  1. Anyone had any luck with successfully launching a shuttle stack with TCA? I just started experimenting with it and haven't been able to get it to do a proper heads-down launch profile, and when I tried MJ and Gravity Turn, my STS went crazy and I had to bail my crew out. (Thank God for EVA Chutes) Btw, I did try the tips listed earlier in the thread, and my STS didn't properly pitch over like it was supposed to.
  2. @Beale Are there any plans to add some of the other antennas used on the Soyuz and Progress spacecraft?
  3. It would be neat to see a version of this where it converts all installed battery modules to this framework. It would be a neat challenge to have the Real Battery mechanics as a factor in a career game.
  4. @Galileo I've tried to take your Planet Pack on my KSP install and make it into a separate system that I could go explore. It didn't work out too well. Is there a way to edit the cfgs so the "Ciro" system can be a separate explorable system?

  7. To tag on to Gotmachine's comment, and because I can't tag on mobile, it seems that most, if not all the features in Kerbalism can be changed with config files. If you don't like a particular feature, make a profile to turn that feature off, or ask nicely, and someone with the proper knowledge and patience may be able to whistle one up for you.
  8. So with the current system, I could leave a station up for a long time and have the solar panels degrade to the point of having power issues like Mir did?
  9. Loving the shuttle stack! I can't wait to use this. Hopefully it will be easier to fly than my attempt using the DIRECT tank and boosters.
  10. I can't wait for this mod to be updated. I'm playing 1.2.1 and I miss my missions having a limited window, and along with Orbital Decay, my stations having a lifespan. I've been trying to keep up with this thread, and I probably missed a few posts here and there, so I apologize if this has already been answered, but is there/will there be a wear-and-tear mechanic with the reliability/upgrade system? (If I have a station in orbit for a long time, the solar panels will degrade, and life support will become less efficient, or break down. Eventually, I'd have to repair/replace systems, or just de-orbit the station altogether and send up a new one.)
  11. I seem to be having a problem with the ALV (Proton). Using MJ or Gravity Turn, my first stage works fine, but my second and third stages do not fire...at all. I have to take manual control, and usually that causes even more problems. The Soyuz launcher works perfectly, and I'm about to test the Ariane 5 and N-1 to see if they have any issues.
  12. @Sandworm did you do anything special other than just putting in the values in the settings file? I'm having issues on my testing game with atmosphere rescale.
  13. Is this mod usable in 1.2.1 at all, or do I need to use 1.1.3 to be able to use RF?
  14. Thanks @CobaltWolf I'm trying to get the "Black Soyuz" Scheme for the service modules and the Progress craft. I wish I had the .psd files. the "psd" in the file names is a little misleading.
  15. I have a question. How do I open the texture files for editing in photoshop? My Photoshop won't open them.
  16. KSP is quite boring without Kerbalism and Orbital Decay. It is certainly playable, but not nearly as fun.
  17. It would be quite cool to see a BDB take on the Delta IVs. If someone did a BDB-esque Orion/SLS it would be pretty awesome, too. Of course, we have RSB for the first and SSTU has a great version of the second, but it would still be quite awesome.
  18. Any chance of getting Landertron configs? I think an older Tantares version had compatibility with Landertron, but I'm not sure. I'd love to have that as an added element in Soyuz flights.

  20. Behold the Muo V 451!!! I used tweakscale to scale up the Dioscuri boosters to 0.938, then attached them accordingly to the main booster. Not exact, but they work quite well. I also used 4 of the fenris trapezoidal fins around the base and some stock verniers for a little extra stability.
  21. I was actually looking into trying to help update config, as I love this mod, and almost can't play without it. I had done some config editing in my 1.1.3 game to make the VSPR mk 1-2 an additional pod, allowing the SDHI-compatible one to be used as well. Then the game updated.
  22. Here's a neat little trick I found, for those who want to use it. I use the Smart Parts Altitude Controller to trigger the Muo (Atlas) Booster Fairing at 25km. It's worked reasonably well in the tests I've run. Here are some screenies to illustrate what I do.
  23. Are there any plans to update the "Old" Tantares so it is usable in 1.2? I'd try to do it to the files I have, but I'm not sure where to start.
  24. Not sure if anyone has had this problem, but i can't seem to get the SLA payload petals to close. They're locked open in the VAB.
