  1. KocLobster's post in How to transfer fuel during staging planning? was marked as the answer
This can be done by a technique called Asparugus staging. Remember that fuel flows through the fuel duct lines towards the direction of the 2nd placed node. Here is an excellent tutorial on everything you need to know about Asparagus staging, explained by someone who can do a much better job than me of explaining:

Also, I highly recommend this tutorial by @Foxster. It taught me almost everything necessary to start building good rockets.

Welcome to the forums, have fun.
  2. KocLobster's post in Orbit darkness time was marked as the answer
I thought I was a math person but I just am not. Nor do I want to invest that kind of time just figuring this out. I checked the forums and didn't find anything solid, however I just found, seconds after making the thread, a very handy little calculator tool that one can used to calculate how long they will spend in the darkness of any given celestial body depending on your input of apoapsis/periapsis, and even how much stored EC they will need depending on your input of how much EC you'd be using per second. Seeing as how I can't delete this thread, I'll just post the link for anyone else that searches the forums looking for this answer.
