  1. Thank you so much for this game. It was the first PC game that I really liked enough to buy, such an amazing game. I have kept every release of the game since .90 when I first started playing it (Demo doesn't count). Such a great window to another world which mirrors our own in many ways, a window I often gaze through for many hours. Thank you for sticking with the game through thick and thin, especially as of late. I wish you success in your further endeavors, Skybird0
  2. Ahhh shoot... Fixed.:) Sorry guys, did not know I did that. @regex yes, YES, that is exactly what this is! Fyi, this is an article about squad devs.
  3. Sorry about the vague name but, what is going on here? Someone with a grudge, or is this just bogus? I'm sorry but this seems a little too unbelievable to me.
  4. @sal_vager Cool. I have slow internet so I did not want to download till I had confirmation on x64 exe being included.(I said binary in my last post, I meant the executable:) )
  5. So we need to wait on the x64 binary to be included in the file?
  6. Ah ok, I must be thinking about the unzipped game...
  7. So ksp went from a ~2.5Gb file download size to ~ 798Mb file download size?
  8. I knew it wouldn't work for your missile @Geschosskopf, I thought it was worth a try. @swjr-swis I like it! Idk how Hilzy survived that, but anyways awsome craft and great narrative.
  9. Wow cool... I need to give this a shot.(Pun not intended.) Just need some kerbals in a command seat, geronimo!
  10. What did it look like? Cartoony like KSP? Or an attempt on realism like Orbiter?
  11. So make it query whether or not it is touching the ground and if so, change the impact tolerance. Otherwise the impact tolerance (Hereby structural tolerance.) stays the same. This should be something you can change in a setting, for instance, you would not want this system to be in effect for new players.
  12. Oh yeah, I forgot about that... I remember thinking about it a long time ago. You could just lock the planets. Make them static. Of course there will be those who think that this is a very radical idea, well, I agree to an extent. Or you could setup your intercept differently. But lets face it, MP KSP will never be perfect because someone will always find something wrong with it, or complain about something not quite adding up. But you know, I don't think that it should be that big a deal. We might just be over thinking it. Just my two cents.:)
  13. Here is a thought I had about MP implementation: Timewarp could be made into a sort of hyperdrive where you remain in the same timeframe, but move faster though space in a non-Newtonian way. Your actual velocity would not change, and your controls would be locked-out, but control would be returned once you drop out of "hyperspace". Obviously there are other issues that would need worked out that I have not discussed as this is only a basic suggestion, but I think the idea has merit. Example: This would not work for physical timewarp.
  14. Procedural terrain damage. You crash your ship, you've dug a crater. Collision damage models for all parts. Visual CoM, Cp, Cl, with toggle buttons on pod. Real windows on the pods. These are just a few... I have a lot of ideas.
  15. I did not know there was a "wrong side" of this forum, like on youtube... I don't know what to say. What does this thread have to do with ksp at all?
  16. Hey look nerds! I can lift my coffee mug! Sorry... And I thought kerbals were krash test dummies... I'll never show my face in public again...
  17. I think it was gilly with a lander. That was an old .90 science save... 1 year ago... Twas a bouncy landing, even at .2 m/s, lol.
  18. I find that some shows or movies are just vague enough in there portrayal of scenes of interest to this thread, that they just can slip by... Don't diss Dr. Who, it is a great show (Except for the 8th. season...). The thing is, we all know that messing with time is impossible, there are discrepancys but it is for the sake of telling a story. This is the same for most all shows or movies mentioned in this thread, only the difference with some is it is more glaring.
  19. Personally, 2001 A Space Odyssey wasn't that good of a movie anyways...
