  1. Never tried it but that name makes it sound reeeallly satisfying when dealing with these programs. Someone needs to make an antivirus with built-in laser cannon animations of the virus getting destroyed. Yes please. ALL VIRUSES MUST DIIIIEEEE! DDIIIEEEEE!!! This user totally has not been driven mad
  2. There are still plenty of things to add that they've confirmed... Multiplayer is the biggest, and it'll probably take MULTIPLE updates to get multiplayer working! After that, who knows? The thing about KSP is that you can keep on adding stuff, there's so much potential for depth in this game. Maybe even GP2! More parts! A freaking KSP sequel! Excuse me while I engage the hype engines!
  3. I don't know what's with you guys. Just wait a few days for a sale... But seriously, in most cases there would be no need to rush it, but in this case I think you should rush it. 1.0 is probably going to be released very soon, within the next few weeks. Price tends to go up with each version... and honestly this game is pretty darn addictive. You'll earn the 30 bucks back by the time you've gotten bored. - - - Updated - - - Had to add this: Why do people hate Steam so much? KSP doesn't even have a DRM, even when downloaded over Steam!
  4. I like how Harv seems to do most of the front-end features, so his devnote is always the most interesting Just kidding, we love all you guys. Those are some awesome front-end features tho...
  5. Question: I'm not exactly literate with low-level stuff like memory So, will memory leaks fix lag and loading times, etc... or just crashes? Also, devnotes tonight! Whenever they come along I remember how great SQUAD is just for doing them
  6. This thread is getting way too... conspiracy-ish. When did KSP stop being a welcoming, kind community and turn into "we are superior because we know science and space, fear us"?
  7. I'll stick with my analog watch
  8. First, I would purposely flip around so I'm upside down. Then I would start spinning to disorient the guy. Finally, I would eject him out of the airlock, hijack the ISS, and loot it. Or maybe I would just do what Bill Phil said.
  9. Wow, this looks really cool. Good luck man
  10. Doesn't shipping one pound into space cost something like a million dollars? I know that's probably exaggerated clickbait, but still... don't astronauts have to get stuff approved?
  11. Hmm. If there was a community for this niche game, then... KERBAL PLUMBING PROGRAM 2015
  12. It's a valid point, but you have to admit, the shiny KSC we have now is a lot better than the cartoon one from the first versions (no offense, Harv, you're a great game designer but art wasn't your thing ) You can argue that you'll ignore the KSC... but new players won't. They'll see the sloppy cartoonish barn and think that they just wasted thirty bucks. Okay, probably not, but it'll still be disappointing.
  13. Just download a bunch of demos No, seriously though. I forget to check if the "download demo" button is there half the time (they seem to make it blend in)... but every once in a while, the demo isn't that bad at all. Take the KSP demo, it was nothing but an older version of the game and I still had fun with it. And every once in a while, Steam seems to glitch and give you the full version of the game (!?!?) This totally didn't happen with the DEFCON demo. wink wink
  14. Yeah, you would start out with the basic camera in the second tier, just in time to take photos in orbit. Then you would get the advanced one around the time you've "mastered" the Mun trip. Finally, the telescope would be a late-game part near the very end of the tree, achieved after your first interplanetary trip or something. (It would be late-game to prevent the "sit in Kerbin orbit and take pictures" thing you mentioned, and it would give reduced science anyways.) Like I said in the OP, I think cameras have the potential to also give different antennas a use. Better antennas = better quality = better science, but antennas are expensive.
  15. It's apparently no longer a barn, because it's now a NUKE LAUNCH FACILITY -ahem More of a military/industrial thing.
  16. SHOTS FIRED That was a pretty good... defense though.
  17. When in doubt: build bomber aircraft. It's the perfect way to turn KSP into another violent game and ruin all SQUAD's hard work! 10/10 would recommend
  18. I think SQUAD is pretty relaxed with their usage rules. As long as you don't actually distribute it (put it on the web or give it to friends permanently) you should be fine.
  19. Instead, bomb the ground right next to it! pizikz!
  20. Pretty sure that's just the last version that was uploaded... as in, 0.90
  21. Chances are people will notice that he's spilling your secrets, people will realize he's enough of a jerk to ditch a friend like this, and then he'll get the "bad reputation".
  22. I don't see why they wouldn't keep developing games. They've proven that they have a capable and talented team... they've got a fan base who's probably willing to test and fund whatever their next creation is... it's clear that KSP, their first-ever game, has been a huge hit (and probably generated a LOT of money for them) The thing I'm worried about is if KSP's success was, you know, a luck-based thing. Not completely luck, but maybe it was just a wild chance that people liked this concept of building rockets. It'll probably be fine though. Hopefully they can figure out what it was that made KSP successful and then the next one will be even better!
  23. Sounds like a jerk. Like others have said, don't get upset about it. There are much better people out there to be friends with...
  24. Because we're keeping it in a heavily guarded car of the Hypetrain. It's more efficient.
