  1. I've just been doing stuff on Planet Hunters when I stumbled across Q11-2 of this large K-Dwarf called KIC 6634112 (APH00016yu). For the past few weeks, people have reported a clearly visible transit in every light curve. This "planet" orbits every 9.8 days. However, I did the math, and what I got for its size is mind-boggling.

    Spoiler

It is about 28.5 TIMES THE SIZE OF EARTH.

Either I'm doing the math wrong, or this is a dwarf star, or this is the largest planet in the Universe.

  4. Hi. So, I've had an idea. It's for a NTR/ion spacecraft. It's a 3.75M core, with 1.25M engine pods on the sides. The engine pods are mounted on structural pylons so the NTRs don't overheat the core. The cool part is that it has FRONT FIRING NTR thrusters for braking, toggle w/ Action group. Also, there would be a cluster of ion engines on the main core, for low-thrust burns (like corrections) and augumented thrust for long burns. It would use 3.75M parts from SXT for habitation, and carry three L-1 Basic Landing Gizmos, and an L-3 Atmospherical Landerizer.

I'm learning Python atm, but in a few months I may be able to be a beta tester/ Mac compatibility tester and/or assistant dev.
