  1. I hadn't seen that when i posted, but this guy is still not getting my pitty. He's calling out his wages in USD, which is irrelevant if he's not being paid in the US. his wages need to be compared to the buying power they get where he is getting paid, in the currency he is getting paid. I have no idea what $2400, or $1000 a year buys in mexico, the best i could compare it to is say him getting 2.4x the minimum wage. Where I live that would get you ~$24 an hour(california). Its not big money, but it's livable. its nearly two and a half times minimum wage, in california that would be around $50,000 a year. I don't know how minimum wage in the US compares to mexico, but my whole point is that he's not giving an accurate picture by using one currency that makes your pay look pathetically low.
  2. The guy is claiming they paid him $2400 annual salary. Who in their right mind would accept a full time job that pays $200 a month?? I'm calling BS, I know the video game industry has issues, but no one in their right mind would accept a job working 40 hours a week for ten bucks a day. Literally any other job would pay better.
  3. dont know if its the same on a mac, but on a PC you go to steam, games library, right click on KSP and there's a 'launch 64-bit KSP' option.
  4. 781: the sun should orbit a blackhole that we can attempt to visit.
  5. I'd recommend giving 1.1 a go, but only after checking the mods you are using to make sure they have 1.1 compatible versions available. If you are using something that hasn't been updated yet that you can't live without, stick with 1.0.5. If you don't use mods or only use ones that are updated(many of the major mods are updated already) then 1.1 is definitely worth using. performance is much better and stability for me has been rock solid.
  6. for me generally anything that runs on windows 7 game-wise(or anything really except drivers) works flawlessly on windows 10. I haven't had any issues with KSP or any of my other ~75 steam games that i've tried. Granted i do have some really old games that i haven't played in ages, but the ones in question likely wouldn't work on win7 either.
  7. its not that you aren't the admin on your own PC, its how windows handles administrator privileges. user account control restricts you current permissions unless you explicitly tell it to run as administrator as a security feature. This way an app can't have the level of control needed to do damage quite as easily since you get that "are you sure" window. It's definitely far from foolproof, but it does help some.
  8. Haven't played release 1.1 yet, but i had this issue quite often in prerelease. Every 2-3 nodes i was having to revert to the space center.
  9. I don't know about can't live without, but i'd be very disappointed if science alert doesn't get updated for 1.1.
  10. depending on your definition, either Ike, or Duna. Just landed there today with a probe. Ike first, then went and landed on duna. First time i've ever been outside of kerbin's SOI. (not counting short trips into solar orbit for science/XP)
  11. this is pretty cool... newbal question, why do people take off straight up on even instead of using a gravity turn? is the atmosphere too thick or something? Also what i did today, built a probe, flew it to duna orbit, transfered to ike orbit, landed on ike, returned to and landed on duna, took off on duna, forgot to retract solar panels and they ripped off. bye bye probe, its battery power didnt last long.
  12. i'm guilty of not saving often enough. Not near often enough. Its by far my biggest sin, and has just recently bit me badly.
  13. Well I'm going to go drive home and check back then. Hopefully some other news pops up between now and then.
