  1. This would probably be a fantastic mod.

There are several technical issues to be solved, one of which is, for player A who has advanced beyond player B, and player B exports a vessel, how is that vessel imported into player A's save.  Obviously there are server-side issues, etc.

Maybe the mod could store the vessel info localy until player A reach player's B time point - And then only would the vessel be added to player A persistent file, from the local copy.

I'm quite intrigue on how to manage crew with this tho... So many Jebediah on so many ships ! I guess the mod could restrict Jeb and the crew to only 1 player and have all the other players get only randomly generated kerbals ?

When docking ships, the mod would have to be able to remove the vessels from users savefiles and add back the docked version (If you can follow my thoughts here)

So many possible problems ! @linuxgurugamer, you are a mad man to even think about adding this beast to your huge mod collection.

  2. Your log files seem really weird to me
For example what's supposed to be the 1st line is on the 77th

******* Log Initiated for Kerbal Space Program - 1.2.0.1586 (WindowsPlayer) *******

Could you sent us (again ?) the KSP.log file (will be generated on the same folder as KSP.exe) ?

Some thoughts : latest version of KSP is 1.2.1.1604
If you're not running any mod right now, I don't see a reason not to update :)

  3. It's very very late here so I won't hang in the forum much longer.

Take your time to upload the log file somewhere and post a link here

You also should try to check KSP files with steam :
On your library, right-click KSP, select "properties", then "local files" and start the integrity check.

  4. The only explanation that I can think of when having a clean KSP.log is that a config file from a previous MechJeb install stayed on your KSP gamedata folder ...

But you said you've clean-up the install.

Maybe check file integrity in steam ? Sometimes it helps

    -----------------------------------------

Well it appears the log file is truncated.

Its quite normal I guess for forum to do so.

If you can't upload the file somewhere, You can send me a mail to tuuuuuutspam [at] gmail.com with the file attached.

  5. You don't see a menu for MechJeb? Hmm

I don't know if you've followed my instructions or not : Did you remove all mods and cleared CKAN ?
Did you reinstall your mods using CKAN ?
Do you use the steam version or the KSP store one? (not that this is important for mods : Just to be sure about the paths I may provide to you)

    Most importantly :
Can you upload your KSP.log file somewhere (like dropbox) so that we can see what's going on?
This file is within the folder of KSP.exe

    Is chatterer compatible

Did you even TRY to search that info for yourself ?

How do you think I know if a mod is compatible with KSP 1.2 ? I open CKAN and search for it.
Or I can search on this very forum the thread

It doesn't show in the "compatible" filter. What filter reveals it and how do I recognize the correct one?

Only the dev version is compatible with 1.2 KSP

    From OP of MechJeb thread:

If you want the dev version of MechJeb then :
    - open CKAN settings (Settings => CKAN Settings)
    - press the New button
    - select the MechJeb-dev line, click OK and exit the options.
    - refresh
    - select "Mechjeb2 - DEV RELEASE" in the list and then "Go to Change" to install

  7. Hmm this is a special case.

This Atmosphere pack depend on EVE to work properly.

EVE is indeed on CKAN, but I can't find this pack - I guess you'll have to install this one manually.
But he IS compatible with KSP 1.2 so you're fine.

Make sure to have EVE installed 1st
    Grab the files from here
    Then open the archive. Inside is a "BoulderCo" folder;
Extract that into your GameData folder and overwrite the existing BoulderCo folder if there is one.

thx ill try! so saying mods i cant get on ckan wont conflict the mod?

It is totally possible that mod you install manually conflict with other.
This is the reason I told you about the "incompatible" list on ckan :
Mods that do exist in that list should not be installed on your KSP, because they'll cause some problems. Installing them manually won't change the fact that there is bugs with them.

The only way to get some kind of warranty against conflict is to use ONLY ckan

And use patience® for the mods that are not yet compatible.

  9. You surely don't HAVE to install the DEV build of MJ with CKAN - But it's easier so why not ?

For the missing mod, yes you'll have to install them manually
CKAN is friendly with mods that are manually installed; He won't ever mess with them.

However the great benefit of using CKAN (only) is to not be able to install incompatible mods. (& to keep mods up-to-date. & never fail to install them properly)
This doesn't mean CKAN is not aware of them, just that he knows they'll cause trouble.
Check the "Incompatible" list on CKAN before installing mods manually - If they're there, you'll need to wait for the people who are taking care of it to update it for the current version of KSP

Or just don't use CKAN ; No mods require to be installed via CKAN

  10. Hi endomen,

We'll need more info to help you out.
Most importantly the log file : C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Kerbal Space Program\KSP.log

Does the KSP is modded ?
If so you should try without any mods (just move the data from C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Kerbal Space Program\Gamedata\ to another location, LEAVING the folder SQUAD)

You also should try to check KSP files with steam :
On your library, right-click KSP, select "properties", then "local files" and start the integrity check.

I'm just going to drop the mic right here.

And you've been very nice to even start posting in this incredibly unproductive thread.
I'd like to thank you for this, as well as all the time and effort you gave to KSP ; And for the future too !

Oh, and I shouldn't push at open doors here, but I believe most of KSP fans ARE NOT posting in this  thread to ask for explanation they don't deserve.
Think about all these people who are just thankful of your work and don't tell you how you should behave
Are they the mast majority ? I do think so.

    Have a nice day @RoverDude !
