I have RP-0 installed, with RO and RSS. I'm not getting the ability to alter the size of my parachutes (I have RealChutes installed obviously). Does everyone have this, or am I all alone?

Is there any way to hide the non-RP0 parts in career mode? I have to filter through so many parts in R&D.
Had the same question. The following works:

I'm getting a lot of wobbling when the physics is first applied on the launch pad, is there a mod that stops this? I need my rockets flying straight up. For now.
-
I just want to thank you for making this game and the most awesome mods for it. After making the actual game, Squad's best decision, undoubtedly, was to hire you.

I have no idea how it works, but it does. You have my sincerest gratitude, good sir.
I like my things to be neat.
Edit: do you happen to have a similar trick for the RO parts?
-
No you have to install manually for now. But I assume that CKAN will have the mod in the near future.

I have RO and RP-0 installed but the "part not supported by RO or RP-0" is driving me crazy. What do I delete to get rid of it?

I just started a career safe with it. I have launched a few early aircraft and sounding rockets. Works fine so far. No major issues.
Any guides on how to build proper airplanes? I just suck at those. I know the basics, but I'd like to know more. Much more.

Alright I'm going to wait for some more balancing then. Thanks very much for taking the time to answer, guys!

DMagic is great and have been using it in all my carreer saves!!! I always felt there were very few science parts for my taste!
But it doesn't make science abundant/easy to obtain? I want to have to work for it.
-
What do you guys think about DMagicOrbitalScience? Does it make science gathering too easy?

Whatever works I always delete the city light, personally I don't think they look so good. I also increased the height of the clouds, other than that, works perfectly.
This is what it looks like (all highest res packs).

now we'll have to wait just for RVE
You could install SVE, just change the names from the Kerbin/Mun/Duna folders to Earth/Moon/Mars and go into the clouds file and do the same here. You should be able to get your planets looking beautiful, even without RVE. I did this and I'm very happy with the result.

Do you have RP-0 installed? I've always found it weird that the natural progression of the game makes it easier to put a man on the moon than to send an unmanned probe.

You're invited to help.
And I would jump on it if I had any real skills. I'd be awesome to have some programming skills, mod some games, even make my own. I often think I chose the wrong education.

It's just thousand upon thousands of configs, that need to be seperatly updated.
So it's going to be a while before we see RP-0 updated

I'd recommend getting Ven Stock Revamp, too. That's an almost requirement, besides procparts and procfairings.
Are there any tech tree mods you recommend? I installed RP-0, but I got annoyed by all the parts that are "costed by RP-0 but not compatible with RO" and parts that are supported by RO but not by RP-0. But I thought the remade tech tree was really nice.
-
Well it kind of works, but a lot of the parts are supported for RO but not for RP-0. So you can kind of play RP-0 as is, but you will be limited in the parts you can use.
-
Just ignore this, I had an issue and solved it.

I feel like a kid on Christmas eve again, thanks everyone who worked on this!
I'd much appreciate a fool-proof install via CKAN. I don't expect that to take very long?
Edit: managed to install it manually (including RP-0), but I'd feel more comfortable playing on a CKAN install

Hey man, first of all thank you for making this awesome mod, I've been playing with it for a while now, and I love it.
I apologize if this has been handled before, but I can't seem to find any information on the previous pages. I'm playing with RSS, RealFuels, and smokescreen also, and the only engine (so far) that doesn't have a cool plume in flight is the LV-909 "Terrier" engine. Is that because the thrust is so low you shouldn't see a plume, or is there a problem with this mod or something? I've been going through files but couldn't get any wiser. Any help would be much appreciated.

I'm using the Community Tech Tree, Unmanned before manned, the new Kerbalism and a hundred more mods It will be a long way till a manned mission to the Moon!
I've been looking for a way to make that part of the game more realistic. Just a few hours ago I was looking how to get unmanned ships before the manned ones. I've even been looking into Unmanned before manned, but I couldn't figure out a mod pack that would play nice with the RSS/RealFuels/TAC life support/Planetary base systems-game I've got going on. Or find a parts mod that plays nice with realfuels.
Got any tips?

Waiting for an officially published update from the author is always safer for your saves.
I agree. Was just wondering if it's been updated yet since he found the issue. Thanks for taking the time to answer.

Those are some good looking screenshots man! I noticed your vessel in unmanned. Are you playing the sandbox mode? Or do you have a mod overhauling the tech tree?
[1.2] Real Solar System v12.0 Dec 8
in KSP1 Mod Releases
Posted
Hey guys, I've been wanting to increase the difficulty of Kerbal Space Program and I've decided to make everything a tad more realistic. I've been looking around the forums for the past week trying to figure something out. I want to change the Kerbal system to the Solar System for which I'm obviously going to use this mod. But I don't want to have to build enormous rockets to just get to orbit. I'm wondering if any of you guys can recommend which mods to use to rebalance the engines. I don't want to use Realism Overhaul since it's not out for 1.2 yet, and I don't want to downscale the Solar system to stock-size unless there's no other way.
I'm using RealPlume and Realfuel. Are there other mods out there that can help me rebalance/replace the stock parts so that I can play with the real solar system on its real scale?
