redstone engine. A Redstone fuel tank would be nice to go with the engine too. Looking forward to more science parts ðŸ˜Å
  12. I've been keeping a keen eye on this thread, its one of the best modelled i have seen. As a sidenote i prefer older tech to the newerstuff...i get more pleasure out of flying a replica Mercury-Atlas than i would an SLS...and all this talk of old cameras has got me excited. Maybe you could add a filter so the pictures look grainy. Eagerly looking forward to see what comes next ☺

Hi, would anybody be willing to throw together a simple Retro Pack (the one that slots beneath the pod), Vernier Engine and Escape Tower that will work with the OMSK variants of the Redstone and Atlas. I've just started using OMSK (FASA was too heavy for my laptop to cope) and these aren't included. I did find a craft file on the web for one but it uses Sepratrons and other components that aren't available until later in the tech tree - by which time I've usually started using the Mk 1-2 pod. Much appreciated. Paul
  14. Fellas, Until one hour ago I had never left the Kerbin SOI...now thanks this Mod I paid a little visit to Duna and got home in time for Tea and Medals. :-) I loved the TV show and will be following this mod avidly. Keep up the good work :-D
  15. Hi everybody, first time poster here. I've been playing KSP for the past couple of months and have finally gotten a nice balance of mods that I like (MechJeb, Final Frontier, State Funding, KCT, ScanSat, OMSK to name a few) and it got me thinking about what else I would like to see in the game and ended up with quite an extensive list. "Hey, I'll have a go at making my own mod...how hard can it be?" I thought to myself. As it turns out...VERY damn hard. I take my hat off to all of you - but it is completely beyond me. There are a couple of features I thought of that I would really like to see...I'm going to list some ideas below and I was wondering if you could point me in the direction of a mod that already does it, or in the perfect world help me create it (lots of hand holding and full credit goes to you of course) So, my ideas. (Please feel free to add/critique as you see fit or ideally tell me if it is possible) 1) Pilot Progression System - Pilots and crew need to complete a sub-orbital flight and reach Level One to earn their "Kerbonaut Status" before they are allowed to pilot a rocket in orbit. (I've been roleplaying this with the OMSK Redstone :-) ). Pilots can be assigned to positions depending on their experience (Pilot, Command Pilot, Mission Commander) 2) Awards and Accolades. I know Final Frontier does this but I was reading the Wiki entry on John Glenn and followed the link to the NASA Awards page and realised there are quite a few medals available for Astronauts. Whilst Jeb was my "First Kerbal in Space" I don't think he should get a ribbon for it...rather a separate accolade and keep the ribbons for the really Epic stuff, like completing his tenth successful mission. 3) Perhaps linked to items 1&2 - a detailed Kerbonaut record that is viewable in game. I would love to know that Jeb served as "Pilot on Kerbal One" or that Bob served as "Mission Specialist on Kerbal Two" - again Final Frontier does this but I would prefer something more in-depth. 4)Meaningful Part Testing - getting contacts to "kerbal-rate" my new rocket design. So like "Test the Launch Escape System on Kerbal One" or "Complete unmanned Orbital Flight on Kerbal 2" before Gene will sign off on launching Jeb into space on top of a firework. 5) Programme Contacts - like "Project Mercury" Contract to complete X number of sub-orbital and orbital flights before contract is fulfilled. Please excuse my wittering, but I have no idea where to begin building all this stuff. Any help or advice would be appreciated.
