To be fair, i am sure that descriptions were said to be placeholders back in the day. And personally i am with satcharna, the descriptions aren't really helpful at all (could said the same about the community "ADD MORE BOSTERS!" thing too)

Were you honestly expecting a kids game out of a game with semi-realistic orbital mechanics? I am sure most of the people who are displeased with the direction Squad took wanted a middle term between Spore and Orbiter They probably could please both parts of the fanbases, but seems more like Squad just wants to ignore the more serious part of the fanbase, actually kinda question if they just want us to leave quietly

Tutorials for ksp 0.22?
Alguien replied to deepspacecreeper's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Especially since career mode and the tech tree were made with new players in mind, i like to point out than it doesnt explain anything and fails at the objetive a lot, so maybe Squad will fix it. -
Too easy to get science
Alguien replied to bigpapabearxx's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
I going to point out than ironically, the career mode doesn't explain anything, and even some veteran players are confused about what can they do to get science points, so now new players are as completely lost as before, just instead of a wall of parts now is a wall of gamemechanics -
For actual tutorials instead of Squad failed try with career mode: Main menu->Start Game->Training IMO Career mode simply fails in all aspects, as a tutorial fails because it doesnt explain anything, and as a historical tech tree fails because it doesnt make any sense

Different approach to rocket diameters
Alguien replied to PDCWolf's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
The "too many parts" can be solved with a procedual system when you choose the stock diameter and then the player choosing how tall the fuel tank is. So you have a total 6 editable fuel tanks (1 per diameter) instead of 4 or 5 fuel tanks per diameter -
Probes before Kerbonauts...
Alguien replied to icemasterpt's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Because Squad wants to new players to meet Jeb and love him but: Is what is going to happen and honestly, is a big hole in they plans, which can be done in better ways -
The whole tech tree will have to be reworked for that, so i am sure they arent going that route but just the basic kethane of "get resource->get fuel back". There was a whole chart about it by i am sure it was dropped
-
Actually, as far as i have been told, all what modders can do is link mods to a node and thats it. They can't do anything about the nodes or the techtree. IMO, career and the tech tree are a bad decision in general at this point of time/developement and the effort will be better used, as PCDWolf said, in bugs and incomplete features like wobble, aerodynamics or even the plane part rework which will force a rework of the techtree. There is a reason single player and campaings are usually done late in developement.

NASA makes they autopilot, so if you really want "realistic gameplay" get kOS instead of MJ
-
i dont see how the poll shows most people care either, one may prefer female/male and another may prefer monogender, that doesnt mean they actually care if is implemented or not as far as i know, the team seems to go with that idea of Kergals or girlbals, or what ever you want to call them
-
probably not many other than some scripts, but most mods will have to be reworked to work in career mode
-
I have two eyes, the president of the USA has two eyes, that means i am The President of the United States Even ignoring than NASA does it because ACTUAL LIFES and MILLIONS OF DOLLARS are on the line, NASA MAKES they own autopilots from zero Did mechjeb users program MJ from nothing? No, they download a program and call it a day So can we stop this nosense argument without feet or head? Because is annoying than your guys depreciate NASA just so you can justify using a mod. Its not helping Mechjeb imagen and is not helping your imagen either. If you want to actually "experience the NASA experience" (which i honestly dont think most of you actually do) get kOS or make your own autopilot Till then, you have ZERO rights to claim than your guys are "like NASA" Signed: The President of The United States of America

Yes and no Yes the game has changed because you have more parts and actually things to do, plus more experience And no, the spirit of the game is still the same. If anything the basics of the game are more easy now than before too, at least you don't get killed by the kommunist in the dark side of kerbin anymore
-
As other said, without knowing for what the rocket is, we can't tell you exactly if is good If is for orbiting kerbin is overdone If is for extra-kerbin exploration it lacks NERVAs alsao i am sure that tall lifting stage is unpractical, you will be between making that into two more so you can throw dead weight in more fases

Maybe as we progress in the techtree the IVA gets more panels and instruments
-
I disagree, they are indeed reckless, but they are amazing engineers, and outside the promotional videos and a menu screen, the only failure comes from the player hand. The "lol so kerbal" i have see actually goes about promoting MORE failure, again from the player hand, instead of reducing it and learning. I.E: the "lol so kerbal" MOAR BOOSTERS instead of making a smaller yet more practical rocket

NPC Kerbals at the KSC
Alguien replied to Stinkk's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Thats a good idea, i hope they do add it when they finally add cities Maybe some cars and planes going around too -
Liquid rover wheels
Alguien replied to Rockyfelle185's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
As JakeGrey said, it won't be very viable unless you take liberties in how it works, and Ratbeer has a point, electricity works in all places, is not about "unlimited" is about "why use this when you have this other thing than works better?". So i am sure SQUAD won't do it But there is a mod than does it, i think is TouhouTorpedo multiwheels -
Kerbal inventories
Alguien replied to MadBender's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
I like the idea, cool work well in tandem with different suits with different atributes and inventory space, I.E.: you have to choose between the standar space suit with more inventory space or the duna special suit than can resist sandstorms but has less inventory space -
Stock? Not stock? I care nothing for these arguments.
Alguien replied to esinohio's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
For somebody who just want to give a thanks to the modders, you sure are aggresive as hell, try making a post without attacking somebody -
Stock? Not stock? I care nothing for these arguments.
Alguien replied to esinohio's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
Then maybe people should not use "I don't care" when they want to say "I totally care like my life depends of it" Specially if they are going to be hypocrites and call other users kids or claim they have overinflate egos and then proceed to make a thread about the same thing he is calling them out
