  1. i kinda don't mind the new forum look! it's got some solid retro '90s vibes (tricky to use tho, but that was the style back then, along with wearing an onion on your belt!)
  2. oof... those specs are well above what my potato can handle i guess i'll stick with playing KSP1 for a while longer
  3. interestingly, this is incorrect! while a single, double, and triple rope setup can hold 1x, 2x, and 3x the mass, a quad rope setup can only hold 2x the mass. this is because in real life one rope will always be slightly shorter than the others, which will cause the load to be supported entirely by the short rope and it's opposite, while teetering between the 3rd and 4th rope with no guaranteed lift from either. this is also the reason why 4 legged café tables are always unstable!

  5. This mod is amazing, and is definitely going into my "must have" mod list. Such a simple rearrangement brings common sense to the early game, without unnecessarily changing science or part balance! Bravo @GonDragon
  6. it was interesting to watch the launch footage, does anyone know what was happening around T+76s when the paint began to get stripped of the boosters? also around T+140s you can see something flapping wildly near the base of the booster, is this normal?
  7. found another biome for tier 1 KSC! it's possible to sample "R&D Main Building" by bumping up against the quonset hut nearest to the intended building
  8. i like to do BIG career playthroughs (stations & bases on every planet, hundreds of probe landers and communication satellites, tourists everywhere, etc..) so for the sake of my CPU, and to avoid game breaking glitches, i try to keep my mod count to a bare minimum... so about 30
  9. this looks like a nice new feature! i wonder how long it will be before "lab cleaning kits" and "goo seeds" will be required to reset science experiments? perhaps ISRU will need a "catalyst" to begin processing, or engines will require "ignitors"? so many possibilities...

  12. the mod you are looking for is The Kaptain's Log additionally i can also recommend Project Manager, which will simply and automatically number your launches
  13. it's too close to call! all he modders are amazing!! for me, at least, @Ven wins out for sheer old-school coolness, but @DMagic delivers awesome must-have improvements. meanwhile, @linuxgurugamer is carrying the world on his shoulders, [email protected] is the kind of perfectionist i love!

  15. a lot of people are having the same issue, you can work around it by resetting your FlightUI scales (navball, etc..) back to 100%
  16. thank you @The Aziz! i just went to "settings > general > show unity analytics dialog on next startup only > rebooted kerbal > clicked web link > opted out" and now i feel about 20% less paranoid! remember: just because you think the world is out to get you, doesn't mean it isn't!

"so you wanna launch a rocket eh?, better start by making some iron plates..." kerbdew valley? the ultimate marshmallow farming simulator ON MINMUS! ... actually i'd just be happy if the aero model got updated a little so that tubes worked and attachment-point-fu was no longer required for aerodynamically shaped craft
  19. it would be cool if there were badges for this, perhaps implement a star grading system (easy challenge = 1 star, diabolical = 5 stars) and then create a badge for reaching 10 stars, 50 stars, 500 stars, etc..

  23. The theme music from Super Mario Bros 2 has been stuck in my head all week, I've not played that game in over 20 years but now it's on continuous loop inside my brain... send help!! Here it is, but consider youself warned!! It is an insidious ear worm.
  24. if we get a night time VAB it would be amazing to see the kerbal workers running about in their pyjamas, perhaps with a few pillow fights going on! the trucks could be replaced with jet-powered bunk-beds!
