Landing a mining rover and fuel transport on minmus to allow all my interplanetary ships to refuel in minmus orbit, sadly KSP did not like my achievement and while I was piloting another ship decided that my mining rover should explode...

Holy awesomeness! I did not know that was possible, so many ideas...

I feel the same as the OP, there's a connection you get to a ship that has a particular name that means something (often only to you) that's just a little bit special. I've used various mythologies and the occasional commemoration for lost kerbals to name my ships in the past

My builds tend to only manage to stay together if you think of struts like duct tape

Improving my kerbal performance was definitely a factor when I upgraded to my current setup: i7 4960k, 2x GTX 970 etc. Now I'm desperately waiting on the 1.1 patch so that the ships *hopefully* don't randomly explode when I put lots of parts on them...

Oh wow, I really wish I'd seen this thread before I launched this ridiculous machine all the way to minmus...
