  1. I do it every time I update- just copy and paste in bulk and I can start them right up no problem without any manual editing at all - I do need to redo the flag every time though.
  2. Hmm. If it was over the time you set I'd blame the SRBs for pushing you past it, but this is under. Try setting the variables you want locked and then hitting the save button in the bottom left? That will make the values you entered the default when you go to launch a new craft... Might help.
  3. No, not even as a joke. The more people hear that junk the more can fall for it. It would probably just encourage them anyway.
  4. I always just put the next engine(s) on the same stage as the decoupler. Fires them at the same time, and I don"t remember the last time the heat made something explode.
  5. Hey, just want to say that the option to drive to your current target seems to be a little too accurate. I targeted a surface science base I'd set up on Kerbin, and when I arrived, the rover appeared directly on top of the control center. I just wanted to put up a couple more solar units and a transmitter dish, but I ended up having to replace the seismometer too.
  6. Just needed probably 20 tries at the least to scan a Giant Quartz in the mountains near the Space Center. Apparently the craft slipping by like, a millimeter is enough to stop the scan...
  7. Looks like it's just a shallow spot, like a sand bar. I can see another one at the right edge of your bottom image, as well as just above your tail in the first (Pretty sure, that one is kind of small for some reason). Somebody in MI&C found one within just 4 meters of the surface.
  8. Just added the link at the bottom of my post. I couldn't find the spot looking down from the cliff, but the mountains in the background seem to match.
  9. So I believe I have located Valhalla. I was only able to match up one screenshot, but the coordinate clue sealed the deal for me. (Hope you can see these. The sharing links from Google Photos weren't working for some reason, even though I swear that's what I did last time. Just ended up right clicking and copying the image address.) I was also able to determine the altitude of the mountains highest peak - 4,673.7 meters. Try this:
  10. No, no. I submitted Null Bay- Saddle Mountain is a sub-landmark at best.
  11. So I just looked at the OP, and I noticed I'm marked as having submitted Saddle Mountain. I submitted Null Bay, not Saddle Mountain. Also, I have provided screenshots - try looking at my post on the last page again. They were there when I looked at a different computer. If not, they should be right through the link below, which I have also added to the bottom of the original post..
  12. Odd, I'll try a quick edit... I guess just right clicking on the pictures and grabbing that address doesn't work with Google Photos...
  13. Got one for you guys- been meaning to post this for a while actually, just kept forgetting. Null Bay Looking North: East: South: And West: Directions are pretty simple: Just head due east from the KSC for just under 75°. The Coordinates should be a dead giveaway that you've arrived, if the view isn't enough on it's own. (Not claiming that mountain per say, but I'll provisionally call it Saddle Mountain for it's shape.) I used the f12 menu to get there, but I'm fairly certain this boat has the range to get there on it's own. Backup link:
  14. Not really- the Northern and Southern Ice Shelves are just that- if the game was capable of modelling it, there would be water all under those. There's only one way to get to the Northern Ice Shelf from the Water Biome, but you could go right around the bottom of the landmass SW of the KSC, making a submarine circumnavigation possible... If the game could actually model ice shelves properly. I think Unity is to blame for that. Source:
  15. Been lurking around here for a while, and I think I might have found the Great Wall. Just kinda wound up there coming back from Minmus. Not 100% sure, this is the best angle I could really get from my fixed location
  16. So I put together a rover to collect some Science from around the KSC, and I put four Experiment Storage Unit's on it so I wouldn't need to recover it constantly. I had also had four of each experiment I was bringing, so I expected them to all get collected. Then I noticed X Science was showing I couldn't run an experiment any more, despite the fact more runs were in fact required to fill the bar and enough science parts were present, so I checked the experiments. Turns out some of them had failed to collect. Thinking about it, this had also just happened while I was collecting the atmospheric analysis science from Kerbin's upper atmosphere with a totally different craft. Best I can tell, this is because I had all the Experiment Storage Unit's on an action group together, and they must have all collected from the same part at the same time. New since 1.8.1 as far as I know. While I have mod's installed, which is why I'm putting this here, I do not believe them to be at fault. Any experiment + 2 action grouped Experiment Storage Unit's on a craft should allow this to be replicated EDIT: Actually, it looks like they need to be on the same stage - so no decouplers in-between. Maybe. EDIT 2: Figured it out- this doesn't work with the Science Jr. or Mystery Goo. Haven't gone up to 1.9 yet, so I can't speak for that.
  17. Now that I think about it, I think there are tabs in the advanced mode that sort by tech level... I don't think it goes node by node though. And I know you can order the displayed parts by mass. Just click "Mass" under the search bar.
  18. Try reducing the value on the sensitivity- the smaller that number, the lower the mod can take the throttle without just turning the engine off.
  19. That's not Gravity Turn- that'll be MechJeb. Gravity Turn is programmed to turn over control to MechJeb once it's done. Not sure how the fairing trigger works- I've never touched that, and it works for me.
  20. Man, Ike is going to be a lot brighter on the surface by the looks of it.
  21. Will the star that Kerbin orbits remain "The Sun" or are we going to make the "Kerbol" moniker canon? They can't just call all the stars the same thing...
  22. No, looks like the propeller blades have a twist built in at the base, while the helicopter blades are flat. Doesn't completely rule out the possibility of variable pitch though.
