kopernicus [1.6.0] Extrasolar v1.8.0 [12/21/18]
Andi K. replied to Andi K.'s topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
No need to do that. The ribbons should work without moving them into the Final Frontier ribbons folder. -
That's a really unique looking planet. I love it.

Hey folks. I am seriously considering discontinuing both of my mods. Ever since I started modding 3 years ago, I've never been happy with my planet packs, and I think it's time for me to let them go.

Could you at least make you planet pack license less restrictive, allowing someone else to continue your great work?

Can you show me a screenshot of the message, a screenshot of your gamedata folder, and your output log? Also, what version of Kopernicus are you using? -

I'm pretty sure Atomic Age is very outdated. Something like Near Future Propulsion should work, but you won't be able to use it in 1.6.0. -
kopernicus [1.6.0] Extrasolar v1.8.0 [12/21/18]
Andi K. replied to Andi K.'s topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I'm working fine tuning the existing planets' textures, as well as improving compatibility between Extrasolar and other mods. If you want to use visual enhancement mods (scatterer and environmental visual enhancements) then Extrasolar will not work with Before Kerbin. However, if you are not using visual enhancement mods, then Extrasolar should work pretty well with Before Kerbin. Yes, OPM and Extrasolar are compatible with each other. Although you can reach Valentine using stock parts, the journey will be much longer than if you were to use mods. Going to Valentine with stock parts is totally feasible, though. -

I was not happy with those moons, so I got rid of them. -

No new objects are going to be added into Extrasolar. -
Independent documentary film? That sounds sweet.

Adstriduum just said that he's starting to lose motivation to work on his mod, and your response to that is to ask for more stuff?

@Leouch I think I probably forgot to divide the SOI by 10 to get what it would be in kerbal scale. I've updated Valentine's config on Github and on Spacedock so everything should be fixed now. -

Some more views of Barnard's Star b: Coming to a real (and soon stock) solar system very far from you -

I'm thinking about creating a new mod that is like RSS Expanded but a million times better. -

kopernicus [1.3.1] Real Exoplanets v0.2.0 [12/12/18]
Andi K. replied to Andi K.'s topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I started reading some more about the color of atmospheres of Earth-like exoplanets, and I realized that the color of some of the atmospheres in REX are less than realistic. For example, Tau Ceti e's atmospheric color is too blue, and should be more pale and more yellow. Here is how Tau Ceti e looks like before and after the color change: I personally like the muted colors more. -

Cool. I'm going to make Barnard's Star b have a weak magnetosphere, so that its atmosphere will be pretty thin. I worked too hard on that texture to cover it up with atmospheric haze! -

Isn't Barnard's Star a flare star like Proxima Centauri? Wouldn't that mean that, like Proxima Centauri b, Barnard's Star b likely would have a hard time holding onto a thick atmosphere? -

Do you think that there would be the same haze that is on Titan? -

Here is the next planet I am working on, Barnard's Star b: @ProtoJeb21 What do you think the atmosphere of Barnard's Star b would be like in terms of composition and pressure?
