  1. Happy to help! When I was first learning I liked to imagine my orbit as a hula-hoop I'm holding around my waist. Prograde/retrograde makes the hula-hoop bigger/smaller. Radial in/out is like shifting the hula-hoop closer/further from one side of your body. Normal/anti-normal is like lowering one hand and raising the other so that the hula hoop is tilted.
  2. If you're Pe is below the Mun's surface on approach before you do your retrograde capture burn, you need to burn radial (light blue circle) most likely out, not prograde. I fired up the tutorial and that's what it says as well, perhaps you misread it?
  3. You'd prolly have more success starting your own thread asking for help with early Mun lander designs than poking around in 3 year old threads.
  4. Yes, it had a pilot of course. If you look close you can just barely make out the comms dish folded up on the yellow monoprop tank, just behind the Command Pod. https://wiki.kerbalspaceprogram.com/wiki/Communotron_DTS-M1 At the time or currently? I think I had one or two at the time (Keep in mind this was three years ago lol), now I have a whole network around the Mun. (My now standard setup of one powerful "mother" relay in high polar orbit accompanied by 3 weaker equatorial "child" relays in a loose triangle.)
  5. Congrats! Yes, we are still here lol. Wow, can't believe this was a year ago, time flies!
  6. 1. Launch out over the ocean, drop nose to 45 degrees slowly, burn till Ap is 70+k. Cut engines, drift till time to Ap is 30-45 seconds. 2. Burn prograde, keeping time till Ap between 10-20 seconds. Nose up to increase time, nose down to decrease. Burn until Pe is 70+k. (Pretend the Ap is a ball you are pushing along on your nose, you don't want to get in front of it, or too far behind it.) 3. Congrats, circular orbit.
  7. This mod will address some of you issues with the nodes by adding more, I highly recommend it! But.. it's not going to fix the "tree" structure inherent in all KSP crafts as @5thHorseman described.
  8. I usually just place something prominent and eye catching on the "back" of the craft so I can quickly visually orient myself if I need to.
  9. Can we get confirmation that hating on T2 is low hanging fruit and kind of tired at this point? KSP is still alive and well, thriving even, despite all the doomsaying over T2 in the past. Would you like some Squad staff or T2's CEO to personally come to your house and pat you on the head? Would that make you feel better? That would make me feel better, sign me up if you ever get to talk to them!
  10. I would wager most console players fall into the casual category and thus rarely go further than Kerbins moons. Trial and error is fine for that sort of gameplay. Anyone who gets serious about KSP will likely want to move over to the PC.
  11. G-force limits: Yes, as others have said, it's not really that bad and you generally have to try to destroy your craft. Pressure limits: No, unless something has changed every part has the same depth limit from pressure which isn't very far down. If you'd like to explore the sea at any point, you'll want pressure limits off. Both can be turned on and off at will, at any time in the options menu afaik.
  12. Pffftt..I've flown planes in real life and even I can't be bothered to care this much.
  13. Yeah, no thanks. I like the Lego style parts myself. It encourages creativity through limitations. Anyone who's ever actually played with Legos, and built like, a walker mech out of a submarine kit knows what I'm talking about. You end up with something more interesting and unique than if you had custom made Legos. The journey to get there is also more fun. Also, I seriously doubt they'll double back on such a key design feature this late in the game. Besides, there are mods for that, and you can just go play Simple Rockets 2 as well if that's what you want.
  14. *Old hippy voice* You can't like...just put my aircraft in a box and like...define them man...they gotta be free to fly! You can't keep us down man, the government doesn't like..own the sky man, you can't like..own clouds man!
  15. You could offset the crew compartments into the hollow fairing? The view from the windows will suck, but it will work lol. Keep in mind, I'm not against your suggestion, just trying to help you with a fix to your issue you can employ right now.
  16. "This summer, Will Smith is...Jebediah Kerman!" I mean they already painted him blue why not green lol?
  17. Well yeah but, that could be 2020, or 2021, etc... For the record; my question about an announcement wasn't sarcastic. I've been away on a trip, and have been out of the loop.
  18. Did I miss some announcement? What makes you so sure there will be one released in 2020?
  19. Neat! I like the way it looks, I often do missions like this as well just for funsies.
  20. While I do really like your entry, and your enthusiasm..I think it breaks the rules a bit. It's very asymmetrical, but you use parts more than once. The plus side is, now you get to make an even better one!
  21. Rofl, video was hilarious. Unleash the mighty air snake!
